Absolute amazing service. The attention to detail is impeccable. Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance in action!

Vallantine is the go-to independent BMW service in town. So I always go there. K-bike, R-bike, whatever. Competent and fairly priced. Plus, they're nice people. Go there.

I'm a little tardy on this review because it comes from my experience with Dana and Mark about this time last year. Better late than ever...Picked up a 1985 K100 LT that had been cut up into a pretty cool Cafe Racer of OfferUp. The first thing I wanted to do was to get the bike into Vallantine to have it given the once over to ensure it the custom build was done properly and safely. Drove the k100 in and picked it up a few days later and as it turned out the front forks had been reinstalled backward and everyone had a good laugh about that. The bike was corrected and tightened up and I was good to go. Rode the bike for a year while I waited for another k100 custom build to be done by a professional and now I'll be taking that into Dana and Mark to have them give that the a once over as well. Great guys. Educated me on my previous bike when I picked it up. Gave me good, safe suggestions on other adjustments that I could make myself. The cost of the first bike was more than reasonable based on the fixes and changes that needed to be made to help keep me safe on the road. - See you guys soon! Thomas H

These folks are knowledgeable, reliable, finished when they said they would, fairly priced and were a pleasure to deal with.

I'm very happy with the work done for me on my 2001 R1100RTP. Mark could not have been more accommodating. Simply the best.

He's working as a mobile mechanic now which suited me even better, since I didn't have to deal with trying to load a dead bike into a truck or have it towed. After getting the runaround from several other mechanics for months, I was elated he agreed to come and have a look. He came the next day, drained the old gas, cleaned out the carb and made adjustments and miraculously got it started and running in about 4 hours. We chatted while he worked and he was happy to answer all questions I had about bikes, his business, his background, anything. He charges $50 for the visit and $60/hr for work, which I thought was a bargain for this wizard with a wrench. I plan on calling him back soon to replace a cruddy choke assembly (he fixed the part as best he could but said I should order a new one) and maybe do some other mundane stuff to get the bike ready for sale. He also works on scooters which is great since I bought one this spring. I absolutely recommend Fabio for your motorcycle mechanical needs - he answers his phone, shows up, is honest, doesn't judge and knows what he's doing! Did I mention he SHOWS UP?

Chris is an amazing guy (his stories!!) really knows what he's doing and prices are fair. There are some stinky reviews here about the location. I advise that you find a great place to hang out nearby while he works on your car. Pettirosso Cafe is close, and is dog-friendly. Have a coffee, a snack and hang out inside or at one of the sweet tables in the alleyway. Or take a walk through peaceful Seattle University nearby. You'll be better for directing your business here. Finding the shop's door at this funky building will be your biggest challenge - it's a treasure inside.

I ultimately had to take it to the Mercedes dealership, who ended up spending less of my money than Chris had to solve the additional problems Chris had created, and who diagnosed the original problem correctly, which was only a $175 fix, even at inflated dealership shop prices. When I showed the paperwork to Chris from the dealership to explain to him what the actual problem had been in an attempt to get some of my money back, he told me to - and I quote - "eat a dick if you don't like my work," and then he screamed at me to get out of his shop. This man is certifiably insane, and you would do well to go to pretty much any other shop in town if you want to get your Benz fixed properly.
