The usual donut place I go to on the way work has been closed for a week, so I decided to try something new. The one thing I liked about this place was that the service was quick and fast. I didn't have to wait in line to get some donuts like I usually do at the other places. Also a dozen donut holes were only a $1! I thought that was a great deal as well. I was in and out of their in less than 5 minutes. Now to the donuts. They didn't taste as fresh and were pretty cold. Like they had been sitting out for a while. When I got to work and warmed them up they still didn't taste any better. Maybe it was just today but I think I'll be sticking to my other donut shop. read more

The sausage and bacon croissant was pretty great. But overall I wasn't very impressed. I did not get what I ordered- the owner forgot my donuts so I wasn't able to try those. I was the only customer there and they opened about 15 minutes prior so I'm not sure why my food was forgotten. The donuts I did get to try were the donut holes and they were fine.. overall just normal. It was disappointing that the owner of this business didn't pay attention to my order or notice she forgot after I paid and made a cup of coffee before leaving. I called to let them know I didn't get everything and she was kind about it and offered to give me the donuts "free of charge" and said she didn't charge me for the ones I didn't get, but I'm not sure because I didn't get a receipt nor was I offered one after I paid. I will take her word for it. But as I mentioned, to me this place is not worth another trip to try again All in all, the next time I have a donut craving I will try elsewhere. This place has potential and I wish them success, but unfortunately it didn't impress me enough to make me want more. read more

Fantastic service and top quality fare! I got in and got in under 3 minutes. They had all I wanted and plenty of it. Parking was perfectly fine as would be expected for regular humans. I love Vail donuts! It's sad that part of the reason I was bummed about moving away from this area meant moving away from the donut shop, but it's totally true. I usually hit donut shops later in the morning on weekends, which can lead to hit or miss results. I have never had a problem here! I can almost always find what I want, and everyone is so nice. Even after I moved to the north ass end of carrollton, I totally still drove down here from time to time for some donuts. It's true. I've also never had a problem parking, as the other reviewer mentioned, but maybe it's because I get there a bit late. Though, I do usually get there when the later church crowd gets there, so I don't know. Anyway, I totally recommend Vail donuts! It's all about personal taste. The food is yummy at a good price! The space is clean, there's a good variety, and the staff was very nice. I went at 11am on a Wednesday, so their case wasn't full, but i can definitely understand why. I just appreciate that they are open until noon on weekdays! I got a dozen donut holes, a cinnamon twist, a jalapeño sausage roll, and a regular sausage roll. It was just under $5 before I tipped. The donuts are soft with a thin glaze, which is what I prefer. The sausage rolls were good, very soft dough. I really like that you can get them without cheese. They had other varieties as well. Summary: these aren't life changing or the best donuts/sausages you've ever had. But they are very yummy at a fantastic price with great service. I would definitely go back! read more
