Came in for mom's birthday celebration, and Valentino's Eatery did not miss! From the service to the ambiance, this place is a gem in the town of Florence. The food is absolutely delicious, and I LOVE that it's a family owned business and has been for years. They make their salad dressing from scratch, and you can taste the quality in each dish. Not only are the portions plentiful, but they really do pack a flavorful punch! We we ordered: Caesar Salad Crab Cakes Valentino's Garlic Bread Chicken Piccata Veal Piccata Linguine & Clams Strawberry Lemon Drop Martini As you can see, everything was fire, right down to the martini! At the end of our meal, our server (omg, I forgot her name! **ugh!**) brought out mom's choice of dessert, the Dark Chocolate Torta. It was so rich and creamy. A yummy way to end dinner for sure! I highly suggest Valentino's if you are in the area. Parking isn't an issue, and they also offer outdoor dining in the cooler months. Pricing is reasonable for the quality of food. There aren't a lot of eateries in this area right now, so bookmark this place and go buck wild! Support this local small business. You'll be glad you did!

Im a long time customer of Valentinos but last 2 visits have not been good. Went n the day after Valentine's Day wanting some pasta. But, they had a V. Day menu AND NO PASTA ON THE MENU. Other than a side that was part of the entree. Wife wanted mussels and a salad. No salads on the menu but one comes with entrees. For +$2 it could be made an entre and get a salad with it. We did that but they still charged me $4.75 for a "side salad". They argued but did change it. The big problem was how long it took to get served. 40 minutes just to get salads. After 1 hour and 10 minutes, and server nowhere in sight. I talked to bartender and they brought it right out. We had a $200 gift card with $12 left on it and presented that with C. C. to bartender. When she came back, the computer said we had $200 and our meal was taken off leaving a balance of $130. I told her $12 was correct but she insisted we just keep it at $130 for all our troubles. A very generous compromise. Thank you.

The interior is very nice, cozy and romantic. I'd love to give a higher rating but the food in my opinion was only so-so. The bread was good, comes with butter and a (very) spicy tomato sauce/oil. The bar was extremely slow on getting drinks for some of the group (my hubby ordered a drink when we first got seated and last to get a drink which was after some got their food!). The traditional margarita was only so-so, the blood orange margarita was pretty good and the Milano margarita was only okay. The bar staff seemed a bit novice, but the service was nice/pleasant, just not on top of it. Our food did come out all correct and again our server was extremely pleasant. I ordered a chicken cacciatore, which I thought was only so-so. It just lacked flavor (despite having mushrooms, onions and peppers). The house salad was fine, the balsamic dressing was disappointing (just tasted like oil). Others got Chicken Parm (I didn't try but my sister likes), Stuffed Shells (okay), and Baked Fish (pretty good). I would not recommend upgrading to the Caesar salad (I tried it and it was flavorless, does it need more cheese???). I think this is an okay option for the area but I'm not necessarily in any hurry to return soon.

First visit. Everything was good! The owner came out to check on the tables and was a very nice guy. Our server was fantastic. Our son loved the minestrone soup! Spaghetti and meatballs were amazing. Excellent ravioli. The bread was so good, we asked for more! Love seeing local places like this doing such a great job. We will be back.

Friendly staff, and good food. Would recommend. It's a little dark in there for my liking, but it definitely won't stop me from going back.

Great food but if your claustrophobic I don't recommend dining in. It's a smaller space. All the staff was friendly.

In this Saturday afternoon my mother-in-law just got back from her trip to Greece. Normally someone would just sleep this day away, but she arrived rejuvenated. Let's go to Windmill Winery she insisted. Who was I to disagree?. We arrived on a lovely Saturday afternoon and had a quick walk around. The birds strategically placed all around the grounds was a nice touch. The koy feeding pound was nice with its running water providing some soothing ambient noise. We order a couple of bottles of wine and a couple of charcuterie boards. The options on the boards were very nice. The disappointing part is that it wasn't on a board. It came in a Styrofoam box. While not a big deal, it did take away from the ambiance and winery feel. Sorry, I don't remember the exact names of the bottles but I will do my best to distinguish them. Also... I'm a bit of a wine snob, but know nothing about wine. I just know what I like. I will start with the Pinot Grigio that's made at this winery. It had a bit of a sweet tinge to it. Not overpowering but definitely hits you on the back end. It was ok, but I don't really care for a sweetness in most my wines. We also had another Pinot Grigio that was not made at that location. That was more to my liking, with a nice dry back to it and a bit of bitterness. We also had a sweet white. I remember this one because they didn't really qualify it a Syrah, Reisling, or Moscato. They compared to a Reisling but I feel it was more adjacent to a Syrah. It was berry forward. Not for me but my grandmother loved it. After the two bottles we drank by the glass. My wife and I stuck with the imported Pinot and my in-law la stuck with the Syrah adjacent. We also ordered one of their flat bread pizzas. While it seemed as if they didn't really have much of a kitchen the pizza was a pleasant surprise. We really enjoyed it. As it got later in the afternoon people began to leave. We were among the last to start to leave, but as we were walking out you could see cars began to arrive and they were in the stages of setting up for an even event with a band. I will surely return for that. I love live music and pair with wine and food... well then you just stole my heart. Great place to visit.

Thursday evening and place is crowded with lots of local folks. Place is clearly a local favorite. Server was helpful and decided to order the pollo fundido. It is like a chimichanga, except the pieces are cut and topped a spicy jalapeno cream cheese sauce. I opted for two pieces with rice and beans. Salsa and complimentary chips were tasty. Went through those in about 20 minutes. Hmm, where is the food? Thinking, hey they are busy and maybe they are cooking this from scratch. Food shows up. The pollo fundido was just as described. The spicy cream cheese sauce was great. Only finished one, the other hopefully for lunch. Left most of the rice and beans. Overall a good choice for dinner. Will skip the rice and beans. Front end service for me was good. They add a 3.5 percent surcharge if using a credit card. Couple of other restaurants still on my list when visiting Florence.

Ambiance 5/5 Thats correct not atmosphere here it's 100% ambiance. Subdued lighting, table candlelight's, Service 10/5 Alyssa was our server tonight. Very friendly and welcoming. She had in depth knowledge the menu, specials, wines and pairings, and Sprites. She timed our courses perfectly which allowed us to enjoy starters, Salado which is a detail lost on many Resturant's today. The kitchen was magnifico tonight. Thank-you guys! Alyssa was all that and more, this is what table service should be like. Great job we will be asking for you again. Food 10/5 We ordered the zucchini which were served in a nice and little crisp batter. They were great. We ordered a salad which was large enough for sharing. The dressing was the perfect paring for all the wonderful ingredients. Entrees included an order of Egg plant parmigiana over pasta. Portions are generous. My entree was tonight's special, prime rib ragu also a generous portion. The prime rib was nicely incorporated in their linguine style pasta and with other fresh vegetables in a hearty an slightly sweet sauce like my own. This was a perfect recommendation by Alyssa thank- you I'd order this again. Desert was a large serving of crème brûlée. The topping was perfectly toasted giving it its crispy texture and smoky notes. Looking for an Italian date night or cozy chill and classy place to finish your day on a good note, Sam & Luca's Italian Bistro won't disappoint. Servizio come dovrebbe essere, cibo fantastico in un'atmosfera che si stabilizza. Magnifico! Eat well my friends-SYOY!
