If you have any kind of chronic problem that you haven't been able to figure out, he's the guy that can get to the bottom of it. I can say that with confidence because he's able to put together seemingly disparate pieces of information and ask questions that other doctors would never consider. He's not necessarily going to be able to come up with an answer fast, but he's not going to give up and will also help you figure out new questions to ask yourself about your health. Dr. Glick is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), certified in Functional Medicine that has a membership only practice. Here's what that means: Osteopathic doctors practice all areas of medicine but have special training in your body's musculoskeletal system. DO's focus on prevention and keep more up to date on advances in medical technology. Functional Medicine focuses on adding what the body is missing or lacking (nutrients, vitamins, hormones etc.) and removing what the body doesn't need via detoxification. In a way, it's another level of commitment to looking at the complexity of an individual and their health. Lastly, a Member's Only practice is where you pay to be a part of a practice up front or on a monthly basis. You might not be used to that idea, but first and foremost, Dr. Glick is committing to you as a patient. Secondly, you're not going to get a protocol with suggestions based on "what insurance will pay for." You're going to get a legitimate treatment plan that actually has a good chance of working. His office will bill insurance, but a lot of doctors will never tell you what the best plan of action is, they'll only offer what insurance will pay for, which is almost never the best first choice treatment. Whenever you're dealing with an illness that's a diagnosis of exclusion, you're going to need some patience. That's the only reason I've mentioned that getting well may take some time. Dr. Glick will spend enough time with you so that he really knows who you are, not just knows a few random facts about your life. Because he understands how you look at your life and how you think, he makes recommendations in a way that will make sense and be relevant to you. This is his true genius...understanding how to help you overcome the ways in which you may be sabotaging yourself from a health perspective, without realizing it (but he won't be in your face about it).

Yesterday I completed a comprehensive consult with Dr. Schlosser and soon will get labs, scans, and related diagnostics. I have complete trust in his care. During this consult he put his entire skill set to work, based upon my multiple chronic conditions (genetic hypertension, Barrett's esophagus, chronic GI distress, and simply, other aging-related concerns). Having the ability to see an Internal Medicine Physician is the most holistic, and again comprehensive, solution to my many frustrating, recurring health issues. Internal Medicine Physicians are, by education and specialized long-term training, capable of managing and SOLVING complex medical and recurring issues especially in people my age (I'm a late-stage Boomer). His practice, although it's a fee-basis approach, is in-network with most all major insurers (important for my diagnostics, labs, and so forth). He's just that good. When I remember to make my annual checkup with enough notice, I meet with Dr. Katz. Otherwise, I have met with several of his nurse practitioners. I have been pleased with my interactions with Dr. Katz and the nurse practitioners, who I feel all listen to me, provide updates in a thoughtful manner, and follow-up afterwards with any referrals or prescriptions. There is an automated system that can connect people with the front desk, voicemail system, or provide other system as need be. When you're speaking with the front desk, they are quite helpful whether they answer questions or help schedule or reschedule an appointment. Any paperwork is submitted and charges are made in advance or following the appointment so that you do not need to worry about either while you're checking in for your appointment. Any bloodwork is done in the office instead of going to a separate location (as they used to do a few years back). Needless to say, it's very convenient to work with the Paradise Valley Family Medicine office. As for Dr. Katz and the nurse practitioners, they have gone out of their way to make calls, do research, and follow-up with me between appointments to ensure that I am taken care of whether it is a sleep study, having a prescription be honored, or even having a prescription successfully make it to the nearby pharmacy. They use a portal, which is easy for sharing test results, visit summaries, or sending messages back and forth. Get offer primary care, well child exams, well woman examinations, annual physicals, sports and camp physicals, adult and pediatric immunizations, preventative health care, and pre-operative clearance. I have enjoyed working with Brooke and Allison in the past. They are typically open Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM and on Friday from 8 AM to 12 noon. Holiday hours differ a bit. All in all, I'm glad to go to the Paradise Valley Family Medicine and recommend them to anyone needing a primary care physician.
