Rude management with some decent sales reps. Called several times for questions about deliveries and flocking and was hung up on multiple times. A salesman walked my family and me through the lot for several minutes and was very helpful and knowledgeable, but on our way to selecting our tree, the manager berated the young salesman and told him to get back to work. The manager was rude and overcharged on flocking so we didn't get exactly what we wanted, but the tree and the selections were very good. Disappointed that management lied about the smaller lot across the street being a different company and having a poorer selection. Looking through most reviews, reviews are from people out of state. Good tree but dishonest sales tactics that left a bad taste in my mouth. I wish this out-of-state company would hire local people. read more

I highly advise staying away from this location. This is our second time giving this lot a shot and both of our trees were dead within a week. Have always had great luck from other stands. Our tree stopped drinking within a day and began browning and turning crispy a few days after that. It looked awful and was dropping needles like crazy. We understand this is out of a tree farm's control, but customer service is something they can control. I emailed the head farm photos and instantly received an email to return it. What transpired will go down as the worst customer service experience we have ever had. My husband took it back to where we bought it at at Valley View Christmas Trees - Pecos Rd. as instructed by the tree farm. When Josh got there, the managers were argumentative, defensive and called Josh a liar. They did not believe we were told to return it and once they were shown proof, they then told him his receipt was not from them. At first they said it wasn't a valley view receipt and then said it was another location, not theirs. Accusing my husband of being a liar at every turn. Josh told them we have photos there from less then 2 weeks ago. They finally asked to see the tree and accused Josh of not watering it. Clearly not on the side of the customer from the very beginning. A nice worker (not the manager) who was helping kindly pointed out to his managers the water line the tree had been sitting in and showed them it was still wet. They then argued to Josh about the size even though our receipt was $150 and the worker who was 6 feet tall pointed out the tree we returned was taller than him and Josh (who is 6 feet four). Josh finally was tired of arguing and they went and picked the scrawniest 5 foot 6 feet tree in the lot. A lot of money, a lot of hassle taking time to take down a tree and return it and a lot of disappointment. They were downright rude to Josh as a paying customer and were very resistant to helping. Josh loaded the tree and was so upset that he went back in to tell them what a horrible experience that was (when we were simply doing what the farm told us to do!) and he said he knows tree farms don't make millions and it's a tough business, but the customer service was awful and it was a really bad experience to pay $150 for a dead tree and then come home with a small, sparse tree that doesn't even compare. The manager just said "yea I can empathize". And that was it. It isn't about the money or the tree...it's about the treatment of people....paying customers. Never using them again or referring people to them. Costco and fake trees from now on. read more

Great family atmosphere! Took the wife and 1.5 yr old and was greeted with smiles and assistance. This was my wife's first real tree and she had lots of questions that were easily handled by our Army Vet salesman. Super nice man and easy/informative to deal with. Huge selection and competitive pricing throughout (we had visited 3 other locations). The company supports charity's and even has a Santa that visits on Fridays. We will be back for sure!! read more

This place deserves 10 stars! After driving to 4 locations (10 days before Christmas) we found nothing but dry Charlie Brown trees at big chain stores. Went to another family tree lot and they wanted $120 for a 6 foot tree marked down from $140! We decided to go to one last place and came here. The owner was so friendly, telling us all about the different types of trees that were much more reasonably priced and all in stands regularly watered. He sold us an 8 foot Grand Fir for $50!! Simply because he's a good guy and wanted us to have a tree. His 3 young employees had the tree cut, branches trimmed and tied to the roof of our car in less than 10 minutes. All the while we're sharing stories and getting to know them. This was THE best experience I've ever had shopping for a Christmas Tree. We're hooked and will never but from a big chain store again! We have been going to Valley View trees for several years. They have always given EXCELLENT customer service. This year we went to the same location as last year, I asked the young man that greeted us if it was the same lot as the year before and he said yes that they had been there for years. When I inquired about the lot on the corner across from them he said that they were rude and new. I was definitely not thrilled with the trees I saw and the prices for the sub par trees was ridiculous. My husband and I went to the lot across the street. (SE corner of Guadalupe/Higley) As soon as I saw the name of the lot "Valley View Trees" I knew it was the lot we had been to for the last several years. We found the perfect tree there. We bought it there of course and had the same excellent customer service and our return customer discount. I was really annoyed that the guy from the first lot tried to deceive me. I hope that people realize that their "Wisconsin trees were garbage and the line of crap the young man was spewing was lies. Thank you Valley View Trees!!!!! Looking forward to seeing you again next year. read more
