Excellent Service! They really helped out a single mom. I brought my car over for a dead battery Gary went above & beyond. I had to leave my car so my child could be picked up from daycare before they closed. He then had my car delivered with the new battery installed so I didn't have to have my child walk with me the nearly 20 minutes in freezing temperatures to get the car back from the store. I've been here 3 times and received great service each time. This last time I thought I would spend my whole day on a battery replacement but that was not to be. I went in, they check the battery to ensure that was the problem, sold me a new one at a comparable price, installed it and cleaned up the battery acid mess. I came to buy replacement wiper blades for my 16 y.o. car. Gary saw me paging through the parts book and approached me with an offer to help. He looked up my car on the computer and found the correct blades for me. Then he told me about an offer that ended up lowering my total bill in addition to getting me a jug of washer fluid! AND THEN, he came outside with me, and in an instant, he had popped the old blades off and the new blades in! It's nice to know I can go to AutoZone for quality service & parts at a fair price. The guy at the register was not helpful. I checked on line their location had brake pads I wanted. When I showed up to ask without checking shelf he told me he did not have it. His computer showed there was one he insisted he had none without explanation. I questioned the inconsistency he said he did not know. I asked to order one to pickup he just cut me off and ignore me. Never happened to me in this Autozone location or any other locations. Bye Autozone, I would buy it from Amazon. read more

My car hadn't been used in several months and my friend and I were trying to get it fixed up so I could sell it. After hours of trying to jump start the car ourselves, we called this Autozone a few times because we were clueless about what to do next. We talked to a few different guys, but Ricky in particular went above and beyond to help us. He stayed on the line while we tried different strategies and was very patient with us. After going into the store a few times for different items, he offered to come out to where my car was after his shift had ended since we were not far away and changed the car battery free of charge. He also gave us tips on how to get the best offer for the car and answered all our questions. He went above and beyond to help us when he didn't have to. Give this man a promotion! read more

They sold me a bad battery and then refused to replace it. The second time I went in after going through everything that I had done, I was told that they didn't have the battery in stock and I had to go to a different store. I could see on the computer screen that they had it in stock. The auto zone at rt 59 and Ogden was really nice and helpful. My mechanic says this place has a bad reputation for batteries. read more

5-stars for Marco. My car was overheating and I needed pure coolant, not 50/50 premix. I sound like I know what I'm talking about, but the mechanic at Kerr's Garage gave me that information. Marco at AutoZone helped me find the right product and he signed me up for the rewards card, gave me the little keychain Doohickey, then he offered to carry the coolant out to my car! Being stubborn, I said no. I went outside, popped the hood, and started filling the radiator with coolant. Meanwhile, Marco took the garbage out and saw me. He rushed over to help. He used his phone to give me light and then he educated me that there was an extra reservoir that I should've been filling - which is probably why the car was overheating in the first place! Whenever I have car issues, my mom urges me to take my car to AutoZone for help. Apparently, she frequently hassles the workers here to fix minor car issues and time and again, they come through for her. Well, today I experienced that first hand. I finally took her up on her suggestion, and a worker named Ricky came outside to check my car, pointed out the problem, and fixed it without even trying to sell me any parts. I also described another more complicated issue, and he outlined the steps to fix that as well. It truly was above and beyond customer service. read more

Friendly place for a non-mechanical guy....stopped in on a Sunday around 11 am and there was no one in the store...headed to the counter to let them know what I was looking for and they printed a few slips and circled the items I needed to get.... Only complaint is why didn't the just walk with me to get them since there was no one else in the store. However, you cant beat the price....the dealership wanted $50 to install a cabin air filter that was $10.99 in the store (and it took literally 2 seconds to install)...... read more

