I had my SUV repaired at Caliber in late July after being struck by a drunk driver on the parkway. After picking it up in early August, I gave a glowing review in response to their email request. However, upon returning to sign final papers and address an unfixed taillight (which they never fixed), I discovered that all my truck mats were missing. When I went inside, an employee greeted me with, "Hi, you really f**ked me with that review." I was taken aback, as I had only written positive things and hadn't mentioned the taillight or the missing mats. He refused to explain what was wrong with my review and tried to change the subject. Eventually, they admitted to losing the mats (which were visibly present in the "before" photos) and agreed to replace them. After a month passed, they claimed the mats were on backorder for my 2022 truck. I waited patiently for two more months, but still no mats. Frustrated, I found ( in less than 5 minutes) and ordered the mats online myself. They arrived within two days! I showed the employee the invoice in October and was promised reimbursement. November passed, then December, with no reimbursement. They claimed a check was mailed (which I never received), and then offered a gift card. When I went to pick it up, they didn't have it. Finally, after seven months of waiting, I received my reimbursement this week in February. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. The staff was rude, the work was incomplete, and their attitude was arrogant and dismissive. Only Manager Marvin seemed to care and take action. - Update- The Manager did reach out to me and apologized again for his Corp company not addressing the issue sooner and a staff member speaking with me in a non professional tone. read more

My experience went from not so good to horrible and the red flags were there from day one. I came into caliber collision in Farmingdale 30-40 baiting place Rd Farmingdale NY 11735 to be exact. I bought my car in I believe 8/7/25 to make an appointment and to provide insurance information and provide the estimate I was given from the insurance company, I then showed "Ed"I believe his real name is Eddie who had the smell of alcohol coming out his pours as well as on his breathe that should have been my first sign to leave out of desperation I stayed despite being under the influence I showed the damages on my vehicle from a car accident I explained the estimate I had for what damages and what was not on the estimate that the insurance company agree to pay and last I Explained what damaged I had already fixed due to me not being able to drive without those repairs Eddie said ok, Jill had told me to come back with the car that coming Monday to began repairs. Red flag #2 when I arrived there was no folder no appointment made for me she didn't even remember me I had to Jog her memory I should have left then silly me stayed. I stupidly turn over my keys I leave for what I thought was the beginning of repairs they didn't actually start repairs until an entire week later no updates nothing, I then receive a call from caliber collision Farmingdale asking when will I be dropping my vehicle off Red flag #3 again I ignored I explained my vehicle had been in that shop at that location for a week now I then called to find out what's going, I also asked why am I not received any updates on the status of my vehicle that's when I was told they had not started yet That's when I was certain I made a mistake choosing this location. My car been In the shop approximately 3 weeks and I received 1 text with the status of my car that said repairs are done the paint job is beginning, I took a week and a half to paint the 1 side panel? this is because they knew my rental car was to be turned in on 8/29/25 so what did they do they stalled and low and be hold my car is complete 8/29/25. I call the shop I informed them my rental had to be dropped of by 12 pm otherwise I have to pay additional time they assured me the car will be ready by then. I get to the shop only to wait 2 hours. I get my car I leave. We Are in September. On September 11th I receive a call from caliber collision that the insurance company had not paid them. At first I agreed to assist them but then I changed my mind as Billing should have been handled before I left the shop with my car to call and make it my problem made me mad the more I thought about it then to sit on the phone and lie and say they made repairs that I made already and told them not to do because it was done made me even more mad. The problem is there getting drunk, drinking on the job so they don't know what's going on when its going on and that's dangerous because now I'm feeling unsafe as to if repairs was done properly questioning if my life is in danger when I'm driving read more

I had a really bad experience with Caliber. I used them because they had good reviews and my insurance company recommended them. I was given an incorrect estimate for time to do the work because the person who made my estimate entered the paint color/type incorrectly. The repair took 2 weeks instead of 4 days. Meanwhile I was paying out of pocket to rent a vehicle to drive. Sean kept saying he would make it right and get my vehicle back to me asap, but it took a while. Then when I arrived at 5:30 to pick up (he told me it would be done by 5) it was not completed. I waited 10 min only to check out the car and see there was a noticeable irregularity in the body work - one panel wasn't flush with the owner. Sean said it was ok because it was up to insurance standards. What?! I left and a couple miles away realized the tire pressures were quite different from each other - one was 42, others were 35, 37, 38. I called to ask why this was and if it could be fixed but was put on hold for a while, then the central caliber collision rep took my info and told me I'd get a call back. I didn't feel safe driving with tire pressures like this so I pulled over and had to manually let air out myself to get the tires close to equal. It took about 10 minutes for Sean to call me, and he told me that he didn't get a chance to rotate the tires yet and he wanted to fix the body work imperfections. He told me he hadn't done this because he wanted to get my car done ASAP. So, he said, I'd have to bring the car back for another few hours of work. Are you kidding me??? Giving me a car that was not necessarily safe to drive because of wonky tires pressures, then telling me that he did not finish the work because he wanted to get the car back to me sooner? This is inexcusable. Seriously. All he had to do was say the car isn't done, I need to complete some stuff then you can pick it up tomorrow. Definitely not recommending them to anyone I know. read more

My insurance company referred Caliber Collision as the place to go in order to get body work done to my truck after being in a minor car accident. From the moment I came to this shop, I was immediately impressed with the customer service! Phil was the first person I met and he took my information and also took detailed pictures of the damage to the bumper. I made an appointment to get the work done after an estimate was quickly written up. I dropped the truck off on Monday and got it back Tuesday evening. I only needed 2 days of a car rental which Caliber also offers through Enterprise. Enterprise is right next door to Caliber so it was very convenient. Marvin, from Caliber, kept in touch with me during this whole process. I have my truck back now, in perfect condition and I'm amazed to say they went above and beyond what they needed to do. They even put air in all the tires and cleaned the floor mats! I highly recommend Caliber Collision if you ever need this kind of service. Their service is incomparable! read more
