There was no one else in the shop while I got pierced except for the front desk employee, the piercer, me, and my friend which made me feel more comfortable. And the color was done with a liner too, scratching back and forth. It also took over an hour to do. The pain is unreal! Icon has better hygiene standards than most doctors' offices I've been to. What rounds out what I like most about Icon is their balance between customer service friendliness and not suffering foolishness. Especially, now that I'm older, I genuinely like that they expect adults to act like adults and follow the rules that they've set out. My only issue with this business has always been the parking. It's very pricey and 2. the staff upfront weren't the most welcoming or friendly. The jewelry for the piercings is per piercing, so my jewelry alone was $200, then the piercings were $55. Pretty expensive. I also wish the staff upfront were a little more welcoming and friendly. They didn't seem to love their jobs and were a little condescending.
