This review is for the cocktail menu! I went to Vagabond for happy hour and really enjoyed their drinks. The margarita was delicious and classic. I also tried the Lagundri Bay, which had brown butter, dark chocolate, and gouda foam. It was a really fun drink and I'd never had those flavors in a drink before! I would get them again and try more of their creative cocktails in the future. The chicken sliders are also really tasty! I would come back for their happy hour again. Staff was friendly, the space is really nice, and they have a great rooftop.

Great food and drinks! Loved the food options here--went with a skewer and two sides. The shrimp and pineapple were perfectly cooked, while the coconut rice and bok choy were the perfect accompaniments! We tried allll the drinks, and my favorite was the Sultans--reminded me of key lime pie in all of the best ways! The ambiance of the patio isn't as great as the rooftop or inside, but still nice to sit outside on a Saturday evening. Service was good as well.

I had such a great time here! I went to happy hour on the rooftop with my friend. The decor both inside and out is so cute and aesthetic. There are green tiles as you walk up the stairs, the rooftop bar is bright and airy, and the bartenders are so nice. I had the white sangria and birria tacos for happy hour. FYI the tacos are very very small so definitely get two or more. Flavor was delicious. The white sangria had a nice tartness to it.

Loved this place for a casual weeknight dinner. Like others, the ambiance made me feel like I was definitely on vacation but in a lofi lounge-meets Tulum way. Service: our server was super friendly and made great suggestions for dishes to try. Menu- It is a mix of international flavors. We ordered the quesobirria as a starter which was delicious. It was a chilly night, so I opted for the Portuguese fish stew. It was a generous serving filled with shrimp, scallops, white fish and potatoes and came with both toasted bread and rice. My husband chose a make your own skewer plate combo- chicken skewers, rice and beans and pineapple fried rice. He was super happy with the portion size and the flavors. Our teen daughter selected the Hawaiian sliders and fries. She is not an adventurous eater, but liked it a great deal and told us she wants to eat here again. Decor: it is a modern surf shack meets boho chic vibe. It's pretty and laidback with a rooftop bar and intimate dining room. I peeked into the subterranean DJ bar which looks like it could be a lot of fun. We are adding Vagabond into our "neighborhood favorites" list and can't wait to go back to try more items on the menu.

I can't WAIT to go back! First the ambiance gave beachy/ vacay vibes! It was an experience that made you feel like you weren't in Washington, DC! I love that they used real flowers on the table settings and the restaurant was clean. The staff were sweet! Our waitress was holding down the downstairs and outdoor section with grace and ease. She smiled and made sure we were ok. We ordered everything on the happy hour menu. And some things we ordered more than once! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the Pernil tacos (only because the pulled pork was so dry)! Other than that, I could lick the plate for each dish! The star of the show was the green sauce that accompanied the yuca fries. I put it on every dish. The burgerrrrrrrrr... so juicy. The chef pays attention to flavor detail and really does a great job. Top favorite was the fries, burger, birria taco, corn esquites and the chicken sandwich. Can't wait to go back!

Tried out a new brunch spot for President's Day weekend today. Found this cute spot right across from Lauriol Plaza that had bottomless brunch. This is a small but cute multi-level venue with a rooftop. They offer bottomless brunch which is 1 brunch entree and bottomless cocktails for $48. The food menu is limited but they have a variety of brunch cocktails which include mimoas (classic, guava and passionfruit), martinis and cocktails. It was busy and service was pretty quick. We received great recommendations from the server and everything arrived warm.

Quick take: nice brunch spot Service was super friendly and fast. We sat outside for brunch. I didn't know there were mosquitoes until the next table said there are mosquitoes. Brunch would have been more pleasant if we ate indoors. The avocado toast was really good. Definitely a recommended item on the menu.

Came here for brunch and what an adorable place! It's themed in a very beach fashion and is the perfect place for brunch with your friends on the weekend. They have unlimited brunch drinks and an entree for 44 dollars. We started off with their nata which is a Portuguese pastry that was to die for! Ended up having their donuts too (which were like beignets) and they were just as wonderful. Our entrees were the surfer burrito and the chilaquiles. Just for the spicy lovers please nothat nothing here is spicy. Ask for additional hot sauce for that. The chilaquiles was our favorite of the two as it had more flavor overall. Our drinks were tasty (we had the sangria and the punch). The punch was our favorite. We walked here and are from out of town so cannot comment on the parking. Service was solid.

