I ordered for myself the (now legendary) fish supper and for the boy a sausage supper. Service is usually pretty snappy and considering this place gets very busy at times (another good indicator that this is a quality chippy) I am impressed at their speedy service. Took our suppers home and WOW! There was enough chips and fish in my supper to feed 2 people (well, 2 ,not as hungry as I was, people) Yas! I like to get my moneys worth! Having said that quantity does not always equal quality but in this case it did. Chips were lovely; chunky, not too greasy or crispy and the fish was really good, quality fish. The boy's sausage supper was equally HUGE and upon trying the sausage that was top notch too. Prices for a supper are average, maybe below average compared to town/West End but for the sheer vast amount of food you get for your money it is most definitely worth it. This is now our favourite local chippy and rightly so.

It is famed for its carvery but we decided to leave it for another day. Both my choices were really nice. The burger didn't come with any salad or sauce which I found slightly strange but I improvised with my side salad and sour cream from my side. The service was really quick too. No faffing around here. We were in and out within the hour. We decided we couldn't visit without getting some cake to go. Who could walk past that cake cabinet without being at least tempted? Hubby and I love a cheesecake so we both opted for the toffee cheesecake. We thought about taking two different types and sharing but this one just looked so good we couldn't see past it. I've managed to eat a couple of mouthfuls so far so I can vouch for it being yummy. The takeaway box comes with a use by day which is handy because it'll take me until Tuesday to finish it! Wallace Well Farm was worth the wait and we have both agreed not to leave it so long next time.

Hilarious to note, that when you get chips to take away (which cost around £1.40 or £1.50 or something ridiculous) they actually spray on the vinegar which can only be designed to save pennies on vinegar every day. I don't know. I like the place, it's great, with good ice cream as well I should note, but I can't help but feel that the management are greedy. There used to be 3 or 4 Onesti's in Motherwell, now there are only 2, with this one being the most popular due largely to its location. Overall the quality of the food is good, the prices are reasonable and staff are attentive and friendly. My only issue with Mondo is that the quality can vary, and the vegetarian options are limited to 2 pizzas and one pasta (main courses). Since changing to Mondo I have visited twice and ordered the Penne Arriabiata each time. The first visit the sauce coated the pasta and was tasty with a slight heat. The second ( more recent visit) the sauce was too spicy ( in my opinion) which killed the subtle flavour and as it was a drier consistency which did not coat the pasta. Friends and family members who have visited have liked the quality and despite my concerns I'd visit again.
