Everything went well: dropped off my car, talked to a service writer, got a ride to work, then got a text message that my car was done and without any issues, then the ride back to pay and pick up my car. Professional, courteous, and relatively decent costs. I might come back next time for service and maybe even a new car, eventually. Interior looks bright and comfy, and has coffee, water and snacks. Definitely conducive for good business. I know I won't go back to my nearby Honda dealership, especially with their high prices and toxic attitudes. He's attentive and listens to all my concerns...especially when I was dealing with my van couple of days ago. He was empathetic to what I was dealing with via text/call. I have to say I am very impressed with all around service. On the phone they told me it would take about two hours and it did. The ladies at the desk were so friendly and helpful. I've owned Honda vehicles now for 20 years. Valley Honda is where I buy them and service them. I'm an old guy - I've had tons of experience from both dealerships and independent mechanics. I really like Valley Honda for both the purchase experience and most importantly the service experience. Their service system is efficient. At least 5+ service technicians are ready to great you as you pull in. They quickly work with you for what needs to be done, and you are then welcomed to relax in their 5 star waiting room. TV's, comfortable chairs, cold water, coffee and very clean restroom. They complete the job on my cars quickly and I'm on my way. Great job Valley Honda! Keep it up. read more

First visit to this dealership/service department for routine maintenance. Called to ask about service specials and estimated time for the service. The agent was polite and advised me they were pretty busy but slowing down, also that the intake person would be able to discuss specials, so I got moving. IT WAS BUSY! Good sign in my eyes, like busy restaurants. Kristina and Casey noticed I needed some assistance and were absolutely amazing! Very clean everywhere from the exterior, restrooms, and waiting area. I'm not a fan of dealership services but after I bought an Accord years ago and had it serviced there, I kept going back for all maintenance updates. Honestly, I bought more Hondas (Pilot, 2 CRVs) because of the service department. My family has had Buicks, Chevys, Fords, Dodge, and even Toyotas. Out of all the dealership services, Valley Honda was way way way better. FYI, I have not bought all my Hondas there, but this is the service department I bring them to. 10 STARS I've been coming to this location for few years and overall, I have to say that they are very attentive. When they list and explain the problem with my van, they are always clear. Marco from Service Department always goes above and beyond...the best experience. From pulling into the garage to getting my rodder fix, to rental car, he made it a stress-free transaction. Which I believe, is how it should be. Marco is always friendly, professional and efficient. I cannot forget Carlos who helped walked me through rental car yesterday. He was very knowledgeable and patience to my questions. Then the other Marco from Service Porter did a fantastic job washing and cleaning my van. I mean, my van looked brand new...he was very thorough. I have never experienced this kind of service. My one-hour commute to this location is totally worth it. Great hire manager. Even though this facility is a first come first serve basis they can get very busy here sometimes, but when I come in when they first open or even at 9am I am usually out the door within 1-2 hours. I moved from Michigan to Illinois and the customer service at Valley Honda was superb! I called ahead to see if they had any front license plate holder in stock. Michigan cars only have back license plates. I needed front ones and drilled in for me. They did and told me the price for the part was $35. I thought that was a reasonable price for a piece of plastic that you legally have to have in the front of your car in Illinois. I went through the express service lane around 1:15pm and left by 1:30pm! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I only had to pay for the parts which was about $35. The labor was FREE and since I was new to the area and a new customer, the parts salesman gave me a 10% discount. On a side note, my husband received the COMPLETE opposite customer service at the Chevy dealership in Naperville. They were trying to charge him $79 just for labor and time to drill two holes in his car. He already had the front license holder and he waited a HOUR for them to install it. I've serviced my car at Valley several times. Each time the staff is friendly, very professional and always keep me informed as I wait for the repair. I especially like their customer lounge as it is welcoming, comfortable and has the creative comforts, coffee, tea. Recently, I brought it in to have my battery checked as I had to keep getting jumped during the bitter cold. While having that done, I asked if they could check the vents on the driver side because the heat didn't seem to work but was fine on the passenger's side. I was told it would be a lengthy repair and they would rather schedule that to be done so I didn't have to wait as they would arrange a rental for me. But the bad news was it was flushing heat coil to the tune of apprx. $250. I was upset as my car was out of warranty 3 months, even though I only had 24K miles!! I recently moved here from Florida so never had the occasion to use heat. I appealed to the Customer Service Director and they agreed that it should be done without charge. The Service Manager Kevin, was extremely nice and handled me personally when I came. It's always a pleasure to do business with this dealer and when the time arrives, I will purchase there as well. read more

