I love this place. I live in Boston but grew up in the area and whenever I visit I have to come here. The most important thing in a nail salon for me is cleanliness and Nail Plaza maintains a very clean salon. I love the disposable liners in the pedicure tubs. I don't know why every salon doesn't have these. I only know of one other place and it's my go to salon in Boston. The salon is also very sunny and doesn't smell like fumes like other lower quality salons I've been to. Everyone here is super friendly and very sweet. Today I had trouble finding a deep red that I liked and they are very willing to test a bunch on colors on my nails until I found one. The quality of both the manicure and pedicure are very good- I always leave happy and well taken care of. Highly recommend! read more

My daughter discovered this nail location over a year ago. I was using someone around the corner and was not very satisfied. My daughter would pick out The most technical and crazy designs that she would find on the internet; she would be delighted when they achieved the same results. She was always thrilled and elated with her nails, the look, and the amount of time that they would last. Her nails were always strong and vibrant. She bought me a gift certificate so I would try. So now-I too have been coming here to Vnails continuously and faithfully. I do the powder gel- I have no patience waiting for my nails to dry. I am much more traditional than my daughter and often get various types of French manicures. Ex. Yellow/white, Ombré, a simple flower or heart on a single nail . My nails easily last three weeks. I get bored of what I have chosen faster than there need for replacement. The service is fantastic and everyone speaks English. You never feel out of place or that someone is taking behind your back in a language you don't understand. When and if a nail does break they are extremely accommodating. The technicians are always warm and welcoming. They offer a free mini massage if wanted. Plus the place is immaculate!!! On a plus note the owner lives in the town. I went in for a regular pedicure and a manicure with acrylic tip, where i already had tips but just had to fill them in. I went in at 11am and came out at 1:45pm. It shouldn't take almost 3 hours to do this. I was very disappointed. On top of it, they hurt my fingers multiple times and i got a cut. They also just kept pushing designs on the manicure so they could charge me more. I am just very disappointed to have spent almost 3 hours at the salon. Didn't have the best experience. read more

I have been coming here for many (9 years) with my Mom. Loyalty and extremely good tips apparently means NOTHING). The prices are high, and they try and gauge you when you're not looking I.e 5 dollars to remove gel polish, extra 5 dollars for certain nail polish etc. But they never seem to tell you that until you go to pay. Anyways, the last time we were there my mom has one of the gentleman giving her a pedi. We noticed that his arms (which were submerged in the warm foot bath with her feet) had scabs all over them and some oozing. When questioned out of concern what it was he became very defensive and rude. There's something called universal precautions for the spread of disease and infections and apparently the only person in the universe was him. He got really mad at us. I can understand that maybe that was out of embarrassment but come on!!!! Cover it up. Don't come to work for a few days anything but dip your crusty arms in warm water with someone else's feet in them) We told the owner and he slipped away never to be seen again during the services and the owner didn't seem concerned Nor apologetic. So my sister and I went here as they advertised that they did designs ( they do not). Her manicure came out looking chunky and uneven. My nails looked great though and the staff was very friendly so I decided to give them another chance. I came out of the salon with nails that are lumpy and thick, i'm very unhappy. Even after asking her to file them down. I unfortunately will not be back again. If getting acrylics of any sort I recommend just going somewhere else for that. Super manicure & pedicure shop! After being frustrated by sloppy paint jobs, way too high prices or just another customer, I was about to give up on this area. I was on my way to pick up Thai food (next door) at 6pm on a Wednesday and decided to hop in for a pedicure. The place was busy with at least 10 customers (another 6-8 showed up while I was there). They have all the Opi colors, a really friendly staff and totally reasonable prices for Ridgefield: $25.00 pedi, shoulder massage included. I'm going back for the manicure tonight! As a side note, Summer helped me and when I was hesitant about the color, she grabbed a few others and we tested them out - she was having fun finding the right shade and had expert hands with near black polish which leaves little room for error. read more

