Only one in our group had any experience, so direction was needed. Sal was our axe specialist and with his guidance we were mostly all able to hit the ground running. If you follow his instructions you will stick the axe. Bottom line. It's a fun night out, and this is a great place to throw.

I even got a morale award and fun player to throw axes against award over my time there. The banter was always good. It was always a light night of laughter and giggles. I even brought my daughter with me from time to time and she loved it. I ended up making my own group of girls from axe that I see regularly, which I'm thankful for. I have been gone this last season so maybe now about seven weeks and as I was getting ready to re-sign up for the new season, I get this blindsided email with absolutely no information, no facts, nothing. I was very surprised, hurt..though this is Chris's demeanor so there is that. What's surprised me the most is there was no call to me. No text, no asking me to come in and have a conversation to see if there is any merit to what the email alleges. This is very shameful of Total Axe to not actually have a conversation first with both sides being that it's all alleged. Multiple people had a problem with me... great present the facts, something. Why I am putting this out here is because I want people warned of how this small business handles situations. They presume you guilty and that's that. The ladies that go there, I wish you all the best and will miss the camaraderie, the conversations, the banter . I hope to see you outside that hostile environment. Needless to say this was not OK the way this was handled. No one deserves this. I never laid a finger on anyone and never have I threatened anyone. I am sure I am missing some. I organized an hour long visit which was easy to set up over the phone. We arrived and were warmly welcomed by the owner. We had another employee show us what to do, and he watched and kept score while we played a few games, cheering us on and giving us tips as we went. Never once did we feel out of place or silly, which is nice when you are doing something so new. The concept is fairly quite easy to grasp once you find your sweet spot in your throw. It is challenging but not impossible. It is also great to see a vast array of people having fun. The girls have just as much fun as the boys and the old can definitely keep up with the young. This is a great new way to get off the couch and have some fun, whether its with a team of co-workers, or your closest friends. Currently they only take cash so keep that in mind if you go for a throw!

Reservations are recommended for darts or axe throwing. Eventually, we migrated to the second floor and began wielding the axes. If you've read my previous writings you'll understand why I was disqualified and Marshalled the events. FWIW, at the end I threw against the top axe chucker and thoroughly cleaned his clock. This should garner me creds amongst the younger folk. Back downstairs for more snacks, drinks and the results. The guy helping us out was lovely. He alleviated my friend's concern of thr axe bouncing amd injuring her. He was also very knowledgeable about fixing our form so we could hit the targets. He was also happy to take photos for us so we could both be in them. After the instruction he ran us through some games. Over all we have a fantastic time. $25 for an hour is really not bad. I think this is something that would be great to do during the colder months when the weather can get terrible. Would definitely recommend!

Someone in our group decided to choose the Harry Potter escape room. Unfortunately, the rest of our group was unaware it was the hardest escape room at this location. We had a fun time in the escape room. Our group was a mixture of experts and amateurs, so I think this room was a little too much for some of us. The clues in the first room seemed hard to find and understand, but we also had an issue with one player holding on to all the clues. We did manage to make it to the last room, but we needed a few extra minutes to complete it. I'd love to come back and give one of the other rooms a shot. We finished off our night with axe throwing. I've always wanted to go, as well as Andrew. My weapon of choice was the axe, but everyone else seemed to like the ninja stars more. We'll definitely be back in the nearby future!
