I had gotten a arm sleeve tattoo done recently in Nashville (yesterday to be exact) and although I absolutely love the piece was a little concerned with the aftercare advice - it was little too none. He suggested I shower twice a day and use jergens lotion frequently to help the healing process. Thankfully I decided to get a second opinion. I stopped in at battleground because it's in my neighborhood and was blown away by the customer service and friendly staff. The owner Will went out of his way to take the time and explain to me the importance of aftercare to ward off infections and also prolong the longevity of you're tattoo. Free of charge he took me into his booth and showed me how to properly apply aqua for too it and have me a handout he gives all his clients easily explaining how to take care of it over the next four weeks. I had a suspicion my original artist had neglected to explain to me that importance and I am so glad I stopped in to meet Will because he most likely saved me a ton of trouble - remember this will be on my body for life and I want to take the best possible care available and me having not had a huge piece done before was ignorant to the fact. I will 100% be coming back to this parkour for my next tattoo and am so thankful for Will and his staff. A woman had originally answered the phone e and offered me some of her personally Tagaderm because I thought that is what I needed to help protect it. All around above a 5star experience and I'm stoked to add their ink eventually to my body. Thanks Will and staff y'all are awesome. read more

I was very disappointed today when I went into my appointment and was told that it wasn't today It was next week. I said nope it's today I've been waiting. The artist was Paul that I was supposed to have a session with. He was at the desk and said wait it's next week. I repeated myself and pulled out card with dates on it. The vibe immediately changed and you could tell he wasn't happy about it. So I sit down and have patience he comes around the corner again no sorry, no introducing himself, no care for me the customer and says "just so you know I'm running an hou behind". I get we all make mistakes and I could have handled that but when I feel like I am a bother to someone that I'm coming to for something special and they don't acknowledge that I was done. I left and called the store to cancel I told her I didn't have time to wait since it's gonna be an hour. She said it's not gonna be an hour your appointment is at 5:30. I said No it was at 5 and Paul told me he was an hour behind. I cancelled my appointment and I went to Lonestar Jake Snoddy and Devin Kent took amazing care of me! Husband and I got tattoos here yesterday and they turned out great. Will was very nice and friendly. The shop is very clean and Will was very vigilant about covering surfaces and such. The only one thing was that I realized my deposit wasn't taken off the final bill. I could call and I'm sure they would make it right but I just figured it's an extra tip for a job well done. I had a great experience at this shop! It was my first tattoo and I was extremely nervous. But the cleanliness of the shop and professionalism of the staff made me feel more comfortable. Got my first tattoo here a few days ago and couldn't be happier! Will was super friendly and fun to talk to. He helped make sure the tattoo was exactly what I wanted! He also took the time to squeeze my appointment in on his day off which was much appreciated. Afterwards he made sure I understood how to care for it while it healed. Scheduled an appointment for my daughter's first tattoo. Payed a cash deposit, and was explained their policy of cancellation. On the day OF the appointment, the artist, Paul, had an unexpected death on the family. We were told management did not know how long he would be out. We were also told that we could reschedule, or get the deposit back when Paul returned to work. We had the tattoo done elsewhere, and my daughter returned at another time to collect her deposit. On two occasions, Paul was not there. On the third visit, he was there, and told her "well it's gone now". I went to get the deposit, and was told "that was a month ago" and then told there is a no refund policy. Paul yelled at me, so I told him I would share this with my Facebook friends ( which I did). I left, frustrated, and slammed the door. Paul came out on the porch and yelled obscenities at me! Very poor business practice! Will not recommend, nor go there again! read more

