The instructor was fine but the way the program was ran, horrible!! I requested to get a refund but they refused stating that there was no deadline in the contract I signed meaning I can be waiting over a year and still won't get a refund. Waited 6 months for an "Externship Site" which I eventually didn't have to do because by that time I already got an MA position at a local hospital. IJS go else where and get your money's worth at a real school that will properly teach you the skills you need to keep your patients and yourself safe at a workplace. Not worth it!

This is a review for Rafeal's healing and life coaching services:…read more I had the privilege of seeing Rafeal speak on a panel of health providers at the Empowering Women of Color Conference in 2017 at UC Berkeley. She is a captivating orator, brilliant! and spoke truth around issues of systemic oppression, the need for a critical lens on our health care system and the idea of de-colonization around our perception of health. She also gave us tips for self-advocating for culturally inclusive and trauma informed health care from people we feel safe to identify with. After seeing her speak, I was able to reach out to Rafael to start life-coaching sessions, I am a community worker and have been dealing with issues of extreme stress and its impact on my body and mental/emotional wellness. Aside from general counseling she also provided me with a reading that was clear, relevant and helpful. Over the last year, our as-needed coaching sessions have inspired me to move into some healthier patterns around my work place communication and career goals. Checking in with her has allowed me to have some accountability to myself and its been super helpful in attaining my goals.

She was coaching me and making sure both myself and my partner were taken care of. She showed him how he could best support me, which meant so much. She made some house visits during postpartum which was fabulous. It was great to have her kind support during such a gentle transitional time.

My instructor was awesome and the online learning platform was surprisingly user friendly. I learned a ton (maybe too much -- now my friends don't want to drink wine with me because I can't help but start dropping wine facts)! The class consisted of several self-paced modules (written content, a few self-check quizzes, videos, etc.), and three Zoom class sessions with group tastings that were recorded in the event you could not attend. I took the WSET Level 1 exam immediately after the course ended and it felt like a piece of cake (passed with no issues!) after making my way through all of Napa Valley Wine Academy's content. If you're looking to get a great foundation in wines and preparation for the exam, I definitely recommend Napa Valley Wine Academy's courses, but if you are looking for something more interactive to build community, I would not recommend the online courses -- nobody in my class used the discussion feature and I did not connect with a single classmate. I really enjoyed Level 1 and would have already signed up for Level 2 if it weren't so expensive....hopefully one of these days!

I reached out to book a farm cooking experience for a bachelorette weekend. When she picked up, she explained she had just returned from a workout. During that call, I clearly communicated that our group would be staying at a hotel and would need an on-site venue -- not an option, a requirement. Despite this, I had to reiterate it again in a later email, suggesting she wasn't tracking the basic details of our event. Camille is really personable and kind-- I just felt like there was a lack of professionalism. After multiple email exchanges and weeks of back and forth, she sent a pricing breakdown on June 19th acknowledging she still needed to confirm farm availability -- while simultaneously letting me know I needed to sign a contract and submit a deposit by June 26th. I had already shared the experience with my group and gotten everyone excited. On June 24th, today, she informed me the farm had been booked and was unavailable. I want to address that respectfully. I confirmed the date and guest count with her over the phone during our very first call June 1st-- and reiterated both again in writing on June 19th. At that point, she had everything she needed to check availability. The farm wasn't contacted until June 23rd. I understand that securing a third-party venue has its challenges, and I have no doubt she works hard. But had the farm been contacted when she first had the date and headcount, we would have known much sooner and I wouldn't have shared the experience with my group prematurely. I wish her all the best and hope this feedback is helpful going forward.

The process was fun from discussing the menu, to the actual day. She is over the top prepared, personable, and very warm and friendly. You can tell this is her true passion and it shines through her work. Chef Camille did the table setting, paired wines with each course, and served only the freshest, local and regional ingredients.
