For starters, I was wandering around the lot just looking at the vehicles, it was about five minutes to closing time, and a salesman came out and offered to let me test drive a new Duramax Z71. I couldn't believe it, so close to closing time and he wanted to let me test drive a truck?! He already had the keys, so I agreed and off we went. He didn't even try to talk me into buying it, however he quickly went over the trucks features and let me try them out. After that the salesman just talked to me like a normal person, not a single notion to try to sell me the Chevy. After the test drive, it was past closing time, yet he went inside and got me a manufacturer catalog for free! Overall, the dealership experience was fine - everybody was friendly and curteous as one would expect them to be and the finance guy was actually decent and didn't try to puch a bunch of extras on us. My problem was with the salesperson, Adah. She was friendly and responsive but was virtually clueless about the options and features of the vehicle we were planning to purchase. She thought the 147 horespower Hyundai Kona had "about 300 horsepower". She said the vehicle we bought (Kona N-Line S) had adaptive cruise control which it didn't on that trim level. She said the navigation works without a phone being paired which it doesn't. She suggested that there is no need to follow the 7500 mile oil change interval specified by Hyundai and instead said "most people just stretch it out to 10,000 miles". WHAT!!! Why would recommend I void my warranty??? She said window Tinting would be done on Tuesday - it was done on Thursday. Basically, I felt everything coming out of her mouth was just a guess that she was comfortable presenting as fact. Overall, I have no problem with the dealership but having a salesperson make so many mistakes misrepresenting / incorrectly representing a vehicle is unacceptable.
