Known for its dipped soft serve ice cream and waffle cones. We selected the small dipped soft serve and single scoop Bailey's Iris Cream ice cream. The ice cream was delicious and flavorful. The soft serve was huge and had a creamy soft and fluffy texture. Not too sweet. The chocolate dip was on the thicker side and similar to Dairy Queen's chocolate taste, but with a thicker coating. Our server spoke and understood enough English to make the transaction simple and fast. There was a line going in and they handled the orders smoothly and quickly. The æbleskivers were warm but they lacked flavor and we've had better elsewhere. They also keep the door open so it was quite cold inside. There was no WiFi either. While I should have indulged in a waffle to complement the ice cream, I opted for two scoops of their limited selection of flavors instead. 2 scoops of ice cream (45kr = $6.48) - I chose pistachio and banana/chocolate in a cup. The consistency of the ice cream was smooth, however the pistachio was completely devoid of flavor. Surprisingly the banana/chocolate tasted pretty good and had a very strong banana flavor as well as hints of chocolate. Overall, Vaffelbageren's ice cream selection is limited and unimpressive. The prices are high for what you get, and the selection of flavors is underwhelming. This tourist trap is best avoided, as there are better ice cream options available elsewhere. We were only in CPH for a week and we already went there twice (yes, I ordered the licorice ice cream with freshly made Belgium waffles both times because I was obsessed). I ordered a simple Belgian Waffle with sugar on top and while it didn't live up entirely to my childhood memories it was still worth the stop. They used to make them fresh when you ordered one, but now it's just reheated. I love the slightly crunchy, caramelized exterior in contrast with the soft, doughy inside.
