Lovely venue! We attended a half indoor/half outdoor afternoon wedding here this past weekend. The ceremony took place in the ballroom indoors. It was a spectacular room - super high ceilings, spacious even with the socially distanced spaced seating, and lit with tall beautiful windows. Cocktail hour had great appetizer stations. The catering staff was polite and friendly, and the appetizer food was great! The entire space was brightly lit by floor to ceiling windows and beautifully backdropped by the gardens and greens outdoors. The wedding naturally led into outdoor patio space with stairs leading down to by the pond, where we had the remainder of the reception. I saw an outdoor fire pit not in commission, but I could tell it would be awesome in the evenings. The koi pond was beautiful and one of the best backgrounds for photos ;) Even the main course entrees were really good! I'm not sure if our party used an in-house caterer, but the salmon and steak was cooked perfectly! I would love to come back here for any occasion. A lot of people told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to and people are still talking about the cocktail hour months later! All of the staff are great too,-very friendly and welcoming. One is too many stars. It's really unfortunate that this venue was unwilling to work with those couples for weddings who were impacted by covid over the last year. For couples that were supposed to get married in 2020 and had to push their dates to 2021, not only did they not offer to allow them to cancel and get deposits back but also MADE COUPLES PAY MORE THAN WHAT THEY BOOKED FOR in 2020. They had couples pay more per plate if they had to rebook to the following year and not like a buck or two, a pretty significant increase per plate. They also made them sign new contracts saying if they were to cancel after the rebook that they would not get their deposits back. I understand the venues have been impacted but so have the couples who had to move events. What even worse is that they'll likely keep the deposit and book that date for another couple/person wanting to book an event. Of course, this review is my opinion but I find it disgusting that this is how they operate. I know of other venues that have worked to accommodate and have even refunded deposits in full for cancelations. I will not be recommending this venue to anyone because of what I see as their poor practices, the willingness to accommodate, and the increase in prices. There are plenty of other venues in NJ. Do yourself a favor and avoid the hassle. Again, my opinion but I recommend you talk to others who have booked this venue pre-covid and had to deal with the atrocities this place has pulled off. I had my wedding here on 7/12/19 and I really cannot talk enough about how amazing this venue was! They're constantly renovating, so the place is always one of the most beautiful in NJ. My husband and I were drawn to it because of its amazing ballroom and the fact that they only do one wedding at a time. We worked with both Franco and Vinny during the planning process and they were outstanding. They were able to accommodate any request without question (we were able to get into the bridal suite when the venue opened, they procured every type of food we could think of, and most important, they were extremely pleasant and professional). The cocktail hour was INSANE. Wall to wall food and it was all delicious! I can't tell you how many people came up to us to tell us how it was the best cocktail hour they've ever been to. Danny, our Maitre D, had the party running like a well-oiled machine, and we didn't have to worry about a single thing. Last but not least, the bridal attendant, Irene, was an angel. She anticipated every need before I even think of it. She brought us a little bit of everything during cocktail hour, all 3 entrees for dinner, and even replenished our sorbet intermezzo when it melted due to us being outside for pictures. Not only did she make my day incredible, but my parents & husband said that she was catering to them all night at the same level that she was catering to me! The first time we walked into Valley Regency we knew there was something special about this venue, but decided not to book right away as we had other appointments. After looking at 10 venues it became very clear that Valley Regency was the perfect fit for us. Our only regret was not realizing this sooner. Valley Regency had all of the elements we were looking for in a wedding venue including its beautiful grounds, breathtaking ballroom, and of course the sprawling cocktail hour. We loved the fact that they only host one wedding at a time, making the staff devoted to you. The spacious and well-manicured grounds allowed us to take a variety of photos with great backdrops. The elevated ceremony space provided all of our guests with a clear view of the ceremony and made us feel like we were on top of the world. The cocktail hour room was very spacious which allowed our guests to eat and mingle comfortably, and also offered a wide variety of dishes that ensured there was something for everyone. Our Maître d' (Danny) and both Bridal Attendants were AMAZING! Danny did not miss a beat, kept us on schedule, and went above and beyond our expectations to make sure everything was perfect! Unfortunately the weather on our wedding day was spotty with periods of heavy rain which made us debate moving the ceremony indoors. Danny kept monitoring the weather throughout the afternoon and thankfully led us in the direction to remain outside. Our Bridal Attendants