Nice enough service but prices are super expensive.. Oil change does not include a tire rotation, the tack on an extra $20 for that!! They inflate their prices to be 20-30% more than other stores so they can apply their "online coupon" which still makes their service prices more expensive then any other dealership for the simplest of service items. read more

I have been to a few Honda service departments with my car. This service department is friendly, professional, and amazingly efficient! I had my battery and alternator checked on my 4year old Honda. I was there a little over a hour. I did end up getting a replacement battery installed. Reasonably priced for labor and parts. Waiting area was pretty accommodating. Starbucks and Tazo tea complimentary. There were several TVs for news, sports, and whatever daytime TV was on. Lots of seating tables and iMacs. Did I mention they have a kids room too? I was deathly afraid of how long this minor inconvenience was going to take due to my 1 year old that I had to bring with me. No big deal! A childproof room with a tv dedicated to children's programming lots of toys and books! Everything was really clean too! Unheard of in play rooms. Thanks Valley Honda service! From start to finish I felt each step along the way they went above and beyond to back amd support their customers. This is just Service and care, I have not even added the waiting area. I honestly do not mines getting my car serviced as the waiting area is beyond nice with a great deal of options. When I do need to go I plan it so that I can work from there with my laptop of thier provided computers. I felt like such a guest while waiting for my vehicle to be looked at. I came here to get my 2011 Honda Fit serviced (needed an oil change). It definitely needed it, as I just moved to Naperville from Virginia, so I drove my car through that trip 3 times - once to get here, then a round trip from Naperville to Richmond, Va and back. I was very surprised at the speed and quality of service. I worked in a small garage for about 5 years doing basic automotive maintenance and state safety inspections, so I know when a mechanic or garage is trying to screw a customer out of money. The person helping me, Luke was very honest, and did not push for extraneous work to be done. All I needed was an oil change, and it got done (quicker than anticipated, I was quoted an hour, took about 45 mins!) Please note that was on a Saturday, and they were pretty slammed with customers. The oil change came out to be around 33 dollars, which is about 5 dollars cheaper than at the dealership I used to go to for maintenance. Included was a free overall inspection - in which they topped off my washer fluid because I was low, and also a free car wash. I was also notified that my tires needed to be replaced - I knew beforehand that they were going pretty bald. They didn't push for the replacement to be done right then and there and told me to try to get it done before the weather gets too bad in the upcoming winter months. I got a quote for how much replacing all four of my tires would cost, and the options available, and after some research and calls to some people I know, the price they gave was a little more expensive, but very comparable. Not to mention to pursue the other option I have would include having to ship tires in and take them to be put on in a shop anyways. Also the option Valley Honda gave me included a 1 year road hazard replacement warranty, which the other option did not included unless I wanted to pay an extra 50 dollars. Overall, I would highly recommend them. I've been to a number of shops and dealerships for parts and maintenance work, and I have to say that Valley Honda surprised me. I recently visited this dealership for a express oil change, but to my surprise the service man came out side and informed me they didn't do oil changes on Acura's, I asked if he could repeat his statement , " do you know this is a Honda dealership, we don't do oil changes on Acura , because we don't carry any of the parts if we have to replace them" I was shock , reason being I always take my car to Honda or Acura for a oil change, which ever is closer to me at the time I need the service, and beside Honda is Acura, I am the third generation of buying Honda products , I know Honda products in and out, not to mention I am a share holder of Honda, so it pissed me off that he was turning away revenue. I love this place so much, I'm going to be sure to buy a Honda for my next new car, too. They are friendly, polite and the facility is just top notch. I drive my car in (with no appointment) for routine maintenance and I can choose to sit in comfy chairs and watch TV or play on any of their many computers while I wait. There's even a kid's play area (enclosed with windows). I try to schedule my coaching appointments here at the same time I need an oil change because the coffee is free and it's just such a comfortable facility. I've bought 2 cars at this dealer and always take my car here for repairs and maintenance because they are courteous, professional, and they fix it right the first time. Tonight I had the super-angries at the Valley Honda fix-it shop. They kept me waiting over an hour past when they said they'd have everything fixed with no communication as to why I was kept waiting. I asked to speak with a manager. I explained where I was done wrong: they took extra time -No problem; they were obviously very busy. They did not communicate with me -Huge problem. Super-angry livid Heather. They listened to me, apologized to me, calmed me, and gave me compensation for the upset. This is the mark of a good business; if they screw up they make it "right." I had hit a pretty big pothole and was concerned about the wheel being bent and alignment going out of spec. I had the wheel/tire checked by the tire store I bought from but went to Valley Honda for the alignment check. I requested to just have it checked, not do any re-alignment without first notifying me. They notified the car was ready and nothing was out of place. When I hopped in, the steering wheel was a full 45 degrees to the left when, in fact, the wheels were going straight. Of course, I went back in and demanded an explanation and to fix it. The service manager refused to admit the technician started to DO the actual alignment and would not correct the steering angle without charging the fee. Ridiculous work and asinine service. Drove the vehicle having to repeatedly remind myself I'm not really going to crash into the vehicle left of me until I took it to a Honda performance specialist shop instead. read more

