$3.40 worth of candy
M R.

Cute looking store but the selection of candy was meh. Lots of the same stuff as you see at bon bon and candy king. Tried a few of their "unique" candies and they weren't terribly delicious. Also not sure if maybe they don't tare the scale, but 7 pieces of candy came to $3.40 which seems a bit steep even for nyc.

Pretty good candy. Huge selection. A lot of the candy is vegan and I like how it's not too sweet and hard. Clean store.

There is a new candy store in town!!!! Vännest has opened in the West Village! This viral TikTok shop, now has a physical location in the West Village. Vännest is a Swedish boutique candy store with pick, and mix candy with over 100 different varieties, as well as flavors. What I love personally is the candy has no artificial flavors, high fructose corn syrup, and a variety of gluten free, vegan, gelatin free candy. My favorites are the chocolate bars, the sour gummies are great as well. Love the gold scoopers such a beautiful touch! The atmosphere is beautiful, and spotless. Thank you Heather loved the upbeat vibe, she made my experience lovely! Amazed at the flavors, it was candy overload! The entire experience was very sweet!!!

Swedish candy is exploding all colors of a sugar rainbow in NYC! Amazing flavors, shapes, sizes, colors and chewy textures. Candyland in NYC Vannest just opened on Bleeker Street, a few months after Candy King opened on the same street. They are also doing a wonderful job with branding including merch and product packaging. Huge selection of flavors and types to pick and mix. Bubs, sours, marshmallows ... sugar high and mighty!

The Vannest Swedish Candy Company delivers a sugar rush with personality... whimsical, a little over-the-top, and very hard to stop eating. The banana marshmallows are addictive (in the best way), and the chocolate-dipped strawberry marshmallows taste like a fancy dessert disguised as candy. Not everything hit perfection, but the hits were so good I kept reaching back into the bag anyway. Four stars for a delightfully sweet experience in a sweet shoppe ambiance.

Sparkling clean, this place may have ruined me. The foam is unique and the flavors are spot on. Loved stopping by here!

They offer samples if you ask nicely. That's so nice. Bon bon doesn't offer samples. I like this better than bon bon!

(I visited late evening, Thursday, August 28, 2025). This was a very brief visit, after dinner out,…read moreand based on the very nice service this evening, I want to return very soon, so that I can really enjoy looking around the store. There is a lot to see, and I did not have the time due to my own schedule. The man who helped us was so very nice and kind. I believe he said he is usually at their Brooklyn shop, but he was helping out in this west side of Manhattan shop. He explained about the MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION colorful, rainbow, STAR-SHAPED LOLLIPOPS near the cashier pay area. Please SEE MY PHOTOS. IT'S SUGAR has raised more than $1 MILLION DOLLARS for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, thanks to the people who bought the special lollipops; AND their goal is to raise $2 Million dollars for The Make-a-Wish Foundation. So, if you are near the store, please stop in. Buy a MAKE-A-WISH lollipop. Look around. Enjoy the candy sights you see, and make a purchase. They have Totsie Roll Pops, too!! And so much more, I have to visit again...soon! :) FOR VISITORS TO NYC--you will be near this store if you are in the Columbus Circle area, and the Lincoln Center area. And, it's a nice walk from the theatre district and the Fifth Avenue area, too. NYC is a great WALKING CITY, so, if you are heading out for the day, wear comfortable walking/running shoes, so that you can walk over and visit this shop. And, Thank You to the man from Brooklyn working at the store. Your great customer service made the visit a pleasure!

Just left there where I was accused of stealing drug paraphernalia. Some dumb novelty mug pipe…read morecombo thing. I don't smoke or use cannabis so it's literally of no use to me. It's a heat wave and my daughter is at her college orientation. While we wait for her we've been finding creative ways to stay cool. Before heading into the shops at Columbus we headed into its sugar because we're with my 10m old and he likes looking at the lights and bright colors. I picked up a mug called "wake and bake" and asked my husband does it work and how. I then put it down. When exiting an employee in a purple shirt was kind of blocking the door. I thought that was odd but people are weird. She even almost bumped into someone trying to walk in. She then accuses me of stealing the mug. I was confused and said I put it down and continued on my way, but I'm annoyed that a company that I frequented often with my older kids would accuse me of stealing. If you were watching so closely you should have done a better job and watched me place it back down. How outrageously inappropriate it was to try and smile and play with my 10 month old while you were moments away from accusing his mother. As much as my older kids like It's Sugar I'm going to be thinking twice before purchasing anything there ever again. Maybe it's for the best and I should be supporting local businesses. I'm honestly stuck on the fact that they thought a mother pushing her infant child was attempting to steal something so wildly inappropriate.