looked out for us every second of the day to make sure our glasses were not left empty and that we were able to take a step back and enjoy the food. Overall, every aspect of the venue was absolutely beautiful and made for a perfect day. Since our wedding, Valley Regency has done additional renovations to make their already magnificent venue even more spectacular. Venue shopping can be hard, we walked through many different venues and stumbled upon Valley Regency. We walked into the one of the most beautiful Venue's I have ever seen. Needless to say my daughter and future son-in-law fell in love with the venue. We booked their wedding way before Covid hit and coincidentally picked a date during the heat of Covid. Valley Regency work with us to move our date with little to no effort. I can't say enough good things about their staff, Vinny & Franco Helped me tremendously to get everything right, they held my hand through the whole process, and guided me in the right direction to make my daughters wedding Flawless. The wedding happened 3/27/22 and I have to say it was Absolutely exquisite, the Cocktail hour was amazing, the variety of food was off the hook! the warmth of the room was absolutely Amazing especially with the deck and windows, such a wow wee! When My guests walked into the ballroom they were just blown away by the ambience of the room, warm and welcoming yet grand and picturesque we felt like we were in an Italian Villa. Our dinner was delicious & abundant, the ballroom is absolutely gorgeous great for pics love the fireplace mantle, Beautiful windows & Exquisite ceiling. When I started wedding planning it was about just having a wedding so my family & friends can see me get married. Never had I expected to feel like a Queen for the day. What a great venue to have a wedding reception! This past weekend my wife and I attended a very big wedding reception at the Valley Regency and it was done right. The food during the happy hour was plentiful and amazingly delicious. Now I understand that you get what you pay for, and this wedding reception was huge, so the food choices were amazing. My favorite was probably the soft-shrll crab station...or maybe the raw bar...or maybe the broccoli Rabe and sausage station...oh hell, it was all amazing! The venue itself is really great...excellent decor, lots of space for seating, even with a huge wedding, and very comfortable. I will say that they seemed to stumble a bit with the dinner service as it took a VERY long time for dinner to be served, but I don't know of that was by choice of the bride or just a slow service...from the comments of the wait staff I think it was just a bit tough feeding this many people. That said, I thought the dinner was excellent. The Caesar Salad was great and ny actual meal was delicious. Châteaubriand, green beans, potatoes, and chicken al toscana were all done perfectly. We absolutely loved getting married at the Valley Regency! We saw about 10 venues in North Jersey and fell in love with the venue from our first visit. The venue has been recently renovated/updated and everything is absolutely incredible! There are great options for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies, the cocktail hour room is beautiful with lots of seating and space, and the ballroom is breathtaking! Throughout the whole wedding process Vincent and his team were incredibly helpful and promptly answered all of our questions by phone or email. All of Vincent's advice in the weeks leading up to the wedding was 100% accurate. They are truly professionals and do everything they can to make you happy! Everything went perfect the day of the wedding and Vincent and Danny ensured it was a success! There was an amazing amount of food and a month later our guests are still talking about the cocktail hour and the outdoor ceremony space. We are so happy that the weather cooperated and we were able to get married outside! The only hiccup was that they forgot to put out our "thank you" gifts out at the end of the night, but Vincent went above and beyond and mailed the gift to each guest, which worked out even better than planned! I recently went here for a wedding. I believe the happy couple had every conceivable item at their cocktail hour, it was unlike anything I've ever seen. Everything was delicious, and watching a staff member making and serving fresh mozzarella was mind boggling. The staff was all pleasant and attentive, the ballroom was beautiful. Like many others, I came here for a wedding. I had passed this hall a bunch of times and thought nothing of it as it's on a main road and from the outside, looked like every other NJ Venue. However, once you get there, valet is super nice. They open your car doors for you. He even told my date that he had left his suit jacket in the car. Awesome. We get in, beautiful hall. Then we were told to go outside for the wedding and there was a beautiful mini waterfall with a koi pond as well as an outdoor fireplace (though it wasn't lit as it was already a nice summers day). The food at cocktail hour was nice. The staff seemed friendly (if a little quick to clear things for you, even when I had a few sips left in my wine). Then the actual reception area was really nice as well with plenty of dance floor space and elbow room. Bathrooms were gorgeous and kept pretty clean (until later in the night when someone definitely threw up in the one stall). Definitely a prime choice and location to have an event! read more

