After happy hour ended a bud light and high noon was $18. I can't believe they turned the old movie theater into a magic show theater. I sat there thinking about all the movies I saw at the Hotel and the first time I had a drink in a movie theater so long ago, 1989. It was fun in the bar prior to the doors opening they have a magical experience for adults and kids to set the mood for the evening. Tracy the bartender was awesome! She also works at Blitz during the day. She has the kindest soul and such a people person! It was like I had known her for years. They have a box office where you can purchase tickets. Very hard to hear the gal! They definitely need a microphone to speak to each other. If you think you're going to save a few extra dollars on those service fees - you may have to think twice, just purchase on line. It's much easier. Also, they have a snack bar with fresh popped popcorn $9 -$13 and huge pretzels $14. Chase Hasty and his wife have traveled around the world to over 25 countries sharing their magical talent and ballet dancing skills. My favorite part of the show was when Chase brought out a locked box and Hoisted the box with a rope up to the ceiling and told this guy to watch the box. Later in the show they opened the box, it was a pretty impressive trick!!! One not to be forgotten!! It's a small production but well thought out with couple extra dancers and costumes changes. I love that Chase, picks people out of the audience to help with the show. Maddox was a return kid that had been practicing his magic and Chase let him perform in front of the audience and what is that called "That's Magic!!!" It's nice the performers will met you afterwards in the hallway to have pictures and ask questions. It's a great family night or you can come to the later show at 9pm for a little more risky nocturnal show. I'll have to save that one for another time!

Kaileigh and Chase Hasty did a good job. They also shared a little about their history; see their website. And since there were only approximately 20 people in the audience, it was a very upfront and personal show. Definitely got our $$ worth, well it was only $20 each. Ambiance - Very small intimate theater. Comfortable seats, see pictures. Soft, plush, lean back chairs with arm rests (or not) and cup holders. Full bar and lounge when you enter. Happy hour is also available; see pictures. In the bar, free close up magic which was actually pretty good. I stayed for one magic trick. Open 7 days a week; see their website for specific hours and shows. Plenty of casino parking. Service - Good. Price - After a discount, it was approximately $20 a person. College discounts, local discounts, etc. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success. Maybe I will also visit your sister venue in Heavenly.

The process to book online was fairly simple and it's convenient to choose the seats too. The Pioneer inside is clean and everyone is friendly. They showed us to our seats and even offered to take our picture in front of the sign! It's nice that they offer a concession stand before and at intermission. This play and performance was magical! What a great place for live shows! Given the age of this building, they have done a spectacular job with the upkeep. The building still seems new and the interior is clean and updated. The seats are very comfortable and the traffic patterns are well thought out, even on a busy show day. They have concession stands available on both floors- spreading out traffic and easing the lines/crowds. Prices are reasonable for a live events venue. The show itself was great, and the venue is clearly well designed with great acoustics and great views from every seat in mind. The technical features available at the venue also seem to be pretty high tech and modern- at least they were for the Paw Patrol show. I was especially impressed with the restrooms. Sparkling clean with so many restrooms available. I can't imagine lines for the restroom ever being an issue here. I regret not having been here for any shows in so long. I am already looking forward to my next visit and have found myself already scouring the website for which shows are coming soon that I'd like to see. Would recommend!

I made a reservation at El Dorado in Reno back in June 2025 for a three-night stay…read more(Tuesday-Thursday, checking out Friday) in April 2026. After nearly 10 months of planning, I expected the basics to be handled correctly. When we checked in, we were given a double room instead of the King room we reserved. I went back to the front desk and was told that because they were oversold for Thursday night, there was no way to move us into a King room at all during our stay. That explanation didn't make much sense--they confirmed they had King rooms available Tuesday and Wednesday, but because of the Thursday overbooking, they couldn't honor the reservation for any of the nights. So even though I booked months in advance and had already arrived, I was effectively bumped in favor of guests who hadn't even checked in yet. To make matters worse, only 2 out of 5 elevators were working the entire stay, which led to long waits (up to 20 minutes to get down in the morning) and added frustration. After the fact, I looked through other reviews and saw that this seems to be an ongoing issue, not a one-off situation. Between the reservation not being honored and the operational problems, it was a pretty disappointing experience overall. Skip this place.

