I want to share an example of how thorough and knowledgeable Dr. Muff is - my one tooth was causing me sharp sensitivity to liquid, that started a few months ago. The dentist I WAS seeing at the time said there was nothing to worry about.. well upon arrival to Dr. Muff's she examined the area (which at one point had a filling done that was poorly done) and insisted I see an endodontist for a potential root canal.. as that is what she suspected was needed. Shortly after, I got into the specialist she recommended, and the imaging/specialist indeed confirmed I needed a root canal! My tooth already feels better. Can't thank Dr. Muff and Dr. Jabbs from Silvaggio Endodontics enough! 10/10!!!

This guy comes in for fill-ins and sees I'm uncomfortable but shows ZERO concern for it... Two weeks later, I get a phone call from a snippy receptionist asking am I going to bother showing up for my dentist appointment!! WHAT? I didn't even call back to reschedule! What are you talking about?? Then a week after that they call about the balance for my last fill-in (over and over and over again.) I give them my CC info over the phone tell them to charge it and leave me alone. Now, here it is several months later and I'm getting a bill in the mail... A bill for services rendered for the second fill-in and missed appointment.... IF I MISSED THE APPOINTMENT (THAT I DIDN'T SCHEDULE IN THE FIRST PLACE) HOW ARE YOU BILLING ME FOR THE FILL-IN?? This was stated in writing and was part of the agreement that the dentist was supposed to follow as a provider under my particular dental coverage. Instead, Dr. Zilker charged me over twice the amount I should have been charged. His office staff is just as bad, because after checking with my dental insurance the next day, I called the office and asked to have the overcharge rectified by crediting my credit card. Instead, the office employee kept stalling and did not return my calls. Even after I tried to reach Dr. Zilker to have him resolve the mater, he never returned my calls. Moreover, this office runs a scam about billing for missing an office appointment that I did not make! For instance, his office sent me a $60.00 fraudulent bill. If you contact the professional certification agency in Harrisburg, you'll be told that the monitoring agency does not get involved in billing disputes. So, Zilker uses this ploy to dishonestly increase his income. Steer clear of this dentist!

She was annoyed that I was choking on the enormous device that she put in my small mouth. She begrudgingly gave me a smaller device. She blamed me for it falling out though I clearly followed her directive. The x-rays were extremely painful & there were a countless amount of them. I thought it would never end. The hygienist seemed very nice but she did not clean my teeth which are in dire need of cleaning. The dentist was cold. She said I had an abscessed tooth & described some remedies. Her advice was moot because she is not in my network. She prescribed Amoxicillin & Ibuprofen, 800 mg. The latter is known for stomach bleeding. I took one & was nauseated all day. I threw them out.

I made a call yesterday, 6/18/15 to another oral surgeon, and they scheduled a consultation visit for 7/26/15. Yup, over a month. I was supposed to advise my dentist when I had made an appointment. They were not happy that I was to wait that long. I told them that Milano and Mazza were close enough that I would consider going there. I hung up and in less than 15 minutes, I received a call from M&M's office to schedule my appt for today with Dr Mazza. (I'm just gonna call them M&M from now on, it seems easier, hehe) I thought I needed two visits, that I would have one procedure done, and a consult on the second procedure. But nope...they did it all in one shot, which I am thrilled about. I saw Dr. Mazza today, during the prep and the procedure, he showed great concern for any pain or discomfort that I might feel. I tried to make it clear that pain in the dentist chair does not bother me, since I know it's temporary. But I could tell that he wanted me to be comfortable and pain free. Post-procedure, Dr. Mazza went over followup care in detail, answering any questions...the usual stuff that you get from a good doctor. The staff is very friendly and I felt less like a patient and more like a customer :) I'm glad that the other place I attempted to visit was booked, and that I had to schedule with Dr Mazza. If you require the services of an oral surgeon, do yourself a favor and visit them first.

I will never bring my family back here, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for care. We walked in for an appointment today and immediately felt an incredibly uncomfortable vibe. The waiting room was heavily decorated in a way that felt more like a political rally, maga boomer living room VA, than a neutral medical facility. In a lighthearted, almost joking manner, I asked the front desk receptionist, "Is this a MAGA dentistry?" Instead of a direct answer, she just replied that it was "America's birthday." Okay, sure.....and i wish that I got the decorations on the tree. I sat down to fill out paperwork, but literally 30 seconds, the only other patient in the waiting room decided to intervene. Having overhead my question, she stood up, walked over, and completely accosted my son and me. She began screaming at us, demanding that we leave, and claimed she was taking pictures of us. What makes this completely unacceptable is the staff's reaction: * Total Inaction: The office workers sat by and did absolutely nothing. They allowed a grown adult to scream at a parent and a 14-year-old child in their own waiting room. * Lack of Privacy Protection: They permitted another patient to threaten our privacy inside a medical facility. * Blaming the Victim: When I called the office later to address how poorly this was handled, the staff blamed me for the incident and hung up the phone. My son was smart enough to start recording when she approached us. I am sharing the video below to show the interactio, no faces are shown, but you can see the sheer hostility we faced. A medical office should be a safe, professional, and neutral environment for all patients. Instead, Milano and Mazza Oral Surgery proved to be an incredibly unprofessional environment with a staff that refuses to protect or respect their clients. My money will absolutely never go to a business that aligns with this environment and treats families this way. My original question was obviously answered by them not answering me at all. Nor, the very least, telling that lady to stop. The lady screaming is a patient too.
