I have very severe asthma. I went there on the recommendation of my pulmonologist at Arizona…read morePulmonary Specialists. I originally started out going to an asthma doctor in Illinois who was an allergy and immunology specialist for one of premier medical schools in Chicago. When I moved to Phoenix in 1996, I used an allergist my doctor in Illinois recommended. After 4 years, my allergist moved to Las Vegas. He suggested Arizona Pulmonary. I've been with them since 1999. I have been taking Fasenra since 7/2020, and my asthma dramatically improved. I even lost 180 lbs from not having to be on prednisone except if I got sick. Everything was great, I looked and felt terrific, until the Fasenra stopped working about 18 months ago. It wasn't sudden, but noticeable. My breathing got worse. I was wheezing and coughing more, which I blamed on a month-long stay in the hospital in 1/2023 due to double pneumonia. Nope. It continued to go downhill then finally dropped off a cliff. I was put back on high dose steroids, which triggered me eating everything in sight and at night, causing me to gain 55 lbs. I was taken off the Fasenra completely in February of 2025. I was put on a trial of Dupixant in late March, which worked great for my breathing almost immediately, but gave me every side effect in the book, also almost immediately, too. It was so damn frustrating. My doctor there, Dr. Mason, felt Dr. Manning might be helpful because he didn't want me to fail the last medication available, Tespire. Perhaps there was a systemic allergic response he could avert? I went there not expecting a lot. Wow-was I wrong!! The people in the office were friendly and welcoming. The doctor, Dr Manning, was amazing. I could even imagine myself going to him for my asthma if anything happened to Dr. Mason to make him leave the valley (as my last doctor there had done a few years ago. In all, I'm very pleased with the care I received from Dr Manning. I'm hoping he can get to the bottom of the allergic reaction I had to the medication and, perhaps, the downward turn my asthma has taken in the last 18 months.

The doctor and injection staff at Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Associates (the Scottsdale location…read moreoff Shea) have been great, and the treatment process itself has been convenient and well organized. Unfortunately, the billing department has been a completely different experience. "Incompetent" is the best word I can use to describe what I have experienced. I paid in full, upfront, for my entire allergy shot treatment plan as an out-of-pocket patient. I even received a discount for paying in full. Although at this point, I'm not sure it was worth the hassle. I have a receipt confirming payment in full, and the office has verified multiple times that my balance was satisfied. Despite this, I have continued receiving invoices for charges I do not owe - NINE so far and counting. I was also told several times that someone would call me back to confirm the issue was resolved, but no one ever has. They have had over a month since the first call and weeks since the second and third. At this point, I wish I could bill them for the amount of time I've spent dealing with their mistakes. I have contacted the billing department THREE separate times and was assured every time that the incorrect charges would be removed. Nothing was corrected, and I received yet another bill today. When I attempted to call for a fourth time, their automated system disconnected me. It is incredibly frustrating to repeatedly deal with billing errors after paying a substantial amount of money upfront and being told multiple times that the issue had been resolved. Great medical care is important, but competent billing and basic follow-through matter too. This ultimately comes down to honesty, integrity, accountability, and competence. Five stars for the doctor and the injection schedule. One star for billing. Management seriously needs to address this department.

I am a small business owner with less than stellar health insurance and a VERY high-deductible. I found that Valley Allergy is in my network. I sent them my insurance information and made an appointment. I wanted two allergy tests - one for food and one for environment. I was told I needed to split them into two different appointments. I got my test results and left happy, until....I received my bill: Two allergy tests: $1760 ($880 each) Office visit #1: $492 Office visit #2: $268 Total Cost: $2520. My insurance picked up a portion of the cost, but I was left with a total out-of-pocket cost of $933. When I called the office in shock, I wanted to know why they did not warn me when my insurance did not cover such high (and in my opinion), ridiculous costs? I spoke with two different individuals who offered me no assistance. They stated they do not run insurance in advance unless asked. They weren't rude but they weren't helpful either. So, I write this as a warning to small business owners or anyone with a high deductible. Ask the office staff what they charge before you go in for an appointment. DO NOT make the same mistake I made.

They won't do the skin pricks for food allergy testing if you were an adult at this facility because they say all food allergies are developed when you're a child. Lastly, you'll leave with a pamphlet on why testing for food allergies isn't a good idea if you are having gastrointestinal issues because of x, y, and z. Typical male doctor not listening to a female patient and trying to "educate" her. He also managed to tell me my sinus infections were migraines, not sinus infections because I have sinus pain when I get them. Find a different facility. Dr Davis is useless.

Said my bloodwork looked good and refused to do allergy testing on me despite me essentially demanding it after repeatedly telling him about symptoms I have only when I eat certain foods. He said there is a difference between intolerance and allergies and if I was allergic to those foods I would have gone to the hospital. I told him I spoke with insurance in advance to do both food and histamine allergy testing for this appointment and had not taken any allergy pills for two weeks prior. He still refused. What was the point of our interaction?? Or to even be referred to this place if they don't do what they are established to do which is allergy testing?? I was perplexed and after he handed me a paper with random suggestions on it not even accurate to my situation, as he didn't listen to me the entire time. (Which I said to his face and told him he wasted my time and I left work for this appointment) I proceeded to the front desk where I paid $130 office visit fee for nothing. What a cash grab scam this doctor is. Go anywhere else, where the doctors actually care about your well being.

I brought my own medical records and symptom history--but the back-office staff refused to review any of it. The allergist interrupted me repeatedly, minimized everything I tried to share, and essentially accused me of exaggerating or lying about my symptoms--even while I was visibly unwell in the exam room. Sadly, a family member of mine had a similarly disturbing experience at this same office. It seems they are not equipped--or willing--to handle patients with complex medical histories. At one point during my visit, after the allergist left and the nurse rushed out, I overheard him ask her within about a minute, "...they're still here?" I felt humiliated and walked out. The allergist questioned why I even came and made it clear he wouldn't help me. It was a traumatic and degrading experience. Their refusal to listen, document, or take basic steps to assess my condition is not just unprofessional--it's dangerous. Afterward, I looked at their Yelp and Google reviews and saw others report nearly identical experiences: being rushed, dismissed, and treated with disrespect by both doctors and staff. This does not feel like a legitimate allergy or pulmonary clinic. My family and I will never return. Please advocate for yourself and seek care elsewhere. Your health is too important to be treated like this.