We were in the area and saw the big black widow spider and thought what a large Halloween store. But we were pleasantly mistaken - What used to be a bowling alley has now been repurposed into an absolute wonderland of an experience. It's a full blown kid friendly adult friendly haunted warehouse. My 4 year old son had an absolute blast, it starts of with a bit of trick or treating as your making your way through the adventure, then turns into a full on experience as each and every room has a theme from Jurassic park, aliens, robots, clowns, skeletons, a mirror room that I conveniently banged my head into, all the way to the super psychedelic tunnel. Which leads you to the Macabre mansion - for adults and children too. THEY ARE EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING- asking how scary you'd like the experience to be. Seeing as my Little guy is 4 we asked for no jump scares. And made it through enjoying every bit of the way. My little guy hugged the zombie, high fives leather face and complimented his chainsaw, noting it looked like it could use some oil, but the blood would do. We had an absolute blast. They are doing a Christmas themed experience as well. The owner has a dream, retired and sunk all of her savings into an experience we can all appreciate. I hope to see them sound for many many more years to come. Do yourself a favor and check them out! You won't be disappointed.

I got a Groupon to do a month of acting classes. I was just looking for a fun activity for her, she was only four years old at the time. She has been going to Take 2 Performer's Studio ever since and adores it. Not only are they amazing with the kids, but they are so warm and caring. They really foster a great learning atmosphere for the kids here. That is what I love most about this place. I love that it is locally owned and managed by a mom too! Five years ago, after only maybe two acting lessons, a Hollywood talent agency visited the studio and all of the students were allowed to audition if they wanted. This type of audition happens a couple times a year there. A handful of kids were called back by the agency, and my daughter was one of them! It was such a big surprise to us and she was, naturally, delighted to get to go to Hollywood. She did get signed and has since been a principle character on a famous television show. Not only did she LOVE getting to go to LA, but she was thrilled that she got paid really well too. There is nothing like letting your child do something they love to do, but also fill up their college savings account! Since that fun start, our little girl has been taking lessons for acting and voice here. She has had a little training there for modeling too. The school puts on great plays which we love. Like right now, they are rehearsing for a Christmas play. Our daughter has gotten to perform in front of hundreds of people both singing and acting through Take 2. "Stage Fright" is not in her vocabulary. She has gained so much confidence. She has also done runway modeling for local malls a couple times, which was really fun, through Take 2. Really, Take 2 gives their students great tools and amazing opportunities. We really feel like the management tries hard to give the kids as many opportunities as possible to utilize what they are learning. They make the lessons fun, so the kids see it as "play" but really they are learning a ton. I look back to how we started this fun journey with a Groupon for a month of acting classes and it amazes me how much my child has gotten out of her training at Take 2.

I happened to be looking at their classes during the holidays and they had a great special so I jumped on the chance to get it. You can get one class per week for a price or if you bump it up a bit, you can get unlimited classes as well as discounts on special events/workshops they offer. We opted for the one class per week deal to see if he would actually like it. He absolutely LOVES it! All of the instructors are wonderful and very patient with the kids (this is not just for children, mind you, but the classes he takes are the children ones). Waters (acting), Colette (modeling), Claire (modeling), Holly (improv) and Justine the owner and so easy to talk to and very professional. Did I mention Grace Hayes is the children's voice coach? She made it through the auditions to American Idol! There are several other instructors as well, but I have not had the pleasure of meeting them yet. Four months later, he now goes five days a week and looks forward to every class. It is such a confidence builder having to speak in front of your peers and adults. If you or your child is so inclined to learn how to act, sing, model or all of the above, do yourself a favor and check out Take2 Performers Studio. One more thing, Justine also owns Tru Talent Agency where she connects people to commercials, events and the like in our area (yes, my son has already been in a commercial and soon other fun things!).
