Joe was very honest and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this dealership. Used car dealers that are trustworthy are a rare find.

We stopped at this Carmax to check out some used cars for sale and maybe test drive one or two…read more The way it works is that you basically have a Self-Service system here. You go to the lot and you spot what car you want to test drive and they will then set you up with the test drive. I guess it's a good system if you don't see anything you like and you don't waste a salesperson time, but I thought that was kind of odd. We walked around for about 15-20 min and did not find anything that caught our eyes. But at least we now know how it works.

Buying process is far different ... and let's preface that the unit was priced much higher than…read moreothers in market, not negotiable, and Carmax too now adds dealer prep and handling fee in the 1000 dollar range. So we found a car outside the area. We paid the have it transported here from another Carmax. We contacted a local GM dealer and found that Carmaxs Equifax reporting (versus Carfax) was incorrect and manufacturer warranty was finished. We also found the CPO on file was never paid for original dealer and thus not in effect. Urgh .... So we reach out after hours by chat to discuss cancelling and to find out the process when they were incorrect. Not to worry, the car was on a test drive and being sold today. Didn't you see the refund pending for delivery you paid ??? What ... So in effect the delivery was paid and funds received. The car was on hold and Carmax allowed another buyer to test drive and buy a unit held for transport. Then they just refund the money and fail to alert via phone and email. Wow ! Now again we were going to cancel and all is well in end. We won't likely ever consider Carmax for a buy in future however. Bad info on cars, poor hold and transport policies, and true lack of empathy around their business model and loopholes. Just another typical car dealer experience !!!

Here is an account of my experience with this dealer. We recently purchased and received from…read moreFlorida Car Collection, a 1999 BMW Z3. Looked beautiful, runs beautifully, and every step of the way, I was impressed with the servicing provided by Jon & Marquis. I live in California, where for the last month, we had been visiting local dealerships, in a failed attempt to find that special car I always wanted. Interactions with used car sales people seem to run in a similar fashion: fast talking, lots of truth-stretching, and lastly, impatience, followed by abandonment, if you're not ready to "pull the trigger" and buy right now. The first time I spoke via phone to Jon about the BMW, I immediately got a very different and unfamiliar impression; warmth, consideration, and a calmness, uncharacteristic of the typical used car sales person. I didn't have to fight "tooth and nail" to obtain a reduced price. I simply mentioned that since I'd observed the auction included a "Make an Offer" option, I figured he'd take a lesser amount than the posted "Buy it Now" price. Without so much as a hesitation or a lengthy explanation, in defense of the asking price, he immediately lowered the price by $500. I was totally shocked. He added that he, himself, had not yet driven the car, and cautioned my purchasing the car immediately, but rather, the most sensible thing for me to do, was to allow him the opportunity (the next day) to test drive the car, so that he might be able to comment more a accurately comment on the car's performance. From then on, I was hooked on buying the car, not only because of the car, but also because of Jon's display of character and integrity. Another example of that integrity emerged in our initial conversation, Jon assured that if we did end up buying the car, that he would try his best to secure transport for the car from Florida to Southern California in an "enclosed" trailer for $900. I was shocked; earlier, I had researched available transport options for "open" trailers to average between $1200-$1500. Once again, no "empty promise'" Rod delivered on his hopeful intention; he secured transport in an enclosed " trailer" for exactly $900. Summarily, my used car buying experience was nothing short of wonderful, when it could have just as easily been disastrous, which ultimately speaks volumes about Florida Car Collection. Yes, I could have bought an "As-Is lemon", and yes, the Ebay car buyer is always in a vulnerable position, easily to be taken advantage of by unscrupulous sellers, but that was not even remotely my experience with Jon and FCC. Instead, my next intention down the road is to request Jon to find another great vehicle for my budding collection. I read a few negative reviews and in nearly every instance, I would classify these experiences as highly unfortunate, rather than an indictment of FCC's conspiring and diabolical plan to dump great-looking, but horrible-running classic used cars onto unsuspecting, victimized customers. Thanks again Jon, Marquis and Florida Car Collection
