A lot of other places ignored me when I tried reaching out or never called back or were WAAAY to pricey for what we had to move. So thank you so much for being around, having reasonable prices and for having a great crew!

Received a call Thursday at around 8 pm asking if we could reschedule to Saturday. I said no, I have to move by end of day on Friday. Was told OK, we will be there in morning. Received another call at 8 am Friday morning. I was told at this point that " we have a 4 hour minimum". I advised that I would not pay for 4 hours as there is no mention of a minimum on the ad and there was never a discussion of this during our previous conversations. After a few moments I was hung up on. Luckily I was able to get someone else to come do the move. Bottom line is I would not waste my time with this company. IMO was just a blatant attempt to rip me off. If you want to charge a 4 hour minimum put it on your ad or tell your client about it when you are booking the job. Not 2 hours before you are supposed to show up. And no you did not tell me any of this beforehand.

Avoid California Movers - Unprofessional & Damaging Service…read more I hired California Movers for a full-service move, expecting professional handling of my belongings. Instead, I received: Damaged & poorly packed items - My furniture, mattress, comforter, pillows, blankets, lampshades, etc. were left unwrapped and unboxed, now stained, damaged, and most unusable. Careless storage packing - Boxes were crushed and bowing, making my storage unit nearly impossible to open. Negligence - The movers left items behind and caused a large scratch on my hallway wall. Lack of accountability - The owner Jaime has ignored my requests for resolution and failed to return my spare key. I paid $1,600 for a professional move, but ended up with damaged belongings and a major hassle. If you value your belongings, hire a licensed, reputable moving company instead.
