Pepperoni Pizza

Fantastic service and even better pizza. The overall vibe of the restaurant is great. We had such a relaxing time and the pizza took a little bit to come out, but it was well worth it. I would definitely come back here in a heart beat. The staff is friendly and allows customers to bring their dogs on a leash, into the restaurant.

WOW! Yummiest pizza I've had since Italy. This pizza truck with a brick oven was the coolest thing ever right next to Lanikai Brewing Co. Have a pizza, enjoy a drink, and you have to try the cinnamon bites! I will definitely be coming back! The Bee's Knees pizza is a must try!

(Dined 09/20/22 TU @ 4:30pm): Whether my pizza came from a truck or a trailer... it's all semantics, right!? I was at Lanikai Brewing Co. tasting some beers when I learned that they had a partnership of sorts with Valentina's Brick Oven Pizza Food Truck (trailer was probably more appropriate) as their in-house food option. Unaware whether or not they allowed outside food, and I was already settled in, I figured why not grab some grindz from this establishment. As was commonplace back on the mainland, most breweries had daily food trucks to feed beer-guzzling patrons, and I always loved trying new trucks. Would they be a perfect fit for the brewery!? QUICK BIO "Conveniently located behind Lanikai Brewing Co., their brick oven pizza is made with love. Their dough is hand-made using 4 simple ingredients - flour, water, salt and yeast. Hand-stretched to order and baked in their brick oven using local Kiawe firewood. They use local produce whenever possible!" PURCHASE 11" Suprema Pizza ($20.00): Made with tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, Ezzo pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami, kalamata olives, keiki mushrooms, and red onions all laid out on a crispy slight airy crust, this pizza hot all the rights spots on my taste buds and in my belly! Be careful because it was extremely hot once it arrived at your table, but once it cooled down a bit and the potential for the roof of your mouth has dissipated, I dove right in and quickly ate two slices. There were plenty of toppings; however, I couldn't detect the distinct flavor of kalamata olives. No worries, the pizza did its job as I resoundingly polished off all six slices as they helped to soak up all the beer, cider, and hard seltzer - bravo https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=ziRZBKvo7PI4dF_J8jrRsA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! SERVICE Rather than the actual food trailer, I placed my order with a brewery staff member (and made payment the same way) who handed me a menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=grd-I-1mWbh2C_Vhk9v9Zg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, and about ten minutes later my pizza came out piping hot with a lovely aroma. I didn't recall any condiments such as parmesan cheese or chili flakes which was fine since the pie stood on its own. Once I polished off my dinner, the tray was cleared away as were any empty glasses. Things were straightforward, but I honestly would've liked to have dealt directly with my meal supply. PARKING (FREE) Being a food truck, they were at the beck and call wherever they were serving food. In this case, they were the in-house restaurant of Lanikai Brewing Co. brewery. I couldn't recall any onsite parking. However, I found a spot along the main drag of Hamakua Dr. as well as surrounding side streets (please read any posted signs)! Another option was to hire a driving service like a taxi, Lyft, or Uber. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Because I never saw the actual vehicle where my food was coming from, I honestly had no comments whatsoever here. I couldn't say with authority whether or not it was your standard self-sufficient food truck with an exterior menu, order and pick up windows, an area for condiments, napkins, and utensils, etc.. I imagined natural lighting was prevalent during the daytime while your guess was as good as mine about the situation at night. The same went for any TVs or background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I enjoyed my meal from Valentina's Brick Oven Food Truck and would consider them again whether at Lanikai Brewing Co. or if they were able to venture offsite. The quality was first-rate, the menu limited but varied enough with pizzas, pupus, salads, and sandwiches, the prices comparable within the food truck industry, and the service straightforward. Nothing earth-shattering here, so don't expect much more. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $20.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they (the brewery in this case) accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Mac Daddy and Suprema

Fantastic pizza to go! The beaches in Kailua are so beautiful you do not want to kill time sitting and eating somewhere. With that being said. Valentina's Pizza in conjunction with Lanikai Brewing Company is a great option because you can get pizza to go to bring with you on the beach or you can dine in. We got the Mac Daddy and Suprema. Both fantastic. Thank you VP!!

Dude. I cannot articulate how outta control dank this spot is!!! I'm dreaming about coming back to the island for it. We placed our order directly with the guys at the truck. They gave us a wait time of 45 minutes....I'd wait two days for the hot honey, pesto, pepperoni deliciousness at this joint. Pizza oven in a food truck... wild!

Great place to eat but the wait was ridiculous we waited about 15 minutes for our food. I would say come here when your about to be hungry or else you might start getting hangry. The food was good I had the miss piggy sandwich which was is Kalua Pulled Pork, Mozzarella, Jalapeño, BBQ Sauce, Pickled Onions, greens and Lilikoi supper good and would definitely recommend it. And the salad was the Insalata also really good.

