This spot is fire. I came in on a weekday for a late dinner so I was able to be seated right away. I ordered the Wisco Whiz with a potato bun instead of a pretzel bun with their fries. The burger was fantastic- juicy, savory, and full of flavor. The bacon they use in this burger is so good! As for the fries, the server told me that their fries won some kind of award and I can see why. Great texture and nice & salty. I took my leftovers home and they were still relatively crispy the next morning. The quality of ingredients they use here definitely shows! Delicious food, good vibes, and great service- highly recommend! P.S. They also have a happy hour! I forgot to take a picture of the menu so I'd call and ask them in you're interested!

First time here. Came with a small group after hearing they had excellent burgers, so we stopped in to check it out. It's a vintage-looking building with a fenced outdoor area filled with tables and metal chairs. Umbrellas provide shade if needed. Inside, there's a bar with seating and several tables of different sizes. The space has a vintage vibe with bare brick walls, a metal ceiling, wood floors, and even a six-foot-high metal vault door. We were greeted right away by our cheerful server, who explained the menu and took our drink order. I went with the mocktail, St. Peri Spritz (there's also a version with alcohol). While waiting for the rest of our group to arrive, we played some of the games available. There were several other groups there, some with kids, and the noise level was just right for conversation. When everyone arrived, we placed our full order: cheese curds for an appetizer, then a variety of burgers with sides including fries, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower. The cheese curds came out first -- a generous portion and served hot. The breading had (what I think) chili flakes mixed in, giving it a little spice without being overpowering. Very good. The accompanying Spicy Valley Sauce was a nice addition and, again, not too hot. The burgers followed shortly after, and they were all excellent. I had the Wisco Whiz with cheddar, whiz, bacon, dijonnaise, caramelized onion, pickles, and a pretzel bun. It was almost perfect. The only disappointment was the bacon, which was tough and detracted from an otherwise amazing burger, so I set it aside. All the sides we ordered were also very good -- my Brussels sprouts were outstanding. Overall, a fantastic first visit. Excellent burgers, friendly service (thanks, Aubrey), and a casual atmosphere. Would love to come back again (hold the bacon).

Super cute little restaurant, and I mean small maybe 10 to 12 tables but so worth the wait! The burger of the month (Swedish meatball) was freaking phenomenal! Came with a side of gravy for dipping your burger or heck dip your fries in between that and the valley sauce. I have no clue what is in that sauce but I could take a few jars of it to bring home. So so so good! The staff were very nice, friendly and prompt with service. Totally recommend this one as a must try!

We had ten people on a bike ride in the area. We enjoyed sitting on the patio for a very good lunch. We tried several different burgers that were all very tasty. I enjoyed cheese curds with mine as well as a local beer. We had good service for a large group.

We did our usual pit spot in Valley Burger for dinner as we head down to Madison. The whole family lives coming here because the kids get a great burger with fries and their delicious sauce. I decided to try something "healthier" even tho I'm such a burger fanatic I was very impressed at the cómbo I had. The cauliflowers were so delicious! They were perfectly deep fried and served with an herb ranch dipping. The Cesar salad was good ! It had all your traditional fixings with the curtains Parmesan and dressing. Over all I loved my order and the kids enjoyed their kids meal.

Staff was very friendly, the food was out in about 20 minutes for five of us. Very enjoyable experience

Interesting lunch stop near the bicycle trail. We ate out on the sunny outdoor area. Our server, Madeline served our whole bike group (12 of us!) with ease. Good cocktails and local brews.

Top 5 burger. I am a big fan of burgers and this place is legit. I had the O.B and my friend had the classic and we were blown away. Soft bun, perfect crispy/juicy smash patties and the right amount of toppings. The fries were also excellent. Our server was also really nice. They have a great cocktail, mocktail, wine and beer list too. Will dream about this one lol.

Hole-in-the-wall!! Tiny menu is perfect; they do those 4 burgers well. The specialize in cocktails but still have some wine & beer. Went on a Friday night and had a whiz burger which is made with housemade cheese sauce. Served on a pretzel bun. One of the most delicious burgers I've had in the wine state of Wisconsin! Fries were great on the side! Done crispy.

Seen the reviews and figured this was a no brainer. Me and the wife's 10 year anniversary and we needed a good lunch spot. This place did not dissapoint!!! We went out the night before so we had some hot pipes. They had Sprite in a glass bottle!! Pipes cooled, first class. I had the mushroom Swiss burger and she had the original. The cremini mushrooms on my burger was a nice touch. Everything was excellent and fear not eating there. Would eat here once a week if I could!!

TLDR: creative cocktail and good menu with a Wisconsin twist…read more I brought my group of 8 family and friends here and everyone loved what they ordered! The menu features a lot of local Wisconsin produce and Wisconsin favorites with a twist, like Baked Cheese Curds (the tomato jam is SO GOOD) and Portobello Poppers with a wild rice and cheddar filling (it was so tasty I couldn't believe it was vegetarian!). Everyone really liked the Chicken Fried Rabbit (obviously, not our veg friend lol). The buttermilk-brined rabbit leg was so juicy and tender. The red cabbage slaw on the side was a perfect pairing. The Candied Pork Belly just melted in my mouth, no joke! And I love that it was seasoned with hoisin sauce and came with some baba ghanoush, which you'd think wouldn't go together--but it so does. For my main, I had the Grilled Ribeye and my bf had the Roasted Lamb. Both were cooked to perfection (medium rare) and both were phenomenal! The chimichurri on the side had some sweet kick to it but the steak didn't even need it bc it was plenty flavorful and tasty. The lamb was so tender and the mint gelee was *chef's kiss*. The Great Lakes Walleye was served on a nice tomato confit brodo and my bf's parents absolutely loved how imaginative it was. We all thought it'd just come out with a side of potatoes or something but the presentation blew us away AND they said it was very lovely. The kids loved their How 'Bout Them Apples pizza, which wouldn't have been my first choice (apples on pizza?!) but it did look tasty! For drinks, I ordered the Seamus (which is basically an old fashioned with Irish whiskey) and my partner ordered the Watermelon Mojito. I couldn't believe he liked the Seamus bc he usually hates old fashioneds but tbf it was a very well balanced cocktail! His Watermelon Mojito was refreshing and yummy (but a little too sweet for me). My bf and our friend both loved it tho! We'll definitely be back again the next time we pass thru Eau Claire!!

I think we had approximately 20 people and a couple joined last minute. I know this is not ideal for servers, but it worked out well and again, we so appreciate it! The Informalist was super convenient since many of us were staying at the Lismore Hotel. Since this restaurant is located in the lobby, it was just super easy and the menu has something for everyone. We ordered from both the pizza and regular dinner menu and many of us shared a bit of everything! The truffle fries may have been the biggest hit of all, so don't miss out on those! Pizza is fabulous too. We saw elote fries, a burger, caesar salad, steak and so many other things at our table. My favorite pizza was the Yellow Jacket, which includes red sauce, mozzarella, cheddar cheese, pepperoni, and spicy honey. My least favorite item was the salmon crudo, but the salmon entree was not bad. Ambiance is hip and trendy and feels a bit fancy, but we were all dressed casually. Interesting due to the name of the restaurant, but it works! If back in the area, I'd absolutely return. Enjoy!
