I needed a new key fob for my Honda programmed. Valley Isle was responsive, good at their job, and pleasant. I very much recommend them

If you need key services I highly recommend Valley Isle Lock & Key. Today, called them to have my keys that I bought on Amazon cut and programmed and he was able to do it same day. Came to my house within an hour and took 10min to cut and program 2 keys. First key cost $100 and second key cost $60. Such a kind, efficient and knowledgeable man. BONUS: He gave me great tips on how to troubleshoot my key fob if it got wet. Told me not to press any buttons cause it'll short circuit the key fob. Instead, open car manually and you'll be able to use the key one more time to get home. read more

I higly recommend Valley Isle Lock & Key if you need to program your car key fob. Nissan would've charged ~ $560 for a new fob and programming. I ordered a new fob online for $25 and Valley Isle did the programming for $100. I was able to have an appointment right away and it took around 10min to do the work. Everything went super smooth, communication was clear and the guy (sorry forgot the name already) was very kind & efficient. Thank you for making my day Valley Isle Lock & Key! Mahalo! :) read more

Absolutely amazing and exceeded all expectations! I have a 2014 Toyota and needed a new key programed for it. I went to the Toyota dealer on Maui and bought the key and the Toyota dealer tried for a couple of hours to program the key. They could not program it and could not tell me what was wrong, just told me they would have to charge me $250 to try and diagnose the problem. I decided to try my luck elsewhere and called Valley Isle Lock and Key. Within an hour they had diagnosed that the dust cover on my ignition switch was sticking, and this cover has to be working to program the key. Valley Isle repaired the ignition and programed the new key no problem. I was amazed at their knowledge and diagnostic abilities, and even more amazed that they didn't give up until they solved the problem. Needless to say, they are my go to locksmith from now on! read more

Aloha to all who take the time to read and educate themselves on Yelp reviews. I belive Yelp reviews are worthy of people's "time" to ensure they are dealing with "credible" individuals who can get the job done. My name is Callahan Welsh and I'm a nobody. Maui High School graduate(2001, Varsity Soccer Team, turned US Marine, turned unfunny Stand-Up Comedian.) My credibility is that I have been educated at Maui High School and UH Maui College. So this is my written review. Mr. Over at Valley Isle Lock and Key is a credible locksmith based on the "Actions speak louder than words" quote. Basically what that means (for those that were educated at Baldwin High School)...is that Mr. Over completes the job when given to him. Not only has he supplied Maui for year's with the hard-aches of being locked out of your vehicle(like I have, about 420 times) or nearly needing a new lock pad for your junk at home....Mr. Over continues to supply Maui with the peace of mind needs of a locksmith. As a community provider, Mr. Over is a leader in the community based on character and mission accomplishments. Mahalos and grass-yass and thank you and mahalos for the continued support and hard work for helping us Mauians stay safe and locked away....especially during our quarantine season. 3.04.19 My husband lost our only car key on the beach. So we first called Maui mobile lock Smith. A man named Kevin came to us. Tried to get the door lock code doing something for about half an hour. Then Kevin from MAUI MOBILE LOCK SMITH told me he couldn't get the door lock code, so would need to go to Toyota myself and maybe then could help me then. I was already irritated so then I looked in google found VALLEY ISLE lock and key. Tau came to the rescue and took less then 20 mins to help get us a new key, with the key lock code mind u I didnt need to go to Toyota. and my car started right up. Tau is very fast, reliable and true ALOHA kinda guy. I HONESTLY RECCOMEND TAU FROM VALLEY ISLE LOCK & KEY TO EVERYONE ON MAUI!!! read more

Called them first thing in the morning. They called back promptly at 7:30 when they opened. Very nice and up front with work and pricing. By 10 am I had a brand new key fob, and they programmed on the spot. Literally took about 10 mins from them showing up to me signing my receipt. Professional and very knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend! read more

Talk about customer service! I had just bought a used car about three days prior, when I managed to break the key off in the driver's side door. Needless to say, I was in a seriously foul mood on my way into work. I found Valley Isle through the yellowpages.com - they were the first local locksmith that appeared in my search. They very courteously called me when they were on their way, and it took me about 10 minutes to meet them at my car. By the time I got there, they had already extracted the broken piece of key out of the lock, and proceeded to lube my locks so they worked even better than before. They also made me another car key onsite, and made sure that it worked in all doors/ignition before calling it good. The father/son team were a pleasure to talk to, they were clean, presentable, well-spoken, efficient, and a total pleasure to interact with. And to top it off, the price was less than half of what I expected to pay. I can't say enough about the level of customer service these guys provided - they turned my day around in a matter of 15 minutes, and they did with a smile, and a huge amount of Aloha. There's no one else I'll call for any locksmithing needs in the future. read more

This locksmith is not dependable! Today I called to have my new house rekeyed. The man who answered the phone, Tau, told me he would at my house.between noon and 1 o'clock. When I called him back at 2:30 to find out where he was, he said that he had forgot about my appointment. He did apologize profusely but by then, after waiting 2 1/2 hours for him, I felt pretty annoyed! Call 808 Safe House Locksmith. I found them very professional and they came to my home quickly and on time!!! read more

Terry and his dad did a wonderful job getting my truck door and ignition situation sorted. Did day of call service and couldn't not have been more professional, cut me two extra keys and did also an excellent job of throwing in a new handle I had, if you have a 95-04 Tacoma you know the pain. He went above and beyond to also lube and service my ignition and I will be going back to them in the future. I've had other locksmiths who were absolutely rude and had no real desire to be professional and to do the work. Give these guys a call and they will do excellent work, reasonable prices, and have real aloha while doing it! Thank you again guys! read more

Good service! Cut and programmed my spare internet ordered remote key in less than 30 minutes. Other companies didn't want to even try.

