Ugh... front office is SO rude! The front office receptionist was so nasty to an elderly patient that was ahead of me. The receptionist was berating him and he could not hear- I stepped in to try and help him. It was awful! Anthony the PT is incredible!! He is SO kind, patient & professional! I would never return to this office if it weren't for him! The medical profession has gotten SO unprofessional! What a joke. Front office staff seriously needs to be re-evaluated I don't think they know how to do their job. I scheduled the appointment 3 weeks ago by calling their number (480)273-8448 fully intending to see the doctor for my ear pain, which is who I made the appointment to see. On the date of my arrival at the scheduled appointment time 9am I arrived only to be told then that my appointment had been cancelled and they had called me yesterday at 3pm to cancel because their audiologist wasn't available to do a hearing test until mid September. My issue is, if they knew way ahead of time that their audiologist was full, then why did their staff schedule me for August? And why did they wait until the day before the appointment to notify me? read more

This guy is a clown- and part of the issue with healthcare today. Tim's whole demeanor implied that he didn't have time to fully understand my condition. I was previously diagnosed with deviated septum amongst other things prior to my relocation to the Valley area. When Tim entered the room- in a rush, he barely introduced himself as I was preparing to show him ALL of my medical files through MYchart. Well Tim didn't seem interested in that stating, "we can schedule another appt so that I can look through your record" - what are your symptoms?" he asks. Umm why don't you want to read 4 paragraphs that will tell you exactly what my issue is? Apparently, Tim didn't like this answer. And got up and went to his office. When he came back, he explained that we started off on the wrong foot and he's now "scared" of me. Scared? For telling you HOW to do your job effectively? Tim was nice about the whole ordeal letting me know that maybe I should find someone else, apologizing for wasting my time. He said the visit will be free and offered me a Starbucks card for the trouble. I took the free visit, but denied the card- I did offer a word of advice to Tim- I suggested that he listened more than he spoke. I also asked for recommendations to other ENT's in the area just so I could avoid them while searching for another ENT. I believe Tim missed his calling as a clown. If you are looking for a Dr that listens to you instead of just nodding his head as you speak, then look elsewhere. read more

My visit to Dr. Kelsch was not pleasant. He bombarded himself into the room and never even introduced himself. He was so rude and unprofessional, especially when I wasn't feeling well. He immediately suggested several thousands of dollars in out of pocket tests. I asked for a simple prescription for a decongestant to see if that would work before I made appointments for the extra testing. He threw up his hands before reluctantly calling in something. I asked my primary care doctor his opinion of Dr. Kelsch and he said "well this paperwork and his diagnosis is overkill....let's figure out another option". I may have been witness to a 'miracle'. My Christian friends would call it a "minor miracle", but a miracle, none the less. I will soon turn 70 years old, and as long as I can remember I have never been able to breathe through both nostrils at the same time. It was so bad that I was addicted to Afrin Nasal Spray at least 3 or 4 times in my life. I couldn't breath without the Afrin spray and it exacerbated my problem 10 fold. I had to take steroids to get off the Afrin. It wasn't pretty!! Last month Dr. Kelsch suggested that I have a procedure called Balloon Sinuplasty to open my sinuses. Dr. Kelsch is my fav! I've been to valley ENT from November 2019 to March 2021, and Dr. Kelsch is outstanding in every way! He was my ENT for a few years and will continue to see him in the future if I ever need to again. Although I need scar revision from my thyroid surgery in August 2020 that I did with him, I don't blame anyone or him! It's just how my skin is, and how my skin heals. I don't regret my decision at all in choosing Dr. Kelsch to do my surgery a few years ago. Dr. Kelsch is responsible for taking my quality of life from a 6 to a 10. I had been battling severe allergies and chronic asthma for years. I used to be an avid runner and that ended in my early 20s after getting ill and developing reactive airways. I spent most of my 20s on a rotating door of drugs and specialists. I was referred to Dr Kelsch years later and I guess you could say, "..better late than never". You could tell he cared from the very first visit- Genuinely cared. He examined my nasal cavity and was thorough in explaining exactly what he saw and what that means. He told me I was an ideal candidate for a surgery but was sure to explain the risks of it and reviewed alternative options with me as well. He didn't sugar coat the surgical risks which I appreciated. I elected to have the surgery and am so glad I did. Dr Kelsch called me the night before and the day after op. to check in and ask if I had any questions. I can only imagine how incredibly busy this man is running his own practice yet he always found the time to check in himself. I was thoroughly impressed with his bedside manner and never once felt rushed at any of my appointments. He leaves voice notes that transcribe onto his patient charts at the end of each appt and I wish all doctors did this! It's comforting to know we pick up exactly where we left off. It has been a little over a year since the surgery and my quality of life is far better than I could have imagined. My energy is back, my positive outlook and even my voice has returned to normal. I remember tearing up at the post-op appt when we removed the stints from my nose and I could breath in air through both nostrils. It was the first time in years I could really breath- Figuratively & Literally. I haven't been into his office in over 6 months and never really got the chance to say thank you so I hope he reads this one day. Thank you Dr Kelsch, I am incredibly grateful for you and your team! Dr. Kelsch is an excellent surgeon. I won't list all the procedures he performed, but because of his excellent work, I no longer have to use a CPAP machine and for the first time in my life I can actually breathe out of my nose! I have healed even better than I could have hoped for and I do believe it's because Dr. Kelsch is just really good at what he does. read more