The food was great, we were set up with the best table in the house and the staff brought out a birthday surprise for my niece. Which was above and beyond.

1st time here and we live 7 min walk away. Food was good flavor. It was so loud at 11:30am. And the food was all cold or barely warm. We ate it anyways. Coffee was even cold. It would of been awesome if the food was hot or at least warm hot

I recently added this to my "repeat list" for brunch. They have a great deal- bottomless drinks (1.5 hours) and an entree for $48. You can also choose from a variety of bottomless drinks also- mimosas, sangria, vagabond punch, espresso martini, Bloody Mary and/or michelada. I usually get the avo toast which comes with a sunny egg, greens and home fries. The service is great, the food is yummy, the drinks are bottomless, and it comes at an amazing price. All things you need for a great brunch!

Chilaquiles

Really cozy atmosphere with nice interior design. Unfortunately the chilaquiles were super burnt. Chicken sausages were weird too. Otherwise decent enough

It was exactly the kind of over-the-top bar food that works after a couple drinks. The atmosphere is really what makes the place. It was busy and energetic without feeling like a club, and we could still sit, have a drink, and actually talk. Cool spot for cocktails, snacks, and hanging out for a while. The drink was perfectly sweet and a good intro to bourbon, which I typically don't drink. I can't remember the second drink I got but it was equally delicious. I will note my friend was not a fan of her dirty martini. Overall great experiences.

Cocktails have become trendy and mostly a lazy combination of a spirit, simple syrup and a fancy-sounding ingredient. Not here. Each combination is crafted and tastes delicious. One sign of a good cocktail to me is that it has balanced flavors that somehow combine well together to create complexity that works. It did here. Our bartender was knowledgeable and guided me well after I shared my preferred spirit and flavor profile. The martini I had was off-menu and well prepared. Nostalgia for days of yore when only a handful of places in NYC were known for "cocktails" - not every happy hour menu in town. We did get the happy hour pricing ($12/drink) and yes, 20% gratuity was included. The service was stellar so I would've done that anyways and had no problem with it being mandatory. I will add - someone complained about the incense smells and when I first walked in, it did smell odd. Over time, I saw our bartender switch it out and the second fragrance was more inviting.

Our server was new and very helpful. The space is tight in there so walking back to our table was a bit of a challenge trying not to hit someone while they were taking a drink, but the energy is high and lively! We ordered cocktails to start, and there were so many interesting choices that it was a difficult choice. We all thought we got the best one! Every dish was fresh, flavorful and fire! The scallion lamb was tender and savory. The crab fried rice was total comfort food and I could eat this every day! All those flavors! The dish that stole the show; however, was the eggplant! Wow! What a wonderful surprise. Hot, fresh and full of flavor, the eggplant was perfectly cooked and we couldn't stop talking about it long after we left!

Advice: sitting outside might be better in the cooler weather because we were being eaten alive by mosquitoes and fighting off flies. I really hope that they consider some type of nature oils near the tables to help guests feel more comfortable outdoors. Also, it would help to get more than one fan. Hospitality: aside from the bugs encounter, I would say that we did not have reservations (they were packed inside) so the hostess was nice enough to accommodate us outdoor. Our waiter, Anthony was a ball of energy and he really understands the dishes and was able to give great recommendations, some of which we plan to try on our next visit. Portions: the dishes are shareable so we only ordered the beef noodles and walnut shrimp and both were more than enough for a party of 2. DRINKS: I ordered the dark and stormy which can best be described as not too sweet and perfect for anyone desiring a well balanced drink. The bourbon smash was also really good. Well balanced with a smoky flavor which I loved. FOOD: Beef noodles- gosh this was so divine! Be warned however, there is a bit of spice to it but nothing that you won't be able to handle. I think the spices paired with the preparation of the noodles and the beef all made this dish memorable. Walnut shrimp- another memorable dish which came with a side of white rice. The shrimps were HUGE! But the flavors on each shrimp paired with that crunchy texture and creamy sauce, spectacular! Safe to say that we enjoyed both dishes and cannot wait to return and reserve indoor tables lol