The worst salon experience ever. Horrible service and very rude employees and boss. I wish I could give this salon zero stars. I would like to start this off by saying that my daughter and I came to this salon looking for a relaxing, professional pedicure and we absolutely did not receive that. First off, we came for our appointment 10 minutes early, and they let three walk ins who came in after us get their nails done before us. We had to wait 40 minutes after our original appointment to get our nails done. As if that wasn't bad enough, the ladies who were doing our nails were rushing the pedicure. The young lady who was doing my daughters nails was being extremely rude and making sarcastic comments when my daughter explained what she wanted. As she started to carelessly and rapidly paint the nails, I politely asked her to make sure that she was taking her time and doing the service we were paying her for. Immediately she created a scene and started screaming and yelling vulgar language at me. This was completely uncalled for. The owner was sitting right next to her and didn't say a word. The young lady abruptly left and the owner followed her to the back. I never received so much as an apology for this unprofessional, violent behavior. I went in for a gel manicure on a Sunday. This was my first manicure in the state of CT, as I just moved here from PA, so I did not know where to go. I decided to try this salon based on yelp reviews. There was no wait time which was nice, but it was pricey. I liked that you get a free shoulder massage with your service, however I will not be back for one main reason -- With every gel manicure that I've ever gotten (which is lots!) I've always gotten my cuticles done very thoroughly. However, during this manicure, she was about to start putting the base coat on without doing my cuticles. I asked, "are you going to soak my hands and do my cuticles to remove the dead skin?" She said, "Oh, yes." I thought it was weird that they did the cuticles after doing the base coat on the nails but I thought, whatever, as long as it's a part of the package. Then, she started to put the actual color on my nails and I stopped her and said, "I thought you were going to do my cuticles?" She responded, "Oh, no, that's not a part of a gel manicure." I was miffed for sure, especially when she told me earlier she would do it for me. I've never had my cuticles NOT done during any kind of manicure, including a gel one. So for $35, I didn't get what I was paying for. I will not be back because of this. I've heard great things about Jenny's nails which is two feet away from them on Danbury Rd. I've been coming here for years and they always do an amazing job. However, today I got what I think is the worst gel manicure I've ever had. He almost made my cuticles bleed so I guess he just decided to move on to the next step of the manicure. One hour and 10 minutes later this is what I was left with. He filed my nails unevenly and it looks as though he did 2-3 coats on the upper half of my nails but forgot the additional coats on the lower half. I had a coupon for a free manicure and pedicure for new customers and when I went there they first said it was a misprint- only a free manicure, and then said it was only for a free manicure if you pay for a pedicure. This is definitely one of the best nail salons in town. I have been going there for 3 years and am never disappointed. I usually go for eyebrow waxing or a pedicure and, regardless of the technician, the outcome is great. They are open 7 days a week, I've never had to wait for more than 5 minutes, especially since they expanded into the space next door about a year ago. The owners and staff are professional and they even offer shoulder massages as you are getting a manicure or when you are at the manicure/pedicure drying station. First time to this Salon as I was just passing through the area and desperately needed a manicure. Everything was great! Shoulder massage was very relaxing( but which I think was extra but they don't tell you that before they start) my only complaint is that she didn't give the gel polish on my nails enough time to soak off and started sanding them with a nail file instead. I know that it usually takes a good 10-15 minutes to get soft enough for it to easily scrape off. She gave it all of two minutes and tried scraping and when she was unsuccessful started filing, which leaves my nails thin and brittle. Also no water soak prior to clipping cuticles. I thought it was kind of harsh to clip dry cuticles. Other than that it was a nice nail shop. They have a lot of services including back and shoulder massage, mani and pedi and even waxing and eye lash extensions. Slightly pricy tho. I paid 47$ for a gel polish manicure and a shoulder massage, still don't know if the massage was included or not... For reference I had Lynn as my nail tech. She was very sweet but impatient when it came to letting my nails soak long enough. read more

I went to this place after calling to check on the price of acrylic nails, they stated the nails would be $40, however they charged $60. Once I got there, they seemed friendly, however, that soon change. They tried getting me to buy a more expensive set and went as fair as to put one of each on my fingers. How rude!!!! After they put my set on, they proceeded to try and tell me how long I should get them, which was extremely long. They copped an attitude when I said no and a new guy came to take care of me. I've only been there once so far, but upon my first visit, it was rather busy and I didn't have an appointment, but was taken rather quickly. I got a gel manicure and an eyebrow wax. I had Helen, who was great! I think the prices are reasonable for the area and the salon is very nice and spacious on the interior, and they have a TV, which is great. Ive been coming here for a few years now after saying Good bye to Classic Nails (yes, by choice!). Clean place that does a nice, neat, attentive job but I do request the same aesthetician all the time. I have gotten manicures here and they were fine but I opt to get pedi here and they do a nice job and listen to my request. They have a nice selection of colors in the polish world as well as a few different types--I pay the extra $5 to get the special gel polish for my toes and it is simply amazing and does last longer. The chairs are comfy and offers a remote controlled chair that is adjustable. The massage during the pedi has gotten a little chintzy from the time I have been coming here but they do offer you extra massage if you pay....I never take them up on it, since I rather go to Reflexology on Bailey Street to get a seriously thorough one there. Place is big and has a lot of chairs. The drying station offers more time to get a light back massage but the massage girl isn't always reliable for this and clearly cannot read body language at all. read more

This place is amazing. I was dying to get out of the house for a mani as I had been home with my newborn baby girl for 4 weeks. Sure enough, my daughter woke up in the middle of my manicure. The ladies were so nice. They offered to let me slip into a private room to feed her, which I did. This nail salon is definitely a less than one star. unfortunately is not because of the nail technicians, its because of the owners, extremely poor customer service. In the course of two months I called and scheduled 3 appts, but when I got there every time, my nail girl was forced to take another customer right before I got there, resulting in me having to wait up to 30 min to get may nails done. Also, they destroyed my nails with the gel nail polish, they have poor knowledge of how to remove it. It's too bad. read more

I went to Nail Plaza last weekend for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice and friendly the staff was and how great my spa pedicure was. They were having a special with a new line of products they are now incorporating into their manicures and pedicures. I got the Arbonne spa pedicure which was absolutely amazing as was the nice neck/back massage I received - both were exactly what I needed after a long week. Ive been to this place a couple times but only ever got mani , pedicures , eyebrow waxing & reflexology . Naturally because those services were great i decided to go back to get a gel set . The woman seemed very unexperienced although nice. I almost canceled my service when she kept sticking the clue to my skin, after repeatedly sticking herself to my skin and sticking the tip wrong and pulling them off . I decided to give her a chance but was super unpleased with the end result . One hand looks decent but the other hand has two wonkey nails , when asking her to fix it she said no they were fine . at the end i had glue over my fingers that had dried and she didn't clean off the dust before lotioning my hands , still gave her the benefit of the doubt but even after lotioning she didn't clean the now dusty lotion off my hands - i had to wash my hands after and unglue my nails to my skin. I have to go back to my old nail place 45 minutes away who i trust to fix it . One nail french tip doesn't go to the end of my nail and one is wonky and jetting upward which hurt. Underneath the nails are all jacked up because she didn't cut or file my natural nail . They then charged me $95 dollars for a set of nails . I expected to go to a well respected place and receive a set of great nails instead I'm displeased and now have to spend more money to fix them - STICK TO A MANI OR PEDI but don't expect a long massage only like 30 seconds per foot for the regular pedi . I get charged less at other places and receive better services . I would skip this one because if your unhappy they don't really care .
