Justin: If it were not for Justin being at Heald College when it closed I would have never heard of this school. He also gave me information about the school that had me really excited to come and be a student here. 2. Tina: Tina has been amazing and helped make sure that I had everything that I needed and stayed on top of everything. Especially on reminding me about my make-up hours. 3. Melissa: I have not really spent as much time with Melissa as I have Tina but every time I have asked her for help she was always there. Especially when I had assignments were due and the printer in the lab was not working, she would come in and fix it like it's nothing. Such a life-saver and a grade saver! 4. Nicole: Even though she is not at this location anymore she still had did a lot for me especially making sure that my paperwork for my stuff was done. She is one of the few people that have called me to give me reminders about things that needed to be done or that were going to be due. 5. Carrie: Is another person that is not here anymore but she helped keep me on my game and Took care of anything for me that I needed help with. It sucks that she's not here to hear this but she is truly amazing. 6. Carla: I have not really done too many things with Karla but she was still very nice and had answers to questions that others did not or at least were not sure of. And she would always say hi to me when she seen me. 7. Mrs. Heather: Awesomely amazing teacher!!!! Made class very enjoyable and fun to learn. There are a lot of good memories that I will never forget. She was like one of us just not as a student haha. She also never gave up on any of us and would do anything she could to help us and make sure that we all passed the class. 8. Mrs. Raynor: Another awesomely amazing teacher who loved her students and loved teaching us all. I will say her class felt a little harder but it was still very enjoyable and fun. Just like Mrs. Heather she never gave up on her students and would do anything that she could to make sure that we all pass her class. Overall everyone here at this school is amazing. Thank you for making education fun and exciting. I really enjoyed my time here, and who knows maybe I'll come back and do another program! I love you all.

Not even a month into it and I was regretting and dragging my feet to in everyday. My 1st instructor taught use more about his personal life then the actual subject. Didnt follow the way he was supposed to teach us whiched caused a big issue for those who were going to go into the next class. He passed everyone regardless. Had a motor project and passed us all even though none of us got the motor to work. He didnt really even try to get it running. You don't learn in the traditional way. You don't learn from A-Z. They will throw you in wherever the class is currently at. So you maybe learning the very end of the book before you even learn the beginning of the book which is bad if you are completely new to the subject and don't have any knowledge or experience. You don't jump into HVAC right away which is normal. You'll be doing electrical theory but my instructor didn't even go over HVAC electrical. I was learning more how to be an electrician then HVAC technician. Once I got into HVAC I was told in was going to take my certification test at the end of that month. Which is beyond stupid. They gave me a study packet to help prepare me for the test. By the time I had to take the test I failed of course but wasnt worried. Was told i had 3 attempts to take the test. The very next day after I took the 1st test i was told to take it again, and again I failed. The day after the 2nd test I was told to take it again and use the study packet because the head of the campus wants us to pass. Probably to give him a bonus or something like that. Well I'm not going to pay them to cheat on my future. I tried to talk them but the head of the campus "wasn't in today". I tired to call and kept going in to talk to him about why they wanted me to cheat. But kept getting the same response. I called them and told them I was dropping out because the cheating was the last straw. Then it seemed like they actually cared about my problem. I finally got calls back from the school and told them why I was leaving but the lady seemed not to really be paying attention and wanted me to go in and sit down with the head of the campus. I wasn't going to waste my time with them anymore. Said in was going to go in but didn't. I told them about it and they didn't seem to care until I left.

This dysfunctional company is by far the WORST. If you are considering doing business with them I…read moresay DO NOT use them they are HORRIBLE! I started the process over a year ago speaking with Lynn Orr. She was a recruiter. She was nice and I thought she did a good job getting me enrolled and ready to start with MTS. My scheduled start date was a few weeks away. Time flew by, and with just 2 days away from when I was supposed to start I had not heard from Lynn or the MTS. I called and was told that Lynn quit her job abruptly. Gee I wonder why? So I spoke with another recruiter who basically said I fell through the cracks. 2 days later I started the training. The classroom training was terrible! We watched a Zoom Meeting with a trainer who I could not understand as the sound quality was bad! On day 2 we had a different trainer and I could understand her better. But the training was her giving the answers to the upcoming DMV test. Over 200 answers. I asked her, how am I supposed to know this material if we never went over it? She said "well by giving you the answers you can start to understand" After the 2 days we were told that we were ready to go to the DMV and take the Permit tests. I was kind of shocked, but I did go to the DMV and I passed the tests to get a Permit although I felt I had very little comprehension of the material but I was good at cramming in the answers I guess? Next was the behind the wheel training which was scheduled for the following week. I reviewed some paperwork which indicated that I had to have the physical / drug test before I could do any behind the wheel driving. I called the office irritated that they did not catch this. I brought it to their attention, and then I had to go for the physical / drug test. Then I had to wait another week for the results. This set me back! After the results I met with my driving instructor named Vang. He gave me a script to follow for the pre-trip inspection. The driving part was easy for me as I had previously driven many large vehicles such as a motorhome pulling a boat so I was comfortable and did well with that part. But the hardest part is to demonstrate the pre trip inspection with a DMV examiner. I failed the pre trip demonstration 3 times, so I did not even make it to a road test. The examiner each time told me I omitted some required items, such as actually saying that I was measuring the tire pressure with a commercial tire pressure gauge, and measuring the tire tread with a commercial tire tread measuring gauge. I had simply followed the script that Vang gave word for word. I said and the tire pressure needs to be this psi, and the tread depth has to be this. Apparently not using the correct verbiage can be a reason to fail the test. The examiner said that I did not mention the onboard camera for monitoring, I said my trainer never mentioned that at all. When I failed the Air Breaks portion which is an automatic fail, it was because of the verbiage that I did not say correctly. Although I was following the script provided by Vang. I went into the DMV and complained to a Supervisor. I was with Vang, the DMV Supervisor pulled out the Commercial Truck Drivers California Handbook, and showed both of us the actual verbiage that must be stated otherwise it is a fail. This verbiage was not in my script!!! I finally passed on my 4th attempt, although I had to go back to the DMV and re-take the permit tests because after 3 fails they take away your permit. I only passed on the 4th attempt because I used the correct verbiage provided to me from the DMV not MTS. In conclusion, if you can find another trucking school to go with, trust me you will do yourself a huge favor. These people are scammers in my opinion! I went to community college and struggled I didn't think I was going to do anything and my education was going to take forever. I was interested in dental and thought to just go for it. It was hard at first. I had a bad attitude towards everything and didn't feel confident in myself. I wanted to quit the first month and go back to trying to figure out where I would go next. But my teacher mrs.Audra didn't let that happen. She talked to me one on one about my attitude and how she believed I was Better then how I was acting. If It wasn't for her I wouldn't of been a leader in my class, earn the highest GPA I ever had, and been able to have the career of my dreams. I never would've thought I would see myself in such a good place. Blake Austin brought so much of myself out and made me a better person. I will always stay and give back to this school. I want to thank mrs.Audra from being the best teacher I could ever ask for. Ms.sam for having my back during all the crazy things going on while I was on extern and mrs. Melyssa for helping me even when i wasn't her student. I want to thank Eric Grayson for calling me all the time telling me I have to come to this school and helping me be the best student ambassador I could be. These are just a few of the staff at Blake Austin that made me the successful dental assistant I am today. If your interested in starting a career in dental.
