I've been on a never ending search for good pizza lately. Ordered a cheese pizza with basil. Sadly they were out of basil. Friendly service - follow-up to let us know when the food was coming out as there were some large orders ahead of us - like a 28" pizza which was fun to see being picked up for take out in a box that almost couldn't fit through the door! We saw another family also ordered a very large family-size pizza. They had a steady business arriving around dinner time. We ordered a Big Bite sub and a small 12" mushroom pizza. The pizza alone was definitely large enough to feed 2 as their menu stated - the sizes are larger. The sub looked amazing on a homemade bread roll - I forgot to take a photo as I was digging into the pizza. The pizza was terrific - no flop and a nice crispy crust. The sauce had an oregano flavor which I like as I usually sprinkle more oregano but this was perfect. The mushrooms were fresh and not canned. Eating at this restuarant is a hit and miss. I bought their Alfredo and it was awful. Uneatable... too salty and the sauce was thick, clumpy and starchy. after waiting 30 minutes for a slice of cheese pizza that I asked to be cooked well done came out and I picked it up and all the cheese fell right off the pizza so I brought it back in and told them I waited 30 minutes for this slice of pizza and I asked for it to be well done so the cheese fall off the pizza. Went with the wife for a improv date night, we ordered chicken wings and half sheet of pizza. Pizza is more than enough for 2 people, it should feed 4 people easily! The wings were good and the sauce was spot on, just wish they came out a bit crispier, but over all great experience. read more

My husband got the chef salad special which was giant and loaded with protein and fresh veggies; I got the fettuccine Alfredo dinner which has dinner salad too which I order with Italian dressing which makes a marinaded salad; yum! The bread is made fresh and boyyyyyy is it good! The sandwich came out nice and not! The bread was so soft and delicious. I ate the sandwich so quickly despite it being hot because it was just that tasty. Now my favorite sandwich spot in the area. Stopped here after a visit to Florence and really loved the food and the service. It was a busy night so they gave us a warning right away that the food would take longer than normal. The locals or locos will say that this place is hit or miss. I've not been twice and both times were a hit. Melissa, who's moving on to bigger and better things for her life, is one of the best servers that I've ever had in my traveling. This is a family owned and operated business. These types of business are the life blood of small towns. The locals should be thankful for such a place. It's kinda like Cheers, where everyone knows everyone. As an outsider, I was welcomed in. That's saying something! It's a pizza joint, with hints of Italian culinary that hit the spot both times that I've visited. It's like you're family the instant that you walk in. There's big tables for a big get together. Tonight, there was a get together that had probably 20 people all sitting at the "same" table. I loved seeing it. The food is great, but really what makes this place is the service. The prices are very reasonable for the amount and quality of food that you get delivered to your table. One of the very few restaurants in Florence, so there's no need to really try. I have unfortunately had to dine here numerous times due to its proximity to work. The people are nice so I hate to leave a bad reviews, but I've had multiple dishes from pizza rolls burgers to salads etc, and it's all bad. It's not the worst you'll ever have and it's not going to kill you or anything, but none of it tastes good. Go elsewhere. read more

So I come here quite often when I'm visiting family in town. Normally we have a great experience here good food and service. Tonight was the exception they was a large family in the main area. Normally no biggie however they allowed their child to continue to yell and scream. We asked staff to intervene so we could enjoy our meal. They refused to speak to them and allowed it to continue. They found it acceptable even though we are repeat customers and they didn't care if they lost our business. This isn't acceptable in anyway shape or form. They should have spoken to the family in this situation we couldn't believe the staff isn't trained properly to handle this so everyone can enjoy their meals and have a pleasant experience. As you look at the percentage of reviews and you see that a place like this has 1/2 bad and 1/2 good, ask yourself why that might be. This place suffers from an arrogant and obnoxious owner who could care less about the customers. I was told that in this Friday evening that it's busy. It will be 50 minutes for my pizza to be ready. I got a text 15 minutes later that my pizza was ready. 35 minutes before it was supposed to be. I don't call and come and get an old pizza. I spoke to the uncaring pizza maker/manager and he said, hey it's an estimate. Too bad. Reading the other reviews you can clearly see that the attitude is the downfall of this average restaurant. Why waste your money and efforts to come to A&M? 50% of the reviews are very strongly against the way that these folks do business. Read into that. Imagine on a Friday at 7 pm and the place had 4 tables. I asked the owner if he reads his reviews and his answers were the last 5 were good. He knows his business is terrible and he doesn't care. Got home and found the most disagreeable and poorly made pie I have ever had. 1/2 all meat was just few pieces of pepparoni and the other 1./2 half had no mushrooms and the olives were all glommed onto 2 slices. Went out here since there wasn't much option in the area. When I came here they seem to be flustered since they were busy. I ordered a to go eggplant Parmesan sub sandwich. I was waiting and waiting and finally, 30 minutes had passed and I still haven't had my order so I had to go to the front and check. They had a technical error where my order's ticket did not get sent to the kitchen. I was just super hungry after a long days work and I wish they could've handled the situation more graciously. Called up around 6:40pm on a Saturday Night. I know it was gonna be busy so I was prepared for that since it is worth the wait. Who ever they had at the front tonight was horrible. She picks up the phone says hello A&M hold on then puts the phone down. So I am expecting that once she is done with people there she will come back. Instead I sit there for nearly 10 minutes hear her talking with others walking around. Complaining that she talked to someone else that called 12 times, which I can see why with how she is answering the phone, then just hang up the phone on me. So I call back and do the same thing. This time I am again waiting 10 minutes only this time I am not hearing any talking just people working in the kitchen. So clearly they need to have a talking to with this person. I have been going to these guys for near on 15 years now and never had this much of a problem with them. read more

We saw a lot of cars, so decided to try this place. Love the menu - lots of options for sandwiches, subs, calzones, pasta, Stromboli's and salads in addition to pizza. Great daily specials. Prices are a little high overall, but you do get a lot of food. We also received great service. I didn't get the lady's name, but she was nice and very helpful. We ordered small salads (they are huge!), which were decent, and come with fresh bread. We also ordered two personal pizzas, which were 6 fairly big pieces. Way more food than 3 people could eat. So lots to take home. The pizzas were okay. My niece had the Hawaiian, and loved it. I had the Big Apple, which was loaded with meats and veggies. Quite frankly - too loaded, so the center dough was soggy. But, it was still a good pizza. Here's one major turn-off though. The bathrooms were not at all clean. I'm not a neat-freak at all, and I was surprised at how funky the sink was. I spent a few minutes cleaning it up, when I realized how dumb that was. My husband said the men's room was so awful, that if he had gone in there before we ate, he would have walked out of the restaurant. How can Management ignore the lack of attention to the bathrooms? That's just basic good hygiene, people. I really want to go back and try other menu items, but not until they take care of those bathrooms! read more

I just moved into this small town week ago & was looking for local night time eateries. I dig good Italian food and found this place on dark road heading outside of town. Thankfully they were open at 9pm! I was greeted by a nice young lady who took my pizza order: small pie with mushrooms, sausage & pepperoni, cooked well done with a side of fried mushrooms.