I connected w Will and Paul and they were able to get me in for an appt. Paul was my artist and I could not be happier w the Vegvisir (Norse compass) he did for me. It was awesome to talk w both guys before settling on the exact design. Will is highly knowledgable in Norse beliefs, history and symbolism. Gave me even more confidence in my choice. Shop was clean. So I went here for my first tattoo. Showed the guy what I wanted, a very very simple and small tattoo, and he showed no reaction or enthusiasm whatsoever but just said "Ok." Then I showed him where and he made a very displeased face and said, "....ok" nearly rolling his eyes. He then told me it was a $100 shop minimum, then about 10 minutes later another lady came out of another room with one of the other artists who had just done her tattoo told her it was a $75 minimum. I don't know if it's based on which artist does it or if Bryan flat out lied to me, but I'm a people pleaser and a chump and paid it anyways because I've been waiting years to finally get a tattoo. It literally took him 10 minutes to do the tattoo. I like the tattoo, but feel like he did the absolute bare minimum to get my money and was highly unenthusiastic to have my business. A family member went to the neighboring tattoo parlour the next day and was told they get a lot of complaints about Battleground Tattoo Parlour. She also got a tattoo about 3x the size of mine and for cheaper. I think my first tattoo experience could have been a lot better, money-wise and experience-wise. I don't like to assume the worst in people, but I think I would've been right to trust my gut here and should've waited to go somewhere else. read more

I had a tattoo scheduled with Brian on March 23rd. I made the appointment on March 3rd and cancelled on March 6th, 2 1/2 weeks before my appointment. Brian refused to return my $100.00 deposit, saying all deposit's were non-refundable. I explained to him that I wasn't told that, and would never had scheduled if told that. He pretty much called me a liar, saying he did tell me that and it was posted in the shop. As I told him, I wasn't going to argue with him over $100.00, they have every right to run their business as they see fit. I also understand they probably have no shows for times scheduled and that deposit is necessary to minimize loss. However, with 2 1/2 weeks notice, they have plenty of time to schedule something else in that time slot to increase their profit margins, basically getting paid $250 per hour for that one hour. Again, they have every right to run their business anyway they like. I have fought so every person has that right. But I also have a right to verbalize my dis-pleasure with the lack of customer service, being called a liar and taking advantage of a non-refundable deposit system. Again, 2 1/2 weeks. I also have the freedom of speech that I and so many fought for. Being a 4 time combat deployment Veteran, I humbling am asking all Veteran's, Patriots and people that just believe in right and wrong to boycott this business and to pass on this message to all your friends and associates. Enjoy that $100.00 Brian, it obviously means much more to you than me!! Let our voices be heard, spread the word!!! read more

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I walked into this shop by mistake looking for lone wolf tattoo and a girl snickered and said "trust me, you would much rather get your tattoo done here than there" and then laughed and walked away without any other explanation. It totally killed my confidence and I was scared to go to my appointment but thank God I did because Jacob over at lone wolf tattoo made me feel so safe did a killer job and was the best artist and shop atsmophere I've ever been in. When you walk into battleground, you can feel the negative energy. I wouldn't trust them to put permanent work on my body. You shouldn't need to talk crap about other places to gain business. I too am an artist in a different profession and I'm friends with my other local artists. I don't talk crap about them. This shop lost my potential business for life and I'm damn sure set on making it known how unprofessional they are. read more

First tattoo? They'll make you feel welcome and make sure you're comfortable and have a good experience. They don't alienate people for how they look or what they like. I made an appointment in April to get my tattoo. Originally I chose Will but he was booked weeks out, so I chose Paul instead. Huge mistake, he cancelled an hour before my appointment because of a death in the family. I wasn't upset, I completely understood. I went to golden yeti instead (best service ever) but when I went back to get my deposit the front desk woman said he's not here and we don't know when he will be back. So I come back on a Saturday and he still wasn't there, I left a note with my info and everything to ensure when he got back he called. I wait a few weeks and return back to get my deposit. I told the front desk I'm here to get my deposit back.. Paul walked up and asked who it was with and I said you. Paul asked when my appointment was and I told him, he said well that was weeks ago, laughed IN MY FACE and said it's gone now. Most UNPROFESSIONAL place I've ever stepped foot in. I will never be back and if anyone's asks about this place I will rage on how badly I was treated. My mother also went to try and get it back, Paul screamed, cussed, and refused to give the deposit back after HE cancelled on me. Paul just cost this place a lot of customers. read more