The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because my entire experience here was great until we sat down to talk numbers. The moment I walked in the place was packed 30 minutes before closing. Friendly faces and all. I was in there with my entire family and we were helped by Camille. She was a sweetheart, humurous, and confident. We had finally decided on the car and would have walked out of there with the car but she had to bring her manager in to consult the final price. From the moment the manager jab/job sat down we were all turned off by his presence. We were here to buy a car, not discuss if we're the same religion or not and be buddies. I didn't appreciate his fakeness and pretend to use words from our language to sweet talk us. His demeanor was unappreciated and he ruined the sale for Camille, because we walked out with a car on memorial day from another Honda dealership. He refused to give us the price we asked treating us like we're not worthy. We got an even better deal at another location and it was even a couple hundred dollars less than what we ask jab to give. This is second try for valley Honda service and it will be my last. The first time I came here for an oil change, I found my car in the parking lot with the doors open and the keys sitting on the front seat. No one told me my car was ready. Just found it in my own and drove a away. I got their survey afterward and gave them a negative review. I then received a phone call from someone at their service dept asking why I rated them that way and telling me why I was wrong. The guy was so rude I had to terminate the phone call. I spoke with the manager who apologized and offered me a free oil change. So I came in today for the free oil change. There was a line going out of the parking lot and down the side street.... Just to check in. So now there are people trying to get out of the parking lot but can't because of the service line. There were literally dozens of people standing around and no one took the initiative to come out to manage the situation in the parking lot. I literally had people coming up to my car telling me that I needed to move. I finally pulled out of line and lost my space. I went inside and asked for the manager. The 2 receptions just looked at me. I told them what just happened. They just stared and called no one. I finally grabbed a salesman and asked if he had the ability to get the manager. The manger then came outside to direct me back into line. By that point, most of the cars behind me just gave up and left. I always believe in second chances, this was their second chance. Fancy cyber cafe waiting areas do not make up for a service department where the basic fundamentals are broken. Only saving grace is their sales staff. If my salesman goes to work for another dealer I will gladly follow him. But I'm done with Valley Honda and their service department. read more

I brought our Honda in for an oil change and because the speakers on one side of the car stopped working at the same time. I figured it was just a wiring problem. After three long and boring hours in their waiting area (which is nice but smelled nauseatingly of cleaning products), I was told that both speakers had "malfunctioned" and needed to be replaced. The cost of two speakers and labor was going to be well over $300. We brought our car to Best Buy yesterday to see what it would cost to get it fixed there. They took a look at it and concluded that it was only corroded fuses and there was nothing actually wrong with the speakers or the stereo unit. It cost us only $75 and everything works just fine now. It could have even been less had we gone to a regular mechanic. The staff there is incredibly nice, but I knew the minute I got my estimate that it was total BS. read more

Previously shared my highest kudos for Fred and the sales group. Had my first experience with the service team today. Had a tire blowout near Springfield late last night ended up with a bent rim and damage underneath (on my wife's new Pilot that she will never let me drive again...). The Valley service team helped me try and search for what I needed in the Springfield area (what other dealer would do that?) Limped home from Springfield (no dealerships in the area stocked the tire or were even going to be able to have time to look at it the next day). The Valley service team got me in right away and took some time to talk about exactly what happened and what the problems might be (thank you John Benac) and Luis took quite a bit of time to test drive on the road with me to diagnose the exact problem. I recently had a check engine light come on (luckily 5 miles from VH but NOT lucky at 8:45pm on a Monday. I couldn't drive the car home and had my mother with me who I had to take home to Batavia so I needed a loaner. As a first time customer I didn't expect much since they didn't have one available when I called. But I got there right before close and was helped out by service advisor BRIAN ROMAN (remember the name). I explained my situation, which included my sister about to have a baby, needing to take my mother to the doctor the next day AND needing to get to work. Next thing you know, Brian made it happen and honestly saved my ass. Warranty work was done the next day which didn't cost a dime, but they treated me like I just bought a new car. Brian Roman was great, very quick and made me a customer for life. I'll be back for regular maintenance next month! Ask for him when you go in. The whole department was spectacular! read more