If you love thin crust pizza this is the spot! I usually love thin crust, but this was the first time I had a pizza and thought the crust was too thin lol. The pizzas are cooked in a brick oven and the outer crust is perfectly crispy, light and chewy. The pepperoni is good but I wish they put more cheese. They make it very traditional with spots of mozzarella, but the spots that had no cheese weren't as good...we need cheeese! Even though they are in a parking lot in a food truck you have to order online or in the building next door at the bar. A little inconvenient but it works I guess. Was it good? Yes. Would I come back? No, if I lived close by maybe!

Wood-fired pizza. So good! This is The Cured for $14.
Stacy S.

I can't believe I'm only the 3rd person to review this awesome pizza food truck! They are conveniently located in the parking lot of Lanikai Brewing Company in Kailua, so as you're sipping your beer, you can order a fabulous pizza to go along with it! The food truck has a legit wood-fired pizza oven. I ordered "The Cured" for $14, and it came with tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni and basil. The pizza is approximately 8 slices and I ate the WHOLE pie by myself! Oink oink! The crust was perfect! Not too thin, but thick enough so that the ingredients don't slide off when you pick up a slice. All of the ingredients are super fresh and the pizza comes out hot as they're made to order. In addition to The Cured, they have about 6 other pizza variations to choose from. They make their dough fresh every day and their prices are on par with other gourmet pizza places. They also offer a couple of pupus, salads and sandwiches on their menu. I would highly recommend their pizza and I can't wait to return in the near future!

The Supreme Pizza
C G.

It's a food truck in the Lanikai Brewing Co. parking lot. You can sit inside and order a pizza or order a pizza from the truck. The pizza was flavorful, the crust was thin yet the edges were crunchy and chewy, straight out of the brick pizza oven! Sooo good! I can't stop thinking about how amazing the pizza was. Definitely don't sleep on this pizza truck just because the reviews aren't in the hundreds.

Of course, the price here in Hawaii is $10.99, but that's still a pretty good special. I used the app and got a pan crust large, with Italian sausage, onions, mushrooms, and extra cheese, along with couple of dipping sauces. The pizza is ready pretty quickly, I just wish the service at this location was, as well. The place is clean, and they have tables for dining, but it really looks like the majority of their business is takeout and delivery. They have 3 large video screens over the front counter, but none of them were on. I think they normally would display food products or food orders in the queue. I stood at the counter for over 5 minutes, while the 2 employed that I could see, just went along doing their business (one was cooking, while the other was prepping for a delivery), and never even acknowled me. The delivery guy walked by me twice without even looking at me. Finally, a third person came out of the back and came up to the counter to ask me if I was picking up an order. I gave him my name and he checked the warming tray at the front and grabbed my pizza (it had been ready for a while). At that point, I was out in less than a minute. I understand that they are probably sort-staffed, but any quick acknowledgement when I walk in would be nice. I know they need to do their job, but isn't serving the customer who's right in front of you, a priority? The pizza was good, anyway.

When inquired about status all I got was 'We are short handed today" Frustrated, I advised I didn't want excuses, I wanted my already paid for pizza. Interesting to me how they take your money fast enough but don't provide minimal service. They don't reduce the price when service is poor. They should consider stop taking orders to provide service customers are paying for. If minimal service cannot be provided perhaps they should not be open for business.

I placed an order and watched the tracker, only to see it suddenly switch to a third-party (DoorDash). When I tried calling, no one answered, and by the time I could have gone in person, the store was already closed. It's now been three days and I still haven't received a refund. Pizza in my opinion is something of a simple art and less of a fussy creation. Really good pizza…read moredoesn't need truffle oil or kobe beef, because it can lean on its simple quality of ingredients to pull in consumers, instead of wow them with trendy toppings. In my life, I have come across a handful of such standouts in crazy places such as France and Connecticut, and I can now confidently add to that list Hawaii. My husband and I found Fire Dance Pizza at our local farmers market on Sundays in Kailua, when the smell of sourdough wafted through the air around some fresh poi and produce. We bought a pizza, thinking nothing of it, and sat down to eat. Like the movie Ratatouille, each ingredient was like a musical instrument and the bites were like a song. This was not just pizza, this was something magical. The owners and operators start with a naturally fermented yeast dough, throw it into a super hot brick oven, and top its chewy goodness with freshly blistered cherry tomatoes, evoo, crushed garlic, and mozzarella, or goat cheese, and other simple but delicious items. Don't be thinking you're going to get stuffed crust, ranch dip, and canned olives, all these ingredients are fresh. After a few weekends of coming here every Sunday for what we have deemed our "breakfast pizza," we have made our decision that this is the perfect way to routinely celebrate the weekend. Prices are fair, between $12-16 per pizza, which is enough for the two of us to split, or one very hungry surfer. Talks of opening up a brick and mortar restaurant are in the works, and when that happens, you know we'll be there. With pizza like this available, you won't see me getting excited about pizza anywhere else on the island.

The taste was amazing and unlike any pizza I've had before. I'm not sure what it was (the seasoning, maybe?) but I loved it!