Dr Kelsch was recommended by 2 people I know. I kept getting colds and my sinus always were pounding. Dr Kelsch did a cat scan and saw my sinus passages were very narrow. He suggested a balloon sinuplasty over surgery. Had it done in office without any problems. Dr Kelsch himself called me the next day, Saturday to see how I was. On Tuesday I was still feeling pressure and wanted to make sure everything was ok. I called the office and they got me in that afternoon instead of having to wait to Thursday for my follow up. Everything looked good and the pressure is part of the healing process. If you decide to have this procedure give yourself a few days after to recope. Some are ok the next day. I needed about 5 days to feel better, but I am a slower healer. read more

Earl S. Dr. Timothy. A. Kelsch, a very thorough first class ENT, whom was highly recommended by the very best Neurologist at Barrow Brain and Spine. My condition was Severe Nose bleeding (epistaxes). Problem is that we couldn't find exactly where it was coming from. The first visits from other ENT outfits determined that it was deep in to the nose area and recommended a nose embolization. The Embolization process was performed twice from the crew at CIC, and did not quite do the job. We started our journey with Dr. Kelsch at Valley ENT and systematically evaluated my notes that were developed over a year. Just to put everything in perspective, Dr. Kelsch was the first DR that ever performed an in depth endoscopy of my internal nose. An area was discovered that showed a large inflamed blood vessel that was believed to be the culprit. the area was so inconspicuous, that Dr Kelsch with a camera even almost missed. Dr Kelsch performed an in office process that has healed and held for 5 months now. The longest no nose bleeds after Embolization from CIC was 38 days. I was hoping top get at least a couple of months at a time. As you can see, we are far past that. I Am very pleased with his first class process and will continue to see Dr. Kelsch as a primary ENT. read more

I'll start with - I don't leave reviews very often. They have to earn my review (very good or very bad). Have been seeing Dr. Kelsch for past year and a half. Since under his care I have gone from weekly/daily epistaxis (bloody noses) to NONE in over 18 months. Had septoplasty, turbinate reduction surgery in June. 6 weeks out and already a world of difference. Despite only slight allergy symptoms (stuffiness) I have not needed any OTC or Rx allergy meds in 2 months - probably a first in 30 years to go that long! Dr. K is direct, efficient and effective. After being diagnosed with a tumor on my right parotid gland I looked for an ENT to do the surgery and Dr Kelsch came highly recommended. Dr. Kelsch was recommended by my primary care physician when I was looking for someone to fix my deviated septum. After doing an internet search on the three doctors he recommended I picked Dr. Kelsch and now two months later, now post surgery, I'm still so glad I did. He was very professional and made me feel very comfortable about the procedure. He explained everything he would be doing during the procedure in detail and answered all my questions. Between a few staff in his office and a few nurses at the medical center where I had the surgery, I met about 6 people who had actually had the same procedure done by him. His office accepted BCBS of AZ at the time of my procedure. My only recommendation is to book any appointment in advance, the new patient appointment took me over a month to book out, the surgery was another month. He is a popular doctor for good reason. Also make sure to get the contact number for his assistant and the office billing rep. I was told they would call me and they did, once. But I missed the calls and we played phone tag for a whole week because they only return calls once a day. read more

There are not enough kind words I can say about Dr. Kelsch and his practice.I went in to see Dr. Kelsch when I nodule in my thyroid tested with a high possibility for cancer. On my first visit Dr. Kelsch was patient, kind and heard all my concerns. He explained all the risks and options available to me, which I appreciated very much. I was not rushed, or made to feel unimportant. I got my surgery and needless to say Dr. Kelsch and his surgical team are amazing! I have never had such a wonderful experience during such a scary part of my life. Dr. Kelsch and his team took care of me and my family. He went the extra mile and made the incision along a crease line in my neck so that the scar would not be visible. This experience was so wonderful I wouldn't of minded the scar. This way I would have a reminder of how one of the scariest moments in my life, turned out to be such a wonderful one.
