After I purchased my used truck from them I found out within a couple of weeks that the brakes were bad and needed replacing right away. The airbag censor was bad and cleared out for the resale. I bought the extended warranty just to find out the it covers nothing. So I had to do it all myself out of my pocket. The windshield that they was to replace in the contract took me threatening them will a law suit to finally getting it done. The treatment I received was not worth it. I had a car I knew I purchased a warranty with, so I came to the dealership and asked for help on something. They claimed up and down that I did not have one, even claimed to use the Vin to look one up. Still refused service. 2 weeks later went to a different Chevy dealership to ask for help on the same problem, and they immediately found my information and helped me as fast as they could. Didn't take more than a minute to find my warranty information. I felt that Chevy Murdock had little interest in me, did not feel welcome in their lot, and felt like they wanted nothing to do with me. Both individuals I talked to at Murdock were rude to me and I'll remember to go out of my way to never go here again and refer people elsewhere. read more

Buying a truck from Murdock Chevrolet in Logan was the best decision I ever made! They had just bought the old dealership called Axtel Taylor and were still in the transition phase, despite this the service was great. For starters, I was wandering around the lot just looking at the vehicles, it was about five minutes to closing time, and a salesman came out and offered to let me test drive a new Duramax Z71. I couldn't believe it, so close to closing time and he wanted to let me test drive a truck?! He already had the keys, so I agreed and off we went. He didn't even try to talk me into buying it, however he quickly went over the trucks features and let me try them out. After that the salesman just talked to me like a normal person, not a single notion to try to sell me the Chevy. After the test drive, it was past closing time, yet he went inside and got me a manufacturer catalog for free! The worst decision I have EVER made was to buy a car from Murdock. The car is fine, but the service is worse than pathetic. When I went in for my free service I waited two hours for the job to be done and when I left it wasn't. I asked when I made the appointment for a service this time and I was told my wait would be 1 hour or less. I gave them my cell number and asked for a free wash and 4 hours later I went back and asked about my car. The oil was changed, but no record of the cell number and the car was still dirty. Hands down the best automobile purchase experience I've had, thus far. Here are the reasons I gave them a 5-star review and would buy from them again; I'd recommend to a friend or family to follow suit. We walked into a clean showroom. We were shown an organized and well laid out service department. There was a waiting area complete with snacks, drinks, WiFi and a TV. * Usually this is not part of a rating, but it's nice to not have to sit at a salesmen's desk chair haphazardly placed or hardback elementary school chairs when having a conversation or waiting for a vehicle to be serviced. As for the sales staff: They did not hover around the front door waiting for someone to step foot on the lot so they could push that sale. Every person we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and seemed to have our interests at the top of their priority list. They were willing and able to answer all of our questions with confidence and provide the correct information. We bought our last car at Murdock and had great results. All of our extended family purchase their vehicles through them as well. This last purchase was far less than satisfactory. Beware : their 3 month warranty apparently doesn't cover anything! We have spent almost $2,000 in repairs on a vehicle that is only 2 years old. We have only had it for three months. We were promised that their mechanic made sure everything was operable and in good condition. We have taken to two different mechanics and both of them said that both the repairs should have been caught and have been there for more than three months. We have taken our truck in to them several times to have an oil leak fixed every time we take it in they say that it is a different leak so they charge us again. One time they even had it on the bill that it was fixed in that spot but when it went back in because it was still leaking they said that it hadn't been fixed and billed us another 800.00 plus dollars and guess what when we got it home it is still leaking. We have decide not to take it back again because we have spent well over $1500.00 and don't want to be charged again to fix the same oil leak. read more

The purpose of this review is to commend Scott Bell, Service Advisor, and Gustavo E., Service Tech on their superb treatment of both myself and my vehicle. I called Murdock yesterday and had the pleasure of speaking with Scott. I had 10 minutes left of my lunch break and I suddenly remembered that I had promised my husband I would schedule oil changes for both our cars. In less than 5 minutes this task was quickly accomplished and I really appreciated Scott's cheerful voice! This morning both our cars were cared for promptly, giving my dear husband and I a chance to go out to breakfast! Upon our return, we relaxed in the large sunny waiting and enjoyed the complimentary refreshments, which include hot chocolate, coffee, cold bottled water and popcorn! It was also nice to see a family with small children enjoying the child-sized furniture and other comforts. For under fifty dollars, I received more service than I have at other oil change only places for the same price. I have been in the people business since 1997 and it is a pleasure to work with people like Scott, who keep smiling with a real smile throughout the rollercoaster of life.