LOVED our venue! We had planned on an outdoor ceremony in April 2011 but a thunderstorm forced us into the contingency room, which is still quite lovely. It was nice that the entire venue is in one HUGE building and the complimentary valet service kept our guests from getting wet. :) Franco worked with us from the beginning and was extremely accommodating. I really liked how it was a one stop shop. Once we booked the place I didn't have to worry about linens, ceremony set up or break down, caterer, wedding cake, etc etc etc. MANY of our guests commented on the service (each table gets their own waiter) and the superb quality and amazing quantity of food! Neither my husband nor I drink, and neither do our guests, and the Valley Regency was wonderful in accommodating our request and providing sparkling beverages to still lend a festive air. The day of the wedding , Danny and Irine kept me calm and were wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend the Valley Regency! One bonus is that since the venue itself is so beautiful and they have many of their own flower arrangements; you only need to use your florist for centerpieces! You get what you pay for. I got married here last year in September. I was livid after the wedding. They first told me that gratitude is included but they asked for it ON THE DAY OF THE WEDDING. Be prepare for this. I would have prepared it they advised me honestly. The wedding arranger was impossible to find after you pay for the wedding. I saw him once when I march down the isle. One of my friend who were helping me out said that I have the worst wedding arranger (she got married 2 weeks before I did at a different location). Instructions weren't given out properly. This is my first time getting married so I wasn't sure when things will get prepared. When I first sign up with them, they advised that they will contact me how to arrange the wedding soon but they didn't tell me that they will not call me until few days before the wedding. I get to speak to different person every time. Few of my friends didn't even get to sit during wedding ceremony because no one bother to guide them with chairs. Food was just average. Not enough choices of food to eat on buffet and sushi was very limited. No else close to what they promised me. Some guests complained that they didn't even get to try sushi. A lot of guests went home hungry because there were just sandwiches left at the end. Service was good though. I am surprised that they have good reviews. I guess they value your money so it would be nice to go with expensive options. I am only giving 2 stars for the beauty of the place. This was the worst place I've ever been to. I was there last night for a high school event. The water came out with black pebbles in it. I had to ask 3 times for them to get me new water. The servers had no clue what they were doing. The dinner came out and it tasty nasty. The mashed potatoes with the chicken tasted like it has been in the fridge for a month. The dessert was hard and you couldn't even bite into it. We also never got coffee for the table. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Attended a friends wedding here today. The food was plentiful and delicious. We were greeted with a cocktail then had the ceremony followed by a lavish cocktail hour. There was a large variety of food and plenty of it. One dish was better than the next. I am reviewing this as a bride...not a guest. The guests loved it....as a bride....not so much. After booking for my wedding, I asked for a tasting since my fiancé never ate there. I did at my sister's wedding. Franco told me they only do it twice a year. Well, I never got a call for the tasting and I booked almost a year in advance. But when I called and said I'd like to schedule one, Franco happily made the appointment. Then when I showed up he looked at me like I had five heads and said, "we don't do tastings". Awesome. And then he handed us off to someone else because he was too busy for our meeting to choose food. They lowered their minimum to 120 for me since my sister also had her wedding here. Many people weren't willing to make the trip so we asked to only pay for who was coming. We were told no. I can understand that since we DID sign a contract - OK They wanted to charge $750 for up lighting. No thanks. My dad asked Franco if he could help him out. Franco said $500. I decided not to do the lights. $500 to flick a switch doesn't seem worth it to me. But when I handed Franco the final check he kissed me on both cheeks and said, "hey, we're family!" last I checked, my relatives didn't charge me $500 to turn lights on. The maître di, Danny, left without notice on my wedding day. I was searching for him! He did however tell my dad, "if you want to tip me, leave it with Louis." HA! I'm sad I actually tipped him after it all. There was an Elvis impersonator there who gave a surprise performance...you would think the Valley would flick on a light for the event. Nope...he performed in the dark. My bridal attendant was AWESOME!! LOVED HER!! She's almost the only reason for any stars at all. Unless you have a party of 200+ people, you are just a waste of their time. They do the minimum of what you expect. They certainly don't go out of their way. I think this is just the norm for Jersey weddings unless they are larger. Bride's are not special these days. They are part of a wedding mill that venues and vendors shove through until they get their checks. Oh well. read more