Valley Isle Lock & Key saved our anniversary. We were in Maui to celebrate our anniversary, which is on Halloween. We had planned a day of snorkeling, followed by an evening in Lahaina. The day started beautifully - we drove to the dock, we parked, and we saw all sorts of wonderful things. When we returned to the car, I couldn't find the keys. We searched and searched. No keys. The car was a rental, so we called the rental agency at the airport. Surely they would have a backup set of keys? No luck. The best the rental agency could offer was that we call a tow truck and pay to have the car towed back to the airport, then they would give us a new car. We would be out a huge chunk of money and lose the entire day. I'm stressing out at this point. My darling is upset, I'm upset. We're pacing in the parking lot with nothing but bad options in twilight. Fortunately, my darling is smarter than I am and thought to call Valley Isle Lock & Key via AAA. They arrived magically fast. We had a transponder key from a recent model Ford? No problem! We need to have the same key fob to satisfy the rental agency? They had it - and when we returned the car, we had zero problems. Valley Isle solved everything in under an hour. We had a lovely evening and a great end to our anniversary. We only wish we had called them sooner. Thank you, Valley Isle Lock & Key! read more

I needed to replace a lost key fob (ouch!) and was referred to Valley Isle Lock and Key by the awesome locksmith who helped unlock the car the other day. I needed the fob also with programming and this business was able to help me out. Tau was available to meet me at a halfway point convenient for both of us right after I called him. He had the key and fob parts in stock and the pricing for the entire service was very reasonable in my opinion. I was even blessed enough to get a discount, even with small businesses not doing so well since this COVID pandemic. He kindly replaced the battery in the fob that he gave me in case it had been drained while sitting in his inventory for an extended period of time. He was very thorough in his work. I had my spare key in a very, very short amount of time and have to say Tau is an absolute pleasure to do business with. I'm glad that my money could go to a small business within the community and not some big box store. Thank you for saving the day, Tau, God bless you and your family! read more

Tau and his son Terry are top notch, polite, professional and the best locksmith in town. on an island where punctuality is almost a curse word tau and his son keep their commitments and offer the best service around. I once had to make 10 keys from scratch on 10 different vehicles in the same location father and son got to work and within an hour all 10 keys are made and labeled,. This is no franchise these guys are the real deal small business owners who make doing business with locals a great experience. They've never overcharge, have always been competitive with their pricing and if you're lucky you might even get a smile out of Tau. Terry his son is just as skilled and it's great to see multi-generational Tradesman doing what they do best. Above and beyond knowledge of computers , Pats systems and a network of great recommendations 4 things that they are unable to perform. Mahalo for all your hard work and we hope to see you around the next time I lose my keys. Which in my case is probably in the next week or so. Very quick, friendly and professional. I wasn't charged due to not being able to solve the issue. I appreciate the service provided.

Terry was an absolute lifesaver! One of us (still not quite sure who) lost our rental car key fob the second day in Lahaina. After house of searching and stressing, our rental company gave us Valley Isles number. Terry was out in about an hour and gave us a reasonable price. After a few minutes, he had us ready to go and back to our vacation and this nightmare behind us. Super thankful for Terry at Valley Isle. Hopefully, I won't be needing his services any time soon. read more

Terry came to my rescue. First day in Maui and I had the itch to run out onto the beach without any forethought and ended up losing my keys somewhere on the beach in Lahaina. Called Valley Isle and got taken care of. Great local company and family operated. Terry was personable, professional and provided some great recommendations on local spots to eat! Rate was excellent also as I did obtain several quotes from other locksmiths. Would highly recommend. read more

The best locksmiths in town! Fast, friendly, affordable. What more could you ask for?

Terry from Valley Isle Lock and Key was fast and helpful. I didn't need to stress. Much Thanks and i recommend you guys anyday!!

Talk about customer service! Yesterday (Saturday) my key got stuck in the tailgate lock of my 2006 Honda CRV. I called every locksmith listed in the Maui yellow pages, and not one was available. Some didn't even have voice mail. Some were closed on Saturdays. Finally got to Valley Isle Lock & Key, and spoke with Tau (the father in this father & son team). After describing the problem to him, Tau let me know that he wouldn't be able to fix it himself but that his son Terry could probably fix it the next day. Since Honda no longer has service hours on Saturdays, I decided to wait until Sunday and I am so glad I did. Though it took a while for us to catch up to each other, when son Terry arrived I could tell I was in good hands. He is an exceptional communicator, and when he started looking for the source of the problem, he found and resolved several issues quickly and reasonably. I can't say enough about the level of customer service these guys provided - true professionals with aloha. Both father & son were a pleasure to talk to; I didn't meet Tau, but Terry was clean, presentable, well-spoken, efficient, and a total pleasure to interact with. And to top it off, the price was less than half of what I expected to pay. I am so glad to have found Vally Isle Lock & Key and I would not consider using any other locksmith on Maui! (By the way, my neighbor Ken helped me secure the car last night. The key stuck in the lock was electronic, and still activated the other doors, so theoretically the car could have been hot-wired and stolen. At Ken's suggestion, I temporarily removed the battery from the stuck key, and voila! no more security threat!) read more

Wow! Tau, the owner, waited an hour while we drove from Kula to Lahaina to repossess a stolen vehicle. We then drove into the wild bush for miles up and back down twice to make us a new key. My husband locked our keys in the trunk of our rental car. I called the first locksmith google listed since I'm a visitor on the island. Unfortunately I called an asshat and had to prepay 140.00 for nothing. I called valley isle and he came out right away and was able to unlock the trunk within minutes.
