A dying mall trying to stay relevant and redefine itself to stay in business. I cannot tell you how the mall used to look as this was my first and only visit here. I can tell you that if I knew anything about this mall beforehand, my parking situation would have been different. I parked near the end that hold Target and Old Navy, neither of which stores I visited. I went inside to walk through the mall to see what they had to offer. To sum it up quickly, not much. Like many malls, this one was dwindling in open storefronts. In fact, this mall is attempting to transition with the stores being able to have entrances both into the mall, but to the outside as well. Which can, in my opinion, be a factor of less and less stores inside. If I do not need to go into the mall to enter Five Below, then I don't intend on going into the mall after visiting that store. As for the parking situation, I ended up stopping into several stores on my walk to the end of the mall but didn't buy a single thing until the last store I entered at the other end. Buying pillows and having to carry them through the mall is not fun, also kind of hinders you from stopping anywhere else on your long walk back. I really do hope that this mall bounces back enough. Enough to have the community come back. I mean, there is a university in town and malls used to be convenient places to shop for items. I want to point out the two reviewers that obviously had a plan this year to create accounts to only give this mall a five star review to boost it. Great! So many store that me and counted them I got 35 but my friend got 42 they have all types of stores, including Bath & body Works my favorite. They had a really good sale yesterday and some places are so cheap me and my friends each spent like 50 bucks and we got tons of stuff we even got massages. Definitely recommend. read more

This mall made me sad. Many stores were out of business. Several other stores were closed, apparently due to lack of staffing. I don't plan to return unless I need to visit H&M for some reason. read more

Well the carnies in the front yard are going to screw you. Every ride including the kids rides a are 42 inches which means even mom and dad are required to ride. Funny how that scam worked out in their favor. Sorry 42 inches for every ride except for the bungy ride that they're big enough for, that one is $5. read more

I came into Belk to walk through in order to get to H&M and I saw that the stores were still closed even though H&M says it opens at noon. So my boyfriend and I walk outside to see if there's an outside entrance into the store then security came up to me at 12:18 and VERY rudely kicks me out on the opposite side of where my car is and I was trying to apologize because I was unaware the mall didn't open for another twelve minutes but ignores me and slams the door right in my face and locks it. Not even TWO MINUTES later he came to unlock the door for people to come in. TWO MINUTES? His name is Lopez and he completely ruined my first experience to this mall and I will never be back. Maybe hire some decent and respectful people to watch your establishment. read more

Came here on a Saturday morning and it was completely dead. There is absolutely nothing special about the place. Nothing that stands out from other malls. Worst part is having such a bad experience at JCPenny. read more

I'm used to malls there are in the Northern Virginia area like Tyson's Corner, Fairoaks, and Leesburg Outlet. So, this mall is ridiculously small compared to those places I named. Not much options available when it comes to food. The only stores that I took interest in was H&M, Pacsun, Journeys, and DICK'S. I don't even know if it should be called a mall with such little selections available. However, it is the closest thing you'll get to a mall in Harrisonburg. read more

Valley Mall - Shopping Centers Near Me - Harrisonburg, Virginia

Very very very very small mall, it's kinda depressing. Well from someone who is use to going to the biggest mall in Northern VA, this mall was like one section of that mall. It has all your normal places like Dicks, Victorias Secret, American Eagle, Belk, Books a Million and JC Penny. The "food court" consists of 3 fast food places and a "children's area" consisting of 3 horsey carousel and something else you have to pay for. Nothing special but it still has most of the things you'd want to really shop for. Good thing Target is right next door, you can buy everything else there! read more

Mall was very small, dark and outdated. It did have some descent stores, but the selection in them was not like you find in Winchester or Northern VA. The Belk and H&M are the best things in the mall. It would help if they renovated it. For Harrisonburg, the best area to actually shop in is the shopping center closer to 81 where Barnes & Noble, Walmart and Ross are located. read more

I like this mall almost as much as I like the Winchester, VA mall; It's updated and always clean. The only con is that there's not much food selection. read more

I'm only a fan to this mall because my 9 month old son got to meet Santa here on xmas eve! We got to take great pictures with him and with no long lines at all! We're from nyc so meeting Santa is a big deal for us, since Santa in NYC theres always a big line to wait on. People were super nice...and the place is clean..not much stores..but still coo. read more

Very small mall. We went here with kids to give them something to do and there was no play area for them. All they had were two mini carousels that was a $1 for about 2 minutes and other activities that cost a fortune. The "food court" was terrible. They have all the basic stores but that's it. read more

The mall in Harrisonburg has remained to look exactly the same for the last ten years. Back in the early 90s, Wal-Mart use to actually be attached to it and it use to have a Food Court. I kind of miss the Food Court, now it just has a chinese food and pizza place. Even though the mall isn't spectacular, large, or great to look at, you can find some pretty nice stores in here. Clothing for all ages, as well as electronics, and other nick-nacks. read more

I go here often being that this is the closest mall to me. It's always nice and clean and they have a nice selection of stores. I didn't give 5 stars because it's no short pump or apple blossom but it's better than some other malls that I've been to. read more

Not sure why this mall stays open. Its dirty, dark and the stores are second rate. I tried to buy a gift card from the mall office, no one at the desk for over 5 minutes. I won't go back. read more
