Breakfast steak burrito
Bill Y.

I stopped in here and it was a very bright cute place and very Florida. It was an old gas station converted into a restaurant. I ordered a steak breakfast burrito and it was delicious. There was an upcharge for onions and peppers but worth it. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I do wish that they served breakfast later than 11:30 for us lazy risers. Will definitely be heading back.

A great little spot! Unique menu but something for everyone. Food was extremely flavorful! When ordering the smash burger it was recommended double patty, so that's exactly what I did! Super friendly staff. Dining available both inside and out. Will most definitely return!

Had a delicious lunch with my man at V9 EATS today! We the Schnitzel sandwich had a super soft bun with homemade pickles and pickled onions. The Loaded Tater Tots were the bomb! Served with homemade chili, bacon, cheese, onions, and jalapeños, we dipped it in their homemade ranch which was amazing! The Chicken Wings were perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Everything was delicious!!

Spicy Jerk Chicken

A quirky repurposed gas station and garage. Everyone was so happy with their choices. Jerk chicken was moist and tater tots were crispy. Po Boy- perfectly cooked shrimp and the sauce was different. Fried okra nice and crispy. We had a few visits from the owner and he talked me into trying a sauce, it was awesome. Waitress didn't stifle, very sweet. Eclectic decoration and those old bay doors were fun.

To start things off, I've been driving by this place for the past (3) years and not really gave it much thought...then I got on YELP and read the reviews, I need to try this place out. Out for a Saturday afternoon drive and was thinking of a place to go. Drove past several roadside BBQ vendors but just not what I wanted although I will give those a try one day. Then I said to my self, "Self, lets go to V9 and get a burger". And I was on my way. Pulled in the rear parking area and took a look around, was not expecting what I was about see inside. Entered threw the 58th street side door and wow, first time here, it's got the atmosphere for sure. And plenty of seating. Ordered the Angus Smash Burger with cheese and fries...Sprite to drink. Friendly fast service...not a long wait and my burger arrived. Put together correct too. Lettuce on the bottom to keep the bun from getting soggy. (See my review on PeppaJaks). If I have to compare the burger to a chain it would have to be Culvers. However the fries are better, perhaps one the best I have had. This place is just few short blocks from my house and now my go to place for a burger and atmosphere. Looking forward to trying the steak and cheese. Don't drive by this place again without giving it a try, you won't regret it. Peace.

I was craving a really good burger and tots and this place was pretty close and I hadn't tried it yet so I figured why not! The burger was okay... I prefer a juicier burger but not a bad choice if you don't have many options. Service was a bit odd, but I let it go since it was a to go order. Tots were on point - I love crispy tots!! Ambiance is super casual. I love the set up and the building.

The food was good, but I think it's tacky as hell to put a service charge on to go orders. Coleslaw is good , but kinda dry

Well-versed on the menu and a very pleasant lady. It's certainly not a fancy place and it looks like it's been around for a while, but it's the kind of place where you might like to hang out at the bar. Everyone there seems to be friendly and you get that comfortable feeling. We had a variety of food items, some better than others but nothing below average. Really good salads, as you can see by the pictures, a nice job on the chicken wings, a BLT that was pretty tasty; the butternut squash soup was OK, pretty thick and not hot at all. One was returned to the kitchen to be heated up. There was a chicken dip that really didn't hit the spot, and the tortilla chips that came with it seem to be past their prime. As for the fried mushrooms. I found them pretty much ordinary. A nice surprise were the brussels sprouts with balsamic and goat cheese. Really really good. Overall, I would give the food about a 3 1/2 stars at the service five stars so what averages out around four stars. Like I said it looks like a nice place to hang around and have a couple of beverages and a little something to eat.

Located in The Vinoy hotel, this spot is an experience from the beginning! A stunning bar dominates the space as you enter, complimented with a mix of art deco, modern, and lux finishes. Seating for every group size makes this perfect for a drink with a friend, dinner with the family, or a larger gathering! It surprisingly felt approachable, not ostentatious. Service was top notch throughout our dinner, providing an elevated experience from start to finish! Enjoyed the Early Retirement to drink, which was a slightly cherry/fruity version of an Old Fashioned. The Whipped Ricotta was my favorite dish: creamy, sweet, nutty perfection! The meatballs were tasty, yet failed to stand out as anything original. The Radiatore alla Vodka was delicious with perfectly al dente pasta and a rich sauce! The Lacquered Brick Chicken had the PERFECT sauce for those of you that love umami and I appreciated the mushrooms paired with the perfectly cooked chicken. Really great spot for a special occasion or elevated experience in the area!

