The is a very late review but just thought I'd share. I went to Learning Oasis to take the CCMA PROGRAM as a refresher course at an adult school located in South San Francisco, CA. and this place was definitely not up to standards. The instructor was fine but the way the program was ran, horrible!! I requested to get a refund but they refused stating that there was no deadline in the contract I signed meaning I can be waiting over a year and still won't get a refund. Waited 6 months for an "Externship Site" which I eventually didn't have to do because by that time I already got an MA position at a local hospital. IJS go else where and get your money's worth at a real school that will properly teach you the skills you need to keep your patients and yourself safe at a workplace. Not worth it! read more

I believe this place went out of business I HOPE SO!!! if it hasn't I recommend you do not sign up for it. These people are the worst. When I signed up they cancelled the class like two weeks prior to start date. They told me I would get my refund within a few weeks, they stopped answering calld and they would send me to some unknown voicemail. I didn't get it after months until I had to file a lawsuit to get refunded. Please keep away from this trash business and their horrible people! read more

I went through their MA program at Sierra College several years back and it turned out to be a waste of time and money. When I registered, the program supposedly had a phlebotomy unit. Upon the first day of class, we learned, oops, no phlebotomy would be taught. That's a separate class and another several thousand dollars. Finished the class and easily passed the board exam. From reading other reviews, I was very lucky to get placed into an externship quickly. I never did find a job as a medical assistant since the program is not accredited. It's a moot point now that this "institution " is now permanently closed though. read more

Made it through the EKG program at the top of my class, couldn't find work / externships cuz I would have had to leave my bill paying employment! $3,000 time and hard work down the tube. I loved the field too. My license will expire tomorrow. read more

This school is horrible!! I put down a deposit which after speaking to Dana Bernard... she herself promised to refund $350 of my deposit well over two months ago. Then I spoke to her again three weeks ago and she stated she was sending it out that Friday. I haven't received it, I have left several messages and never got a call back and now when I call it's goes to an unknown voicemail. I'm reporting her and her company to the BBB. Don't give them your money, don't believe what they say ... go to a real school... the Learning Oasis is a money hungry establishment that doesn't believe that your word is your bond and that's exactly what makes a person and a business!! read more

Beware!!!! Do not pay this school for your SO called education! Helena P is the worst instructor ever!! All they want is your $$$ Dana is " president " of Oasis is cold , cold, cold! I should have known better the stars Gave it away...I really believe in people who work hard for their $ and are honest and this instructor was far from working hard for her $ it was an easy breezy paycheck for her! Her lectures were a joke! She had zero patience when a student did not understand something she allowed cheating and never spread students apart when we were being quizzed or doing final/ midterm. The instructor would email us THE night before to say class is a late start "tomorrow " then in the morning an email read " no class " class cancelled " wow really, we are paying monthly payments to be there from 8:30-3:30 nope! Not the case always 1 pm or 2! I wanted to call Napa.But I was afraid it might get back to her and she would hate me. I honestly think she didn't care and had drinking issues! It's not possible to leave negative stars so I had to give 1 star. We spent $2000.00 cash to send my daughter to the program in Stockton CA. She finished top of her class and is now having the hardest time being placed to complete her 120 hour internship. The school is only trying to send her 45 minutes and or further away to complete her internship. We asked at the very beginning of the program and were assured that she could do her internship local. They told us that they had contracts with all of the large pharmacies and this would be the least of her issues. Almost 2 months after completing the program the school is still unwilling to place her in an internship in Stockton Ca. She's only 18 and does not yet have reliable transportation to commute for a free internship. We've tried explaining that her car is to old but they do not care. Not one bit. Very poorly run program. If you have other options do NOT use this school. They only want the money. Education and success is NOT their priority read more

Not a fan of the progam. Still new and things "promised" and represented have not been delivered. Quite disappointed in the lack of "teaching". Class time consisted mostly of slides and teacher was not prepared and unprofessional on his statements/remarks to students. Wondering is there a money back guarantee with this program? Just wanted to take the time out to write a review for this great program! In 2014, I enrolled into Carrington college for the same program, but such a waste of time! Especially with such a high tuition and teacher whom wasn't very helpful. On the other hand, The Learning Oasis had such convenient schedules and payment plans. I recently finished the pharmacy tech class in March 2016 and was attending the class in San Leandro with the best teacher I've ever had, Mr. Rowland Morey! He's very experienced and was very thorough with all of the material with much patience. I loved his sense of humor as well my other classmates making the experience more interesting. I will always appreciate and remember his intentions for his students to succeed as our best! He definitely loves what he does and I will always recommend him! They've quickly placed me on my externship and I received a job offer within the 1st week! Thank u again! read more

I wish Yelp would let me leave no stars. Maybe at a different location it's different, but the one in Stockton is a complete joke. I finished the program and never got placed in a externship. No one in the class did. We called and complained and was always told repeatedly by a assistant that she couldn't take our call. The program makes you buy a shitty book with hardly any helpful information. If it wasn't for the teacher and her experience being in the field none of us would of felt like we learned anything. It was pointless to learn anyways we never got placed. Avoid this shitty program at all cost. Keep your money and go else where. How am i expected to remember everything.. they promised me a well paying job in the near future..It has been so long, i had to find my own! To the point where I am loving my new job and don't even want to complete the program myself. Except it is non refundable, and i spent all that time and money..SO...wheres my externship?!?!? Now, I have more than persistently tried to get in touch with Dana Bernard..who seems to ignore my emails and never calls me back. I was so upset to find out that Dana Bernard finally called my Grandmother a few weeks ago. Dana acted very confused, and blamed me for not getting the externship done. She also stated " I/We dont keep track of students who get/complete externships..." Now wth does that mean?? How are students supposed to complete the course if Dana never is informed of us finishing the class portion and us not getting an externship and completing the whole class????? I am lost with words. Does it mean that the Wal greens or CVS who hosts the externship is in charge of the rest? Highly doubt it! Its the schools job to keep track of every student and what they do! Don't take this program through Monterey Peninsula College, It feels like a joke, scam, waste of 30 students money a year!! The Pharmacy Tech program is very poorly run, with no lab and an instructor who did not know her material or any other medical info. She claimed to be a PA working in CA, but it's funny how the PA board doesn't have her listed. It's also "funny" that she did not know anything about pharmacy or medicine. It was painful to listen to her rambling and wildly incorrect information. I and my classmates had to learn on our own. The CEO Dana is very unorganized and did not improve over the term of the course. Alicia was the so called instructor who knew nothing. The only good instruction was given by Dodi, a 20 year veteran pharmacy tech who does sterile IV admixtures. She gave a 4 hour lab on sterile technique and laminar flow hoods. It was the only decent class we had. We have been waiting 6 weeks since class ended to do the required externship. They didn't even have that part of the course lined up! Do NOT waste your money on any program put out by this fraudulent school. read more
