I wondered why they towed my car to Logan instead of to Brigham City because I was on the way to Salt Lake City. The next day, a mechanic at Automotive Unlimited in Logan called me. He told the vehicle's head gasket was blown and there was no way I could drive anymore. He suggested that I replace the head gasket and tole me it would cost $1900. I called my regular mechanic in California and asked him for advice. My mechanic called Automotive Unlimited in Logan to discuss it with them and was told that everything was in good condition except the head gasket. On that information my regular mechanic advised me to have the work done at Automotive Unlimited. So I asked Automotive Unlimited, if I spend $1900 to replace the head gasket. How many miles can I expect to get out of the car? He said you can drive up to another 60,000 miles, no more over heating, and my car will run smoothly, because they do a lot o work when they replace the head gasket. With that assurance, I agreed to go ahead with the repairs. When the repair was complete, I picked up my car and I paid $2060.64 to Automotive Unlimited owner Heath. As soon s I got into my car and turned the power on I saw the "Check Engine" warning light was on. I asked Heath, why the check engine light was on. He told me that it will go away once I drive a few miles. So I believed him and left the shop. I was driving on Highway 15 South and heading to Arizona where I have to work later tonight. When I passed Brigham City, about 40 miles from Logan, my car overheated again. I was so scared and pulled my car over on the road. Smoke was coming out from everywhere. I tried to contact Automotive Unlimited, but the shop was closed. I could not reach them; I was alone on the highway and was very scared. Then a nice couple stopped to help me. They told me to drive my car to North Ogden where there was a Toyota dealer. So I followed them and drove to North Ogden and parked my car there. The husband went to Pepboys Auto Shop to buy a radiator over-flow cap in the hope it might help. I had to get to Arizona because I had to work on that day. I kept driving and praying to God that I could make it to Arizona. Unfortunately, when I got to Provo my car was no longer running and it kept over heating again and again. There was a nice gentleman who pulled over on the road and helped me out. He spent almost two hours with me on the road and tried to get my car cooled down and running. It was getting dark, he suggested that I parked my car on the side of the road and spend the night at his place. The next day, him and I came back to the place where I parked my car on highway 15. We were able to get my car back to his friend's mechanic shop. His friend agreed to look at my car and try to find out what was wrong. After that he gave me a ride to Salt Lake City airport where I got a rental car and drove back home. This was the worst experience that I have ever had in life; stuck alone, scared, and vulnerable on the side of the freeway miles from the city and forced to rely on strangers for help (and stay at a stranger's house overnight). I thank God for sending good people to help me when it could have easily turned out so differently. I would never recommend anybody bring their car to Automotive Unlimited. They lied to me, ripped me off, and carelessly put me into a potentially very dangerous situation. They made my life miserable on that day. I will never forget what they have done to me. When I got back home I called Automotive Unlimited. They asked me where my car was; they wanted to get it towed to their shop. As if I would ever trust them again after what they did to me. God knows the truth; they will be judged someday

They are so honest, so good with prices, and don't hide money in secret places when working with you on the final costs. Took my truck in for a tick and was told it was a piston and would cost almost 3 grand in repairs…read more (99% of the time a piston slap or piston will get louder when a truck gets hot) The best part is he said he wasn't sure if he could fix it and wanted me to pay even though I couldn't get a for sure answer. It was a bad lifter that costed me less then $200, I honestly think this mechanic thought id be dumb enough to fall for it and was hoping to make lots of money off me. I don't think its A1 but more or less the mechanic they have hired! They should be getting a second opinion or digging deeper if they think people are just going to fall for this and for that kind of cash up. The best part, I knew more about what was going on then he did. He never gave me one answer that was assuring, why would i pay for his work. Dropped off my car about six weeks ago with an oil leak, asked them if they could fix it. $3,000.00 later they said, "all better!" Got the car home and after a couple weeks of driving it around, sure enough, another big oil slick on my garage floor. Take the car back in to have them take another look, and was greeted with all kinds of negativity, obviously trying to make it known that they weren't going to warranty their work, they did take the car and three days later I got a call that said they couldn't find anything wrong. Okay fine, I'll drive the car with purple die to see where the leak is coming from. The ars hole at the front desk who only uses a paragraph when a sentence will do continued pontificating at me for ten minutes trying to explain that he couldn't help me and couldn't remember ever working on my car. I finally talked to another gentleman who explained there was no leak in the car and to drive it around and bring it back at a later date. Yeah, I've never been treated with less respect at any establishment than this ever before. Obviously they have plenty of business and don't need any more. Take a look at the picture of my car, this is how they returned it to me, covered in bird sh1t. Don't worry guys, I promise, I'll never ask you to work on one of my vehicles ever again! Nor will any of my 25 employees or my very large family members, and we'll be sure to let everyone e we know that you have plenty of business and don't need ours.

After reading reviews on various car shops, I had trust that Autobahn would be a great. My car had…read moresome difficulties starting recently. I replaced the battery yesterday but the car still would not start. I took my car in and was called about 2 hours later. They told me that the problem was that a cap was left on the battery when I installed it. I had them also fix the placement my light that was not quite in the right spot and was tricky for me to do on my own (the light bulb was already new). I was told that my total would be $241. I asked why and the lady at the front desk had the mechanic explain to me why. (All listen on my invoice) I was charged $140 for a diagnostic test. The mechanic said they started with the alternator and starter. When they found that those both worked well, they moved onto the battery. They found that it had no power. They found a cap on the battery, removed it, and got the car up and running again. They then charged me $70 for replacing a lightbulb when all I wanted was it placed back in the right spot. No one called me and asked if I would like the up charge of the light bulb being replaced. A few hours later, I felt like going back and reviewing my dash cam footage. It revealed that my car was taken back into the shop at 9:32 and the cap on the battery was found at 9:41. I reviewed all 9 minutes of that footage and my car was not touched. No diagnostic test was ran and the cap was found immediately upon starting the inspection. Within 9 minutes of my car being brought back, they found the problem. When reviewing further, there was a mechanic who got into my car, opened my glovebox, pulled my first aid kit out, and then turned my dash cam off manually. They had no reason to be getting into my glovebox or going through my things. If they needed something out of there like the manual, they should have asked me to pull it out prior. From that point on, this technician turned my dash cam off repeatedly for remainder of the service. I did not get to see my light be replaced or anything else. I got this dash cam for the safety of my car and did not give anyone permission to turn it off. I would not recommend this shop. They are dishonest and are not truthful with their prices and what they charge you for. They had an opportunity to be honest and fair and gain a new, repeat customer and they blew it.