We made this reservation 6 weeks ago for our friends birthday+graduation from medical school (we…read morenoted this on OpenTable). So our friend trio was very excited for this, considering the hype. We arrived, dressed to the max and the hostess confirmed that we were celebrating the two things and acknowledged it Also, one of us pulled her aside to ensure this would be celebrated. We were seated and all was well with our drinks and appetizer. The weirdness began when we were eating our appetizer. We told our waiter, Rolando, that we were going to take our time and eat and drink and asked politely to not be rushed. He acknowledged this but get it felt like that screwed us over. Because we then were rushed, constantly an employee coming asking if we were done with our apps and drinks. At least twice when we clearly were not. The waiter then came twice to get our entree order snd we told him we hadn't even looked. We finally rushed and just put our order in. When our meal came, they dropped everything off in the wrong order. Fine, no big deal. However we were again rushed and I counted FOUR times that we were asked if we were done. When we finally were, they kept coming back to get the crumbs and interrupting our conversation despite them already doing this once. We declined dessert. And then we were brought the check. No acknowledgment of the celebration for our friend despite the fact that we made it clear on OpenTable, confirmed with the hostess and told our waiter. Yet many tables around us received cards and/or little desserts. Literally the table next to us got champagne and a card for their anniversary. And another for a birthday acknowledgment. Then our waiter took 25 minutes to get us our checks back with our cards. Overall the food was good, not worth the 6 week wait and the experience was surely not up toy expectations. We spent a pretty penny and would have spent more had we not felt rushed and had our friends celebrations acknowledged.

This place demands attention from the moment you walk in. My wife opted for eggs and bacon, while I went for the cheeseburger. We also shared a French toast, which proved to be the standout dish. Great experience with a twist!…read more Food 8.0 Vibe 8.9 Service 8.7 Overall 8.4 This place definitely has his own theme and vibe and it sticks to it. A straightforward menu gives a decent variety and the chef delivered on the flavor. We had the egg Benedict the Gudda grits, and the (not so) French toast. Overall, the food was delicious, but I was extremely disappointed with the "French toast" for some reason, the chef opted for not doing an egg/milk bath for their French toast, which to me is a grave mistake, who wants to dry French toast? This liberty could be excused, and tolerable for the sake of creativity and innovation, IF it was openly, shared on the menu, or by the server. However, this came to a COMPLETE surprise to me AFTER ordering and receiving it. I've never had DRY French toast, nor do I ever wish to again despite the tasty toppings and well executed cinnamon butter cream, it was still not an enjoyable experience, especially if you're expecting classic French toast. That said the eggs Benedict was phenomenal. The pork is perfectly cooked. The biscuits are light and fluffy. And the sauce was immaculate. The Gudda grits surprise me while not being creamy in the same way of grit, I've had in the past, these retained their grit structure, but it kind of melted in your mouth, providing that creamy texture and they add chopped bacon and a sweet I would guess type of reduction in just the right amount to balance the flavor of the Gudda. I do wish they had sausage and hash browns. But it's not that kind of place. My last complaint would be in the potatoes that come with the Benedict. Whatever other option, they have picked those get anything, but those ours came undercooked, and they refried them for us, and they still were just below average which for a place like this. I expected more. Overall, not a bad place. The coffee was phenomenal. I had a dirty Matcha, and it was perfectly executed. Prices aren't terrible for what you'd expect from downtown St Pete at a fancy place, so I was happy. Service was good and friendly. After I expressed my dissatisfaction with the French toast, the manager came over and offered his apologies and remove the item from my bill, even offered to bring us something else, and to have a beverage to go to make up for it. However, I was at the end of our mail and I was ready to get going with the rest of my day, so I said thank you and we departed. Overall, I will not come back for French toast but that eggs Benedict. I would definitely come back and try something else as well. Give it a shot. Just DONT get the French toast. If you like normal French toast.

They have a pretty extensive menu of options, but our go to is the fried grouper sandwich with American cheese and no lettuce or tomato. Our other go to is the lobster roll. Now this go around we did notice the lobster was more shredded than it was chunks which is what we've seen previously so that was a bit of a change, but overall, it was still good. We've had the onion rings before but this go round we decided to share a side of french fries and we did ask for them crispy. They were perfect. Be prepared to wait though as this location is super small and if you come during a busy season or around that lunchtime period you're most likely going to have to wait. This is not a great location for large groups. If you have more than five people in your group this is probably not the best location for you as they cannot seat more than one large group at a time. But, one thing we did notice is that you can walk up and order to go. That's a great option to have and something we may take advantage of in the future.

When the host came out, she stated that she needed to "clear the area." While we understand the need to manage space, the request was directed at us and was delivered in an unpleasant, dismissive tone. She then said there would be about a 25-minute wait and that there were parties ahead of us, which we understood and accepted. However, we were later told that despite being on the list, we would not be seated because there was "no way to contact us" when our turn came and that we needed to remain in one specific spot. Given that no instructions or staff were present when we arrived, this explanation was confusing and felt inconsistent. The interaction gave the clear impression that we were not welcome to wait or dine there, so we chose to leave. Dining out should feel respectful and inclusive, and unfortunately, that was not our experience here.