My battery died at 8pm on the weekend. While waiting for a jump, I called the store and they right away checked if they had the battery for my car in stock- they did! In the past, I've had a hard time with other places having the right parts for my car (old hybrid) so it was much appreciated that they checked before I drove over. At the store, both workers were very friendly and helpful. Big thanks to Amer for taking my old battery out and putting the new one in! Much appreciated. I am a frequent AZ customer. Yesterday, my wife's car battery died while she was at work. While on my way to swap the battery, I realized I forgot my socket set. I stopped in to this location, thinking I could rent the tools I needed. I was met by Gary, the store manager. I told Gary I needed to rent some tools to change out a battery but the vehicle was not at this location. Gary stated they typically do not rent out simple tools. Regardless, Gary handed me the tools I needed without charge. Of course he asked me to leave my license but it's not the point. I did not buy anything from this store. I've never been to this location. Gary went above and beyond helping out a complete stranger and asked for nothing in return. That's a leader! That's a good man. He could have led me to the socket isle and told me to buy what I needed. Hi, I just went to AutoZone in a panic because I just moved here from NV and my car was barely turning over when starting it. I was greeted right away by Julian, who was extremely helpful and professional. He did a diagnostic test and confirmed it was a battery issue. He helped me decide on the best battery for me and installed it in minutes. He took time to explain things to me and educated me on some things that would help me here now that my car would be in a different climate. I felt he was someone who went above and beyond to represent the integrity of AutoZone's customer service. It's hard to find people out there today who are not only knowledgeable, but who truly care about the customer. Wow. Just, wow. I have to say, for as long as I live in Chicagoland, this is the only auto parts store I will go to. Being a service plumber (Aquaduct plumbing services, check us out!) I can say that the best way to build a client base is with honesty and kindness, which is what I constantly receive from this store. One employee in particular, Angel, made my experience second to none. What should have been an in and out shop ended up making me a customer for life. Ask for Angel, in my opinion. Auto Zone was VERY unhelpful. It seemed as if their employees were completely clueless about cars and car mechanic knowledge. My right headlight was out and I came in asking to get it fixed. I researched that Auto Zone would be potentially cheaper than the Nissan dealership. When I arrived, the man at the front desk said he had no experience working on a car model newer than 2011. (My car is a 2014 model) The "Check Engine Soon" light was also on, and he looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. He proceeded to tell me that he had no idea what that meant or what was wrong. Him and another employee were googling how to fix a broken headlight AND what "check engine soon" light meant. Alongside googling my car model because they've never seen it. It's a 2014 Nissan Versa. You're an employee at a car mechanic business...googling information is incredibly unprofessional. Especially doing so directly in front of the customer. Imagine a doctor not knowing your symptoms and then proceeding with, "let me google what medicine might be good for that!" I went to Good Year instead and they not only knew exactly how to fix it, but did it effectively and efficiently. Avoid auto zone. read more

I come here anytime my care needs something minor done. One of my headlights was burned out and I stopped in today. I was in and out in 10 minutes! The guys working there are always polite and wiling to help me install things in my car. I also appreciate that they'll explain what they're doing so that I can potentially do some of that stuff myself in the future. Trust me. This place is way better than a dealership that's going to charge you out the wazoo for labor. They know their stuff here! read more

My check engine light came on last night late as I was driving one hr to the bfs! I was panicky because I was on tollway going fast! I came first thing in the am to this auto zone to have them plug up my engine and test it, I'm not sure the gentleman's name who helped me, but he was beyond helpful! He explained everything so clearly and extensively so u knew exactly what could be wrong with my car. I really liked the fact he didn't try to push a bunch of products on me. Stopped by this week for a few parts for a project. After the employee helped me I asked for one more thing - another employee said where I could hear, "Let's see how long this guy takes you." It was clearly a jab at me wanting help with more than one thing, not at the employee. Finally, I asked for a filter, employee came back with the wrong filter - I told him it was the wrong filter - and he told me that it is what the computer said would work. He didn't check the computer again or anything. Got home - incorrect filter way too big and wrong ports. Second bad experience there, I'll be avoiding this autozone. read more

I am not much of a car guy. I went in to have my computer checked and to get a headlight. They employee went and grabbed the headlight for me and ran my computer. I decided to put the headlight in at the parking lot. He saw me and came over to see if I needed any help. I have never been to an autozone before and I was very surprised with how good the experience was. If I need something else that they supply, I will most likely wait until I am in the area to purchase it from them. read more

BEWARE! This company sold me a defective starter. It was wired backwards and caused almost $2,000 in damages. This was back in April. They wont return my calls or emails. They wont take responsibility of selling me a defective part. WORST company I have ever dealt with. Im going to have to sue them in small claims court to get my money. read more

Just when you think there is no such thing as good customer service anymore, Auto Zone shows you otherwise. I drove there today and Gary, the manager assisted me. I wanted my battery checked because even though it was less than a year old, I had to keep getting it jumped every so often, and no one could figure out why.Gary took a look under the hood, and the worn latch on the hood of my old Honda is usually difficult to impossible for people to open, but he got it opened in a sec. He then checked the battery and it was good; and he told me the battery terminal was loose, and replaced it even though it required extra effort...but the main thing is that he solved a problem that caused me headaches and frustration for months for under $5, and I know darn well it would have cost much more if I took it to a repair shop.The frosting on the cake was that Gary was so very pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable, and didn't hesitate to go the extra mile in helping this damsel in distress :) Thanks Gary! Your good-hearted kindness made my day, and I would highly recommend you and Auto Zone to anyone. A lot of other businesses could learn from this place. read more
