First I want to say that the hostess at the front door was amazing, after that everything was not to par. Took 30 minutes to get a glass of wine and beer, not because our waitress didn't take the order right away but the bartender was so slow and everyone was complaining. Sometimes my wife and myself likes to take off and do whatever. Since we recently relocated to the east valley, we have a lot to explore. We ended up driving out to Coolidge, however since it was Sunday. Most od the businesses were closed. So we headed back home, and once we hit Anthem I remembered seeing a Italian restaurant when I was golfing at Poston Butte. Asked the wife if she was in the mood for Italian. The restaurant just opened(4:00pm). It was really nice inside. Little windy to eat outside, but a very nice outdoor seating. We tried the Hawaiian margarita. Like to try different ones, it was ok. Traditional Cadillac is still my favorite. The breads are amazing, garlic cheese sticks are great. I ordered the Genevieve w/angel hair. Their sausage is amazing. Wife had this combo platter. Spaghetti, lasagna, penne, and ravioli. These plates are large portions, lasted us for a couple more meals. Atmosphere was good, could have better music on. Service was great. We may have found our go to place for Italian. read more

This is our new favorite Italian restaurant! The food was excellent with very generous portions. I had the pasta combo, and my wife had a lobster and chicken special. Both were very fresh and tasted like they were made from scratch. The appetizers and salads were great and als very generous. The service was also outstanding. My wife and I recently moved to the area and were happy to find that there was an Italian restaurant near by. The menu looked amazing, so we gave it a try. Valentino's is a gem! The decor is pleasing, the service is great and the food is amazing! We started with the garlic bread app, which was very good and a huge portion. We shared Veal Parmigiana and Chicken Marinara. The Veal was tender, served with spaghetti and their delicious house sauce. The chicken marinara was served with the same great sauce and Valentino's home made ravioli. Every bit as good as the veal. We finished by splitting the coconut cream pie which was also amazing. Price seems like bargain for the food quality. At the end of dinner owner/chef Rob Barker came over and introduced himself, which was a nice touch. Definitely will be returning. read more

Husband suggested this place for dinner because we were looking for something new. We went around 6:45 on a Thursday and they were packed and for a good reason this place was awesome! Nice seating outside and inside it was dimly lit for a nice date date night. The service was great everyone worked together as a team. We ordered fried mozzarella, chicken park and chicken riggies. Five of us met here for lunch based on a recommendation from someone in the group. Valentino's has an Italian menu. Three of us ordered the shrimp scampi, which came in a bowl over angel hair pasta. It was very good, but I do wish restaurants would not serve the shrimp with the tail on. Two others had the baked fish. One ordered it gluten free (no bread crumb topping), someone else made a change, and the restaurant was very accommodating to these special requests. The service was excellent. While we were only one of two tables seated at noon, we watched many delivery couriers come in to pick up to go orders. Our server told us about a contest the restaurant won and, due to the prize, was offering everything on the menu half off the following night. I had to smile when three of us showed up with other friends or hubbies the next night. I ordered the pasta combo, which came with lasagna, cheese ravioli, spaghetti, and penne with sausage and meatballs. It was delicious, but the sausage was super good. Since it was more than plenty of food, we ordered dessert to go -- "mile high" cheesecake with berry sauce. Very, very good cheesecake. We asked our server how this small family-owned restaurant was doing during the Covid mess, and she said better than ever, mostly through to-go orders. read more

Don't eat at Valentinos. They brought bread with mold to my table. I didn't notice till I had eaten several pieces. They took the bread and didn't bring fresh bread, In addition, they didn't take anything off the bill. The food was far from fresh. We are a local family and we patronize many local businesses. The food is so so. One time it's good and the next time not so great. The main complaint we have is too much salt in all the sauces. We go to Valentino's twice a year when visiting San Tan Valley. We dined on Friday, December 22. There were three of us, two dinners were OK, but mine was a disaster. We all had Caesar salad, they were all made at the same time, but my salad had all the cheese, and it was a mess. My entree was chicken, Marcella, the chicken was tender. but the sauce was very weak. We ate there last night. The food was less than fantastic. My son had the Pasta Giovanni and he said it tasted microwaved. My mom had fish and all she ate was the crust because she said the fish tasted bad. I had a salad, if that is what you want to call it. Greens, dry chicken and lots of cranberries with a small amount red onion. Dressing was on the side and mainly oil. I also ordered a side of eggplant parmesan. It came in a bowl...a bowl of mush that I took one bite and said no way. It was not busy when we arrived, bit the wait staff was slow...I wish that I had refused to pay for this...at on of it it was my pick and my mom's 90th birthday and I didn't want to create a scene, because it strangley got busy...I will never know why. We drove the 40 min to the restaurant and went to walk in and there was a sign on door saying they are on vacation. Why did they let me make a res if they were going to be closed? Why didn't any one call me and let me know? we've been to this restaurant many times and it's okay. It's been 2 years since our last visit and went by tonight. The outside patio was totally open and tables set. We went in and requested to sit outside. The young hostess said she wasn't sure if anyone was serving out there. I told her we'd prefer the patio if not we'd head over to the Poston Grill,.....she said okay. UGH!! Staffing has always been an issue here, they lost business tonight. I'm totally a foodie! Italian food is my favorite. Valentino's is the best authentic eatery in the state of Arizona! Rob, owner and chef is a expert at making delicious entrées for his customers. Very good food & excellent service. I think they need to get a bigger place, though, for more diners. That's a compliment, for them, because they're good. My husband & I ordered two different dishes & they were both really good & large servings to boot! We enjoyed the leftovers! Valentino's has been one of our favorite place to go over the last 10 years however on my husbands 80th birthday, hoping to celebrate with terrific food, we were a bit disappointed. Let me start with the salad. It appears it was premade and set for quite a few hours as the greens were all wilted, and the tomato was shriveled, crusted, and dried out. So much so I couldn't eat it. The meatballs served as protein with the ravioli protein, tasted mealy as if they were bought bought frozen and ore packaged, not made fresh in house. As for the service, you can't beat Valentino's, it's spot on. I love their reverse osmosis water, can't get that in many places. But please, Valentinos go back to your freshly made salads and in-house preparation for all proteins. read more
