A great experience. After interviewing a number of oral surgeons in Allentown at consultations, we…read morechose Dr. DiLeo. For wisdom teeth, Dr. DiLeo uses removable stitches. I had read that dissolving stitches don't always dissolve and can cause problems later. Many other oral surgeons in the valley use dissolving stitches, so I was glad to find a surgeon who doesn't. Dr. DiLeo is both professional and caring. He is an experienced and clear communicator. He also has the somewhat rare ability to listen to patients concerns as well as those of the parents. The receptionist was a bit crisp in her manner - but also kind and definitely efficient. She seemed genuine, which I prefer over a fake smoothness. It is reassuring to sit with Nemo, and Dori and the whole living cast from FINDING NEMO in the waiting room while your loved one is having a procedure. That aquarium is incredible - so clean and the fish so healthy. Also liked the 60s music playing. There was overall a sense of caution but also calm of the whole facility. Calm is good!

We chose this oral surgery practice because it was listed as in-network under my daughter's college…read moreAetna dental insurance plan. Before the procedure, she prepaid about $1500 and signed standard paperwork, but we were not specifically warned that IV/deep sedation and related medication charges could be entirely excluded under her plan. After the wisdom teeth extraction, Aetna denied over $1000 of sedation and medication charges even though the surgery itself was covered. We later learned that these anesthesia services were categorically excluded under our specific dental plan. While my daughter was away at college and we were actively working through the insurance appeal process, the office sent collection warnings and added "service charges" to the balance, which created significant additional stress. The office eventually removed those charges after we complained. The clinical care may have been standard, but the financial communication and billing experience were extremely disappointing. Future patients should ask very specifically, in advance, whether IV sedation is covered under their exact insurance plan and what their expected out-of-pocket exposure could be -- even if the provider is in-network.

Even though I had made an appointment a week in advance, a day before my scheduled appointment, I…read morereceived a phone call stating that my appointment had been moved back by 2 hours. When I finally went for a consultation for an extraction, the waiting room was so packed, I was lucky to find a place to sit. I spent around 45 min. in the waiting room before I was finally taken for x rays. Then I was left to wait for a dentist in the exam room for over 1 1/2 hours! I finally had to get the attention of someone walking down the hall to ask if I had been forgotten. I was told the dentist would be right with me. I spent a total of 3 hours there. Very unprofessional. The day of the extraction, I discovered that there was no place to put my coat and purse, yet they have signs everywhere stating personal belongings are not allowed to be brought in the room where the extraction takes place and they are not responsible for stolen items! Just before the dentist proceeded with the extraction, i was told that my insurance didn't cover a bone graft (I had told them ahead of time I did not want this) and my insurance also didn't cover anesthesia. I asked the cost of the anesthesia and was shocked to be informed it would be around $250! When I told them i couldn't afford that, I'm a senior on a fixed income, the dentist quoted a reduced (yet still expensive) fee and left for a few minutes. One of the assistants told me they would take cash now. When I informed them I didn't' carry that kind of cash with me, they said they would accept plastic. I told them I wasn't prepared to pay and they said they'd bill me. While the extraction wasn't as painful as expected, the dentist didn't even bother to speak to me upon leaving. I was presented with instructions and 4 prescriptions. I didn't fill one prescription as I felt it was not necessary. Finally the dentist that performed the extraction was not the same dentist that did the consultation. There's no way i'll ever retutn here again for any dental work.

I've had a horrible experience with Smile Krafters in Bethlehem PA I was billed for services and…read morewas told that included the procedure and biopsy. I then received another bill from pathology. I was never told I would be getting another bill. I asked for an itemized bill and never received one. I'm now responsible for this surprise bill so basically I was lied to. I can't talk to the billing department or a supervisor. This was so unprofessional and I'm beyond upset.

I am currently a cancer patient receiving chemo and radiation treatments, and they were sure to get the release from my doctor to proceed with oral surgery. I need to have all my teeth pulled and get dentures and have no insurance. Jess was able to set me up with a payment plan and it was quite expensive. She did the best she could and applied a $1,000 coupon to my total which helps a lot. And Dr Chadra was very careful not allow the loose post tooth come out during the mold fitting. Thank you so much, He also, as a courtesy because of all that is happening in my health life is affording me the permanent fitting dentures in 6 months time, which I had not previously qualified for. I cried I was so touched by his caring. Very nice staff at this office. I am so excited to get my new teeth and smile. Oh, I guess I'll have to learn how to talk again too! I love a challenge Like