This weekend the garden hosted the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen. When the breeze blows cherry blossom buds float around the bride and groom. The open patio area that everyone mingled about overlooked the gorgeous garden and had ample seating and enough shade to block out a hot spring afternoon. I'm seriously blown away by how beautiful the wedding was. Inside, the dance floor is a normal, non-intimidating size. The food was absolutely terrific and was catered by the site. Danny took the best care of us, and not only the bride and groom, but made sure all of our guests were comfortable and pleased throughout the night. I attended a wedding here this weekend for a sorority sister. I was extremely impressed by the venue and even called my sister afterwards to say "why didn't you look here to get married?!" I went for a wedding there last Friday. Grounds nicely manicured. Food awesome rooms gorgeous. One thing fell short which can hamper a good night. The bartender was obnoxious, rude and condescending. When I asked him the first time for a Pinot Grigio with ice he poured a drink and put it down sans ice! Then I pointed out that there wasn't any ice and he yanked the glass then poured one packed ice and threw it down in my face. (Strike 1). I asked if they offered New Amsterdam and he said yeah because it was there during cocktail hour. He responded yes then I asked for a New Amsterdam and he poured a well vodka drink. On April 1 2021 We hosted my 50th Birthday Bash at Valley Regency!!!! From the start to Finish . The staff Lou , Franco, Fabio, Mary Ann . Offered the most impeccable service anyone could ask for from walking in the door and giving them a deposit. Till the last piece of cake was being served !!! The patience's and the dedication these four people provide to their clients Is the Epitome of top notch service!!!!! I must have changed the menu like a dozen times even down to the last two days . And every time I called with a change . The answer I received from any of the four people mentioned, was no problem done !!! On the evening of the event Fabio was the maître d' !!! Omg my guest loved him . His participation with my guests was absolutely over the top amazing! This past weekend the VR hosted my friend's wedding & it was amazing! As someone who's driven past many prior times without thinking much of the place, I was truly surprised to see how beautiful the inside & grounds were. The bridal suite is huge & leads out to a very nice garden where most of our picture taking took place. The bathrooms were spotless & large enough to comfortably accomodate the bride & her 7 bridesmaids all at once. The staff very friendly & helpful. The food...well, all I have to say is that the cocktail hour had so many options that I didn't even get a chance to try everything & everything I did try was delicious. We had our wedding at the Valley Regency on Saturday December 15, 2018. We couldn't have been happier. We met with several other venues in the area about having a " Continuous Cocktail" reception. Most venues didn't know what we were talking about or didn't wanted to accommodate us. Not the Valley Regency. The moment we walked in Vincent worked with us and we never heard the word no. Anything we wanted, Vincent added it to the list. He would just say, "I'll take care of it", and if he wasn't around, Franco and Anthony would step in and help us finish the planning without missing a beat. They fulfilled all of our special requests down to the last detail. All of our guests raved about how great the food was and all the different options. Vincent helped us select and recommended many dishes. He provided a few extras we requested to the menu and bar and redesigned the cocktail room with full size tables to accommodate our needs. Danny, the Maitre'd, and his staff made sure everything ran smoothly during the ceremony and reception and Irene, the bridal attendant, took care of my Wife's every need. My family and I attended a wedding at this beautiful venue last night. Our waiter was absolutely amazing. I wish I could say the same for the bartender. I noticed disrespectful and inappropriate words he was mouthing off to his colleagues about my husband, my father and I. My brother just had his wedding there this Thursday and it was an amazing reception. To start with the grounds are just beautiful. My daughter was the flower girl and was the only kid at the reception! She found the pound with the fish in it and one of the staff members saw that she wanted to feed hem and came out and have her food and told her the name and story of one of the fish. She loved that staff member and wish I could have remember there name. After we took pictures we came to the cocktail hour. It was the most amazing cocktail hour I have ever been too. There is nothing I would have done to change it. They had a martini station with a ice chute for making martini's. Right next to it my daughter found the candy station which consisted of her favorite jelly belly's. They had food stations all over the room from carved meats, fruits , vegetables , seafood and much more. Everything even tastes incredible. I have absolutely no complaints on anything. Servers were also coming around with appetizers and getting our drink orders. I never waited long for any food or a drink. After the cocktail hour we went into the main room for the wedding. The staff was also great in there. They were on the ball for everything. My husband had the steak and I had the salmon ! My daughter had chicken fingers but she fell asleep. The best part was is that they saw and didn't even ask and boxes it up for us to take back to the hotel for the next day. I could go on and on about how exquisite this place was. read more
