I stopped and had 4 propane tanks filled today. Even though the price was $4.59 per gallon, the total cost was only $75. I used to do tank exchanges down the street at Shell, but not any more. Refilling is cheaper AND they fill the tank with a full #20 of propane. Exchanges don't do that. The people I dealt with were very courteous and quick to help. read more

Gas is gas. Not far from the beach or freeway. If you want to grab a burger next door from In N Out, you can grab a soda from here and save some cash. Reasonably priced drinks and snacks as well as gas considering it's location. I wouldn't hesitate to fill up here again. read more

If you're traveling on the I-5 heading north or south and you take Encinitas Blvd east, this will be the first gas station you encounter. I like this station because the gas prices are low, the station is clean and I can fill my gas tank on the way out for road trips or when I'm on my way home. There is a shopping center with Smart and Final, a CVS drug store and Crack Shack chicken restaurant across the street. There is also an In and Out Burger restaurant behind it and Oggis Pizza restaurant adjacent to it. Lots of options all in one place. So...if you're traveling and need some gas, stop by, fill your gas tank and grab some food at a nearby restaurant or store. You won't have to go very far. read more

I went in just to get air for my tires and they would not let me unless I buy something then even though I buy hundreds of hundred dollars with a guest probably thousand annually don't ever go to the gas station rudeand they don't care about their customers. Stopped by this gas station around 9 pm and I was helped out by Hoss. I had been having a difficult day especially with work. Being helped by Hoss, honestly restored my faith in humanity. He was so kind and helpful and showed so much compassion when I was embarrassed to pay with coins, and spare dollars. On September 19, 2021 at 10pm, the guy at the front desk first said they don't do propane refills on my vehicle (roadtrek). It easily accessed at the license plate. I told him I've been filled up here before. He then he said they don't do propane after 7pm due to lighting issues. Ok, won't be back at this location then. The guy kept mumbling, a little strange. Either way I shouldn't have filled up here and won't be back since I wasted my time coming here. The hours say 24/7 and I feel it shouldn't be up to the discretion of workers to decide what they feel like doing. read more

Mind blowing customer service! I got fuel and had my propane tanks refilled. Full service. Employees wouldn't even let me carry them to and from my car. I tried to tip and he refused to take the cash. He just asked that I continue to bring my business back. This is a badly run overpriced crappy station. I went in to use the bathroom guy says the code is on the bottom of your receipt. tell him I did not have a gas receipt. He says then its not working. I say, so if I buy a can of sofa, I can use the bathroom he says yes... I tell him then it is working and he is a f:&king liar. he called me a loser and I thought, yeah Im the guy working i. a gas station so I told him I would go elsewhere and feature the experience on yelp. If the boss is listening, please clean up your act. A homeless guy or a junkie can buy a soda and use your restroom but a 64 year old guy who is basically decent cannot? I have come to get gas here before, and it has been fine, however, this time I came to get gas and air. I went to get air first as the air pump was closest to me at the time. I went inside to ask for the air to be turned on. They said that I needed a receipt. I was confused and thought they meant from the air machine, and I said that I didn't think I did. They then specified that I needed a gas receipt. I told them that I planned to get gas afterward. They insisted I needed a receipt. I completely understand that it could be company policy to get a gas receipt before allowing air pumps to be used although I had yet to encounter that situation. My issue was with how rude they were to me. I would have simply driven my car to get gas before air if they hadn't spoken so loudly and unkindly. I no longer wanted to spend any money to support their business. As a woman and a very young person, I felt unsafe in the way they were speaking and acting. Went to this Valero off Encinitas Blvd 11/9 to buy a drink. Used my cc at the counter. On 11/24, a fraudulent charge shows up on my cc bill. So over 15 days later they used my card, which can only mean they are storing your cc info and charging things to it weeks later (it wasn't used at the pump, so the likelihood of a card reader is slim, since the counter card reader is always in front of the camera). Sketchy business if it's the employees doing it. Do not recommend. read more

The staff here is very friendly, courteous and quick. I have an RBI needed to get an RV fill up on my propane and called a local U-Haul shop and found out that this is the only one in the area. I just went in there to buy some headphones because I forgot mine at home. When I asked the worker (her name is KAREN) if they had any she seemed upset I asked. They have them on the counter and out of reach. When she asked which ones I wanted I told her to just give me the cheapest ones and her answer was "well you need to tell me what you want" and I said I'm not sure which you have because it seems the rest are cables right? And she said "I don't know I don't use headphones" ... so I told her if she worked there she should know what they sell...I am not sure what she was so upset about but this type of attitude towards customers is unacceptable and I will not be going back! read more

I used to live up the street from this Valero and I still go out of my way to swing in there for a fill up and to chat with the people who work there. They are all super nice and their car was is not a bad deal at all and they do a great job. Nothing better than getting a burrito next door while waiting for your car to get clean. read more

Gas was cheapest in the area so I stopped for gas, rock stars, and windshield wiper fluid. I asked for a bag for my items and the cashier had a puzzled look on his face. He then states we charge 10 cents for a bag like he made it up just so he didn't have to give me a bag!? Very strange experience. read more
