She received lower dentures from him, and they were incredibly painful and never fit properly. Despite many, many visits over a 2-3 year period, he was unable to fix the issue. What frustrated us the most was that he never took a mold of her top teeth to ensure the lower dentures would match properly. It felt like a complete waste of time and money, especially since he would not break down the invoice for me. Quite suspicious. I would never recommend him. read more

He cannot deal with any difficulties and will not pull a tooth because he's not licensed so will want to "save" the tooth by his preferred method of a root canal. Root canal never lasts and the horrific pain... almost always, a root canal results in a pulled tooth by another dentist. Fact check for yourself. read more

This was my first visit to Dr. Tynecki and his team, and it was terrific. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, especially given it was an emergency appointment. I moved to PA and needed to find a new dentist (one of the most daunting tasks for me: not knowing who to go to, or who to trust, etc..) so I came across Dr. Tynecki through my insurance. I decided to give him a try and I'm so glad I did. I have some health problems, especially my neck, and they were so accommodating to me it was almost unreal. They had a few pillows to choose from once they took me back without even having to ask for one. The hygienist took her time with me and allowed me to take brakes for my neck. She made the cleaning process so much more easier for me and that meant so much. I could tell she cared. When I checked out, I could tell they actually meant it when they asked how my appointment went. They did find a cavity and Dr. Tynecki did NOT try to pressure me AT ALL. Neither did the front desk to try and make me schedule it ASAP to get it fixed. I had to return to get a cavity filled, and once again, the pillows were ready for my neck and the first thing Dr. Tynecki and his assistant wanted to do was make sure my neck was comfortable. I've never felt like an office actually cared about me (I don't know about you, but I don't see that much in dentists offices). Last but surely not least, they are a family run business so it's always such a "homey" vibe there. The office manager/front desk lady, is one of the more caring souls ive ever met. GREAT, great, great! Fantastic dentist and hygienists. So skilled and personable. Front desk personnel fantastic. I never ever ever need to wait. I was looking for a dentist in the Lehigh Valley after not going for quite some time. I made at appointment at Designing Smiles after seeing the positive reviews. The staff was friendly and professional. The hygienist (can't remember her name) did most of the work - she was very kind, gentle, and thorough. Dr. Tynecki came in at the end to review my x-rays and take a quick look in my mouth. I was afraid I was going to have dental problems or get some judgment because it had been so long, but both Dr. Tynecki and the hygienist were very positive and reassuring. I also did not feel that anyone was trying to push services I did not need. Definitely will be returning! read more

I am new to the area from NYC and was searching for a dentist that was welcoming and caring. I frequently use yelp to help me locate restaurants but this was my first time searching for a professional establishment. My day started painfully. I stubbed my big toe on an uneven concrete sidewalk panel as I was walking towards Designing Smiles. I entered Designing Smiles and Tina, the office manager, helped me with band aids after I explained about my stub toe. She is the happiest office manager I ever met at a dentist office. After some quick first aid and paperwork I met with my Dental Hygienist, Kari. Don't let her upbeat personality distract you. She has hands of an angel and is fully transparent during my cleaning. By the end of the my visit I had forgotten about my stubbed toe. Reasons for my visit. Standard Teeth cleaning Kari's treatment: - Always smiling :) - Attentive to my questions and helpful - Had my teeth X-Ray - easy and completed within minutes. - As she was cleaning my teeth she explained each instrument and the reasons for the tool. - She was gentle and thorough. Cleaned my problem areas Flossed my teeth to feel for any further issues She felt some stiffness and re-cleaned some areas Brushed my teeth for me - first time and I felt pampered! This was my first time that my rinse and spit was clear minus the blood. - After my teeth cleaning I spoke to Dr. Tynecki. He was kind, full of life, and caring. If there was a sixth star on Yelp I would had selected it for Designing Smiles for their outstanding service. I now have to rebaseline who deserves five stars. After being scared of the dentist from a previous bad experience, my experience with Dr. Tynecki could not have been any better. His staff members are genuinely sweet, friendly and helpful. He is professional, informative and explains everything he is doing to you, what he sees, and why he sees it. In no way did he try to "sell" any procedures or find problems that don't exist. After 25 years with my dentist, I switched to Designing Smiles. I met Dr. Tynecki at a social gathering. When he commented on my beautiful smile I explained that I was told by my dentist & the periodontist he recommended, I needed $7000 worth of work. Dr. Tynecki had a very strong reaction to what I was told I needed done & suggested I come in for a 2nd opinion. The first thing he pointed out to me was the bone loss I was told I had was in the spaces where my wisdom teeth were removed & there was no reason to fill it in with synthetic bone. Then, gum grafts that were recommended would not only be temporary--as my gums will continue to recede as I get older, they would turn brown, affecting my beautiful smile. He recommended filling in the spaces where my nerves were exposed could be done for approximately $150!!!! I returned to my dentist with this information and HE REFUSED TO HAVE A DISCUSSION WITH ME! I was floored and immediately started going to Designing Smiles. My husband & my son also came over with me and I recommend people to Dr. Tynecki every chance I get. He could have told me what i needed would only have cost $2000 and i would have thought I had gotten a deal! He is up on the latest techniques, has the latest equipment, and wonderful staff. read more

I think everybody else hit the nail on the head with the positive reviews. The only thing I can add is my own experience. I had not been to the dentist in quite some time due to negative experiences. Had I known that this organization existing, I would not have waited so long. I was truly terrified to go the first time and now I will happily go back at any point.
