The service department is sketchy. They use autozone parts that are double the cost of a walk in…read more I understand Murdock is a business and needs to make a profit but charging double for an Autozone part seems a little off to me. I though dealerships you manufacturer parts but I guess not. They did drop the price after I mentioned it but how many people trust them and are getting screwed. Also, they don't tell you until the end that there is a 2.5% surcharge for using a credit card. I didn't know business charge the surcharge for credit cards. I know businesses get charged by the credit card companies but I have never seen a business pass that to the customer. A little notice ahead of time would have been great. Anyway, I'd watch out for this place, make sure you review line by line what they are charging you for.

Almost a good buying experience…read more My wife and I purchased a brand new car at Murdoch Hyundai last week. Overall, the dealership experience was fine - everybody was friendly and curteous as one would expect them to be and the finance guy was actually decent and didn't try to puch a bunch of extras on us. My problem was with the salesperson, Adah. She was friendly and responsive but was virtually clueless about the options and features of the vehicle we were planning to purchase. She thought the 147 horespower Hyundai Kona had "about 300 horsepower". She said the vehicle we bought (Kona N-Line S) had adaptive cruise control which it didn't on that trim level. She said the navigation works without a phone being paired which it doesn't. She suggested that there is no need to follow the 7500 mile oil change interval specified by Hyundai and instead said "most people just stretch it out to 10,000 miles". WHAT!!! Why would recommend I void my warranty??? She said window Tinting would be done on Tuesday - it was done on Thursday. Basically, I felt everything coming out of her mouth was just a guess that she was comfortable presenting as fact. Overall, I have no problem with the dealership but having a salesperson make so many mistakes misrepresenting / incorrectly representing a vehicle is unacceptable.

I think my Dr. calls them a "Wellness Visit" when I see him but I think that saying works well for making sure my car is in good shape too! I had a young man named Kelten Christensen as my service advisor and thought he did a great job making sure my cars needs were taken care of. I'd gladly have him help me again next time. To top things off after the service part was done they washed my car and did a really good job. Not just a hose it off wash but actually made my car look nice! Thanks again to Kelten and the rest of the crew at Young Honda!!!

This place is always the last place I'd choose to get service done on my vehicles. Unfortunately,…read moreif it falls under Honda warranty it has to be done here. I've had the displeasure of coming here 3 times over the years and never left satisfied. The most recent experience was beyond frustrating. After getting repairs yesterday, my vehicle developed a nasty chemical smell while running. I took it back. They left it running in the bay and said they couldn't smell anything. They told me it was just the smell from the UPS store next door?????? I don't live at the Honda dealership so how would that make any sense. Knowing it never left the bay, I asked how it smelled when they drove it. They said no smell. I asked how they knew if it never left the bay. They hesitated and said they could test drive it if I wanted them to. Obviously . It did leave this time But I already knew they were gonna deny it again. When it came back they said no smell. The air wasn't even on..... They said the most experienced person drove it and said I was just smelling my air fresher. How do they expect me to believe that the scent I've been buying for years just magically started smelling like chemicals the day they "repaired" my vehicle. My 2 year old can even smell it because we get in my car and she says "Daddies car stinky". The smell gives us headaches and we have to drive windows down. I dread the times where my trusted mechanic tells me I have to take it to Honda so they can fix a warranty issue. Avoid it here if you can.

Lights started coming on the panel before I left the lot with it. They told me it was a glitch with the computer in it. It was fine to drive don't worry. Out of the factory the frame is painted 1 color not 2 different color followed by really bad welding that wasn't even secured right so bolts that hold other supports to the frame we're unable to even be torqued all the way down.... Like Ive seen this kinda work back home in Cali in the kind of neighborhoods you'd expect it but did not expect that kinda work here in Utah. I understand fixing a vehicle but come on idk where these workers are coming from or even the people signing off on the work then selling it to people for 15+ thousand bucks. I have a lot of professional work experience in multiple fields from metal fabrication, collision repair, mechanics on just about everything and I'll tell you what management does not understand the meaning of quality or pride in there work..... Unbelievable
