Located on Indian reservation Ute Mountain Hotel is a nice find in a wilderness full of inns and dirty motels. Rooms are fantastic, clean and comfortable. Parking lot is safe. Although a casino there are strict rules about alcohol and drugs and they are heavy on security. Casino wise, it is a small casino dominated by slot machines. Restaurant is ok a bit disappointing but the hotel quality made up for it!

Nazi Center see how empty there's a reason and they will continue to lose business and respect

    - star rating Do not STOP here under any circumstances not even for gas!! And especially for recreation! Spend your money someplace else.... They are rude and unfriendly and have changed. I used to stop here twice a year in my travels but never again! They have the machines rigged the so called TRAVEL center has lost its mind and has a Nazi at the entrance! and wants to point lasers at your head to go inside and purchase gas or a soda!! Lasers according to med professionals damage your pineal in your brain. They are rude and have NO respect for other human beings. No thanks a million other places to go and many other reservations that treat you civil like the one I grew up on...

We stopped in for the night on our way up to Ouray Colorado. The overnight accommodations and the food at Kuchu's was top notch. I highly recommend staying here unless you like to drink they don't serve or sell alcohol here and that's fine by me because I don't require liquor to have a great time.

The hotel area at night. Each room has it's own balcony.

Rooms were well-priced, clean and nicely decorated. We planned to stay one night and stayed two. The bathroom sink was too high for me. I am just under 5'. The repeated signs in the lobby indicating that only hotel guests were allowed past a certain point or in a certain area made me worried. If that is the case, maybe a locked door that requires a room key? What happens here? Why all the notices? But the room was comfortable and we did not feel unsafe. The casino is fairly small but we had fun. Lots of security. Random people just hanging around and not actually gambling, talking or doing anything. Strange but unconcerning. Just as an FYI, this is a dry casino. No alcohol, no marijuana, no drugs allowed on the premises, at all.

Fajitas well made and wonderful taste.

Stayed in this casino hotel for one night when traveling back to Colorado. The room was very nice. We did not have any noise from the hotel. We tried the restaurant in the casino and the food was delicious and great prices for the food. Though we were there during a busy time and had a 15 minute wait but it was worth it. Casino was busy so we did not play any of the slots. Smoking is allowed in the casino area. But there is a nonsmoking area also. All the employees were helpful and very nice. Great service. Look forward to staying here again.

Chair inside room very dirty, but rest of room clean. The room was otherwise clean, but we definitely did not sit on this chair!

$1.99 breakfast--and it was good! Besides the dirty chair in room--other negative was NO FRIDGE in room! Cannot even pay extra for one. Only available in suite, I was told.

    Nice sized King room.

We were so excited to stay here and it did NOT disappoint! What a truly remarkable resort,…read moresurrounded by beautiful desert! We were greeted immediately upon arrival and the front desk staff were all very friendly and accommodating. They have a nice gift shop and a small grocery area for necessities and snacks. Our room was HUGE and super comfortable! Clean, nicely decorated and very roomy. LOVED the option to get 3 queen sized beds, and loved the attached patio that provided gorgeous red rock views and immediate access to one of the fire pits. I enjoyed a dinner from the onsite restaurant on the patio and also enjoyed some relaxing time at the fire pit once it was lit. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am, and they start to turn off the fire pits just prior to that. Also loved the ability to stream on the television from my phone with Chromecast. We also purchased some snacks at the store. I'm already planning to visit here again, hopefully for a longer stay!

I'd leave zero if I could…read more I made a reservation, that was all well and good. Then I had to cancel my reservation four days prior to our arrival. We got word that my mother in law was very ill and was going to die. We had to cancel our travel plans. I called immediately and spoke to a woman at the front desk. She said she would take care of it. Stupid me, I trusted her. She didn't. A few weeks later, I see a one night charge on my card (that's their policy, if you're a no-show you're charged one night). Uh, no, I called and canceled! So I called again and asked to speak to the manager. That was a no, he doesn't take phone calls and I had to email him. I did. Twice. No response. I submitted a dispute with my credit card but I shouldn't have to. This bonehead of a manager should 1) take calls from confused (and now, angry) guests) and 2) respond to emails. So, screw you Best Western Turquoise Inn. The manager there is a jerk and the front desk woman I spoke with is incompetent. You can bet your ass we will never stay at your hotel. Not only did we lose my mother in law, but I was wrongfully charged $60 despite me being responsible and canceling. I'm being punished for your employee's lack of follow through.

I booked a one night room for my nephew's birthday way before the pool broke down. I drove all the way from California to be with them. When I got there and told them the situation they said I can have a refund for the one night on his birthday because I booked it before the pool notice was up. They needed a manager to assist with this but she wasn't in. I stayed an additional 7 nights and went to the front desk everyday and the manager was never there. I gave my room number and left my personal name and number. Never got my refund. Seems shady to me.

I looked on Google for hotels, but all the listings (commercial ads) were $90+ so I pulled into a place that the place with the sign that said, "Historic Hotel, Low Rates, Free Wifi". The office staffer, Connie, was amazingly nice. She gave me a "National Park Pass" discount of $10 so my room was under $70. Price is nice, but the room was truly "historic" AND very clean. Queen bed with lots of room to walk around it and a large bathroom. Plus the Wifi was lightening fast. I download all my photos from the Grand Canyon without so much as a slow down. I stayed here in August 2019, which judging by past reviews, was shortly after the change in ownership. Check-in was alright and I was directed to a room in the front of the property. When I pulled up to my room, a staff member doing work on the came up to me and asked for my room key so he could turn on the AC and make sure the room was ready...okay. This might just be my New York paranoia talking, but I gave the room a thorough inspection when I got inside. The room was a 50s motel room, which was about what I expected. Furniture was dated, but it was clean. The internet password was not posted prominently and required me to read the fine print in the guide. Most hotels post the wifi password prominently and don't expect you to spend 15 minutes looking all over the room for it. Once I got that settled