As a mother of two daughters, now in their early twenties, I cannot praise this studio and all the staff members, coaches and other students enough. I feel really lucky and quite blessed to watch my girls bloom into confident, empowered young women. Their journey with Take 2 started just over a year ago. In this short time, I have witnessed their inner power, their confidence and their own "Light" begin to shine. What more could any parent want? Classes are affordable and offered during the day and in the evenings. The professionals at this studio foster what is deep inside every student. But, they do it in a way that only seasoned veterans who know the business could. And.. they have your back.
When my girls were small, I was approached (like many reading this) in the mall, etc., by people who were interested in making a dollar or for whatever reasons. At the time, I just wanted them to grow up to be "normal, happy" adults. That being said, now I realize the importance of formal training and the exposure that kids or adults need if they are interested in the Arts or even if they are not. The lessons learned here could help anyone in a crucial job interview or just where a little confidence building would immensely help someone forge ahead.
Take 2 actors, models and singers just returned from the Industry Network held in Los Angeles where they took First Place Honors among many other studios from around the country. Kids and adults acted, sang, walked the runway and met Talent Agents, Talent Managers and Television and Movie Writers who are currently working in the business. One of the IN alumni, Nev Scharrel is the voice of Agnes, one of the main characters in "Despicable 3" which comes out today! She spoke at the gala held the last evening of the event. As a parent, I cannot tell you how valuable I found the Q & A session held by the agents, managers mentioned. This is a huge event that was attended by Wilhemina, IMG, Ford modeling, Apex Talent, etc,. Okay, you get the point. I had no idea how significant this event is. All of the students from Take 2 were so
well - prepared. I watched my girls attend college classes, work and then drive down I80 thru rain and snow just to "show up" because that's what you do when you want to learn, to grow. Both of them paid for the event themselves because it was this important to them. So, if you are a parent of a young child or a teen, or if you are an adult reading this and you NEED to shine, just show up. Take 2 is the only place I would trust and I cannot recommend them highly enough. read more
