They were clean, organized, respectful, optimistic, and very hard workers. They were hustling in the 90 degree weather - no joke! Shelly answered my call and provided the quote based on some Q&A. The quote came in slightly lower than a competitor and I decided to go with it because of Shelly's responsiveness over the phone (instead of waiting around for someone to do a physical walk-through before they could give me a quote.) The owner called me the day before our scheduled move to confirm the date and time, which I appreciated. Also, All in a Day was available with my short time-frame and they were local to the area my mom was moving so I felt comfortable with their knowledge of the general location. They finished well under the minimum time quoted to me, but that's OK. There was no way my cousins and I were going to be able to move my mom's stuff in the hellish heat of the Central Valley and Frank and Cody worked their A's off so it was worth it to me. Received a call Thursday at around 8 pm asking if we could reschedule to Saturday. I said no, I have to move by end of day on Friday. Was told OK, we will be there in morning. Received another call at 8 am Friday morning. I was told at this point that " we have a 4 hour minimum". I advised that I would not pay for 4 hours as there is no mention of a minimum on the ad and there was never a discussion of this during our previous conversations. After a few moments I was hung up on. Luckily I was able to get someone else to come do the move. Bottom line is I would not waste my time with this company. IMO was just a blatant attempt to rip me off. If you want to charge a 4 hour minimum put it on your ad or tell your client about it when you are booking the job. Not 2 hours before you are supposed to show up. And no you did not tell me any of this beforehand.

Instead, I received: Damaged & poorly packed items - My furniture, mattress, comforter, pillows, blankets, lampshades, etc. were left unwrapped and unboxed, now stained, damaged, and most unusable. Careless storage packing - Boxes were crushed and bowing, making my storage unit nearly impossible to open. Negligence - The movers left items behind and caused a large scratch on my hallway wall. Lack of accountability - The owner Jaime has ignored my requests for resolution and failed to return my spare key. I paid $1,600 for a professional move, but ended up with damaged belongings and a major hassle. If you value your belongings, hire a licensed, reputable moving company instead.
