Excellent food options - we split a pizza and apps both nights and got to try several nice options (bread board, Gouda dip, baked Brie, spinach dip, chicken ranch pizza and hot honey pizza). The wine slushies were fun and we enjoyed the wine flights. Prices felt fair for the portions. Service was incredibly friendly both nights. Beautiful views sitting outside and a cozy vibe inside. We came here on a Saturday evening around 5:00 and, as expected, they were fairly busy. We got a table immediately and our server was prompt, friendly, and helpful. We went primarily to taste their wine, which was pretty good, but not excellent. We weren't overly impressed. The setting is very delightful. The view here is gorgeous and the wine selection was great, there was a wide range of options and the flight is definitely the best way to taste a few! We also enjoyed the breadboard and felt it was a generous size. Definitely a great place for a girl's lunch! read more

The food was was great however, there was an older blonde hair lady that was just very nasty. She bumped into me and was staring me down like I was going to steal something.. she made me feel very uncomfortable. Everyone else on the team was great. Food was excellent and so good. Server was kind! But I have some things to add. 1. I asked for a taste of a unique wine to see if I liked it. Server did not disclose that there was a charge for this, I think she should have because this is not a common thing to do at all. I'm a server and I would never charge someone for something without them knowing. I consider that stealing. 2. The appetizer came out after the food which happens and I get that mistakes happen but it just added more negativity to the experience. I think it should have been known by the server the order of the meal though. 3. Clicked the print receipt button and never got a receipt? Not a huge deal but just another negative addition. Why is the button an option if it wasn't meant to follow through with the action. 4. We asked to sit outside and there was no room which is fine. But when a deuce behind us asked to sit outside, they sat down inside and when the first table was open, they offered it to the people who were seated after us. Overall, this restaurant looks nice and the service was nice. I think this place could really improve in quality and numbers if they paid attention to the details. I would say we'd love to come back because the food was so good but the point of eating out is not just to enjoy food but have a good experience and enjoy your time and money. Nice winery out in the country! The scenery was beautiful. Nice outdoor seating as well as indoor. Started with the blue cheese kettle chips. They were delicious. Nice combo of flavors. Ordered the Reuben pizza. It lacked a lot of meat and the crust was really thin. It wasn't my favorite, but could have maybe been better with more meat. Nice little winery out in the country. Beautiful outdoor seating areas with a large pavilion for large gatherings. Indoors there is a nice bar area and plenty of seating. Service took a minute, but was good. Food was standard. The blue cheese chips were good, nice and crisp with a good bite. The pizza was not my favorite. We opted for the Reuben pizza, about 3 pieces of meat were atop. Very thin crust. Avoid the pizza as it brought the experience down. Stick with the apps and you should be good! read more

Stopped at Valley View Hills Winery in Sugar Grove, a beautiful, way out in the country winery to do some wine tastings and got lucky when we walked in and found out they also served food. Jackpot cause we were starving!! Had a flight of (4) of their sweet wines, we didnt buy any, unfortunately none stood out as "OMG" We need this. Apparently I only took pictures of our wine but the food and vibe here were excellent. As a note, the entrance is in the back of the building and they have plenty of parking. When we arrived they didn't have a spot immediately available so grab a glass of wine and waited outside. We grabbed a seat at the bar shortly after and enjoyed the live music. We started with the sourdough bread board and blue cheese kettle chips which were excellent! We also split a pizza which they make in their pizza oven and had a great flavor and crispness. It was a bit scary traveling to this AMAZING Winery at dusk. Be prepared for dark winding roads through the hills. However when you get the clearing of this magical winery you won't regret it. I would recommend visiting earlier in the day. We tried most of the wine and enjoyed everything. We took home quite a few few bottles. I definitely suggest getting the charcuterie board to help cleanse your palette between samples. I ended with a very tasty frozen wine and would have love to try their food but we had just been to dinner before our visit. Our server/batender was Luke. He was fantastic and really took pride in what we assumed was his family business. He definitely had great recommendations based on our likes and made a effort to get to know us a bit which is totally rare these days. A very classy establishment that we can't wait to go back with friend and family. read more

The place where Valley View is located is beautiful. Really serene and lovely farm and woods area. Sadly, my wife and I felt that the vibe of the actual facility was very much a restaurant that happened to have a winery with it. That's how the menu struck us, too. We have visited wineries all over Ohio and, while not all have been amazing, we have never felt such a lack of a winery ambience. We also felt that the wines were very watered down--they didn't have the rich taste we were hoping for. My wife and I both developed headaches shortly after visiting, too. Not sure if it was the wine, but it's quite a curious coincidence if not. The place was VERY busy (customers queued up at the hostess stand), so clearly a lot of people like it. Our server was very good (though it took some time to get someone to take care of us). And maybe when it isn't so busy it's really quite nice. But it was not for us that evening, and because of our perception of how the wine tasted and the busy restaurant vibe, we'll not return. read more

An incredible hidden gem (likely only because they haven't been open that long)! Valley View did everything right from start to finish. It's clear they take pride in their grounds and want hidden everyone to feel welcome. Each staff member we interacted with was polite, kind, and attentive; clearly working as a team. They have a large assortment of drinks, something for everyone instead of just a basic winery. I particularly enjoyed the watermelon/peach wine slushy. The menu has all the staples you would expect, easily enough for a nice dinner or we made a meal of apps and a charcuterie board. Topped it off with a lovely Pizookie dessert. Can't wait to go back on a Saturday when they have live music! read more
