I had the displeasure or working with Donna, who was extremely pushy and aggressive after my dealership towed my car there. Without authorization, she acted as an "agent" and talked to my insurance company, saying I wanted to have repair work done there, despite the shop being out-of-network. She repeatedly lied when they were starting work on my car. If I had known it would take them 9 business days from checking parts to START working on my car, I would have insisted on taking my car to an in-network shop. Instead, I was left without a car for 5 weeks. Eventually, she let it slip that the owner of the car dealership owned the auto body repair shop. This place is crooked and I would not trust their estimates, either in terms of money or how long the repairs will take. Also, my car now has a vile smell, despite me saying several times I did not want it to be polished. Every time I step into my car I now get a bad headache. The person admitted responsibility, and I needed a body shop. As I am new to this neighborhood, I had no recommendations. I passed V& J on Wellwood Ave and it looked very clean. Good first impression. I met Donna Spero, who filled me in on the process, had me in a new rental car in 15 minutes, if that. I basically left the car there and didn't bother them. They called me after a few weeks that the car was done. The result was SPECTACULAR. Not only was the repair completed perfectly, they polished out all the scratches that I accumulated in the year I owned it. My wife said what I was thinking; the car looks like a shiny new dime. I mean these guys REALLY know their stuff!!! Usually I find auto body shops to be shady and unethical but this company really proved me wrong and I couldn't be happier! My car was SUPER messed up from a car accident that I had on Long Island. I had had so many bad experiences in the past with auto body shops that would charge an arm and a leg above so they could make money off the insurance company as well as the customer. Well not these guys. The estimate they gave me the day I dropped the car off ended up being $10 less than what my car insurance estimated after inspecting the car once they looked at it. That was incredible I thought. They estimated that it would take 3 weeks to fix- they delivered the car all fixed, detailed, cleaned and looking brand new in exactly 2 weeks!! That never happens! They were really professional with me which I appreciate cause a lot of these places treat women like they don't know anything which is so annoying! They treated me with respect, told the truth, fixed my car and helped me out big time! I appreciated it so much so that I felt the need to share it with the world! I have had some bad luck with my CT6. Three different incidents with in one year. V & J are fantastic. I have the Platinum Edition, which is overflowing with electronics. I was fearful that they might not get her back together correctly. They have technicians specifically certified to fix my car. I got into a minor accident in my Tesla. Rocker panel was damaged. I decided to use them because they were recommended and Tesla certified, professionals right? Wrong. I got my car back with additional damage done to it. Somehow this shop managed to scratch the steering wheel and caused my airbag to pop out, then tried to tell me I would have to pay for the damage. Additionally the car was extremely dirty and had about extra 60 miles on it! I'm not sure what was done to my car maybe it's a one off, but I recommend staying away. read more

Less then an hour after filing my claim the unbelievable people at V and J had checked my vehicle in, spoke to my insurance company and had an insurance representative scheduuled to come see my vehicle. The women at the front of the store kept me updated with every step of my trucks repairs and were completely transparent with every step and the cost. There were no unexpected delays or cost throughout the entire process. I had left something in my truck I needed and Melissa had one of the repairmen retrieve it for me immediately. I have used V&J for two of my new cars. The workmanship and service are top notch. My cars came back as good as new. Usually if you have bodywork done, you can always tell by the alignments of body parts and the paint. I can assure you can't find any flaws in their work. I wanna start by saying thank you to Donna for helping me right after the accident occurred in working with the tow company who picked up my truck and getting it brought directly to V&J. The next day Jackie had me in first thing in the morning to sign all the needed paperwork and got my insurance company on the phone sonI could be put in a rental. Throughout the whole time beginning to end the staff at V&J kept me updated on everything going on with my truck and it's repairs. .. Granted repairs took about a month due to parts being on back order but still the staff kept me updated. I was greeted by Peter who was professional, concerned and put me at ease during an upsetting time. I'm a Lyft driver and needed my car to work. Peter worked with the Insurance Company to get the necessary $$$ to repair my SUV properly. He put me in a rental within 45 minutes and even changed the rental when I found it didnt fit my needs. This review has been long overdue, my car was here for repair about a year and a half ago but Everytime I look at the crap they did,I get annoyed so here I am. DO NOT TAKE YOUR TESLA HERE. I have no idea how they have 4.8 stars, maybe my car was a one time fluke, but I doubt it. Brought my Tesla model 3 here, had front end and rear end damage. Everything seemed great until I got the car back. Immediately noticed a plethora of issues. Autopilot wasn't working, there were drops of paint INSIDE my car, my hood was misaligned, connectors were left unplugged. Let's start with the autopilot issues. Got the car back, autopilot wasn't working. They said I have to drive 100 miles to calibrate, which took less than a day because my commute both ways is 120 miles. Had to take the car back for the autopilot issue, they didn't install the new front radar properly or test it or something, I forgot the specifics, either way I had to wait for a new front radar. Got the car back and the hood and bumper were misaligned, hood latch wasn't working either. Had to take the car back AGAIN. Got the car back and noticed there were paint splatters all over my dash, black paint, looked like blowback from painting another vehicle in close proximity. The same splatters were also on the exterior. That's when I started noticing all the paint defects. I first noticed when I pulled in my garage to charge and opened the door and hit a ladder, VERY LIGHTLY. The paint peeled back like playdough. They had repainted my entire car, only damage was the hood, front bumper, rear bumper and trunk decklid. I asked why the entire car was repainted they said they couldn't match the paint so they just repainted the entire thing. Which would have been fine if they had done it properly, they didn't. They painted over the pre-existing coat instead of sanding and stripping and it was very noticeable. Took the car back to them for the black speckles, they refused to do anything about the shitty paint job. My side skirts were also YELLOW with a grainy texture. They refused to fix that because "that's good Tesla does it". Absolutely not, that's not how my car came from the factory. Not to mention, the paint on the entire car was still soft, they gave me the crappy "oh it takes 30 days to fully cure" excuse. Okay cool, waited 30 days, paint still soft,I can still make indentations with my finger. So they then said "oh it takes up to 90 days to fully cure". Okay great, let's wait 90 days. 90 days passed and lol and behold, PAINT IS STILL SOFT. After all this the bumper and the headlights still were not fitting, it kept shifting and it was causing the paint to peel from the bumper, I didn't want to have to take my car there for the umpteenth time so I told them to cut me a check for the cost to repaint the bumper, which they did. Fast forward to 2022, my car had some minor damage to the right side, took it to Don Joe auto body. Great shop, I recommend you take your car there instead. Guy calls me and says "hey did someone else work on this car? Because we found a lot of weird issues when we took the car apart", I said yes I had front and rear end damage few months back and another shop did the repairs. He asked if I can come in so he can show me some stuff and explain the steps they'll have to take to work around the issues. I stop by the shop and the first thing they show me was the headlight fitment. This was why my bumper and frunk we're misaligned. VJ couldn't get the headlight to fit, so they cut and broke pieces off the light to make it fit, and it still didn't fit. Don Joe had to order new parts and redo the entire front end properly. They lamented over how crappy the paint job was and reassured me that they were gonna fix it, however they won't be able to fix the entire car because the damage is on the right side and the insurance wouldn't approve painting the entire car. They moved to the rear, under the bumper and showed me all the shoddy work they did, it was terrible. In all honesty, I should've made it a much bigger issue than I did and gotten my insurance involved but I didn't, you live and you learn. But he warned, don't take your Tesla here, for the love of all things Tesla. read more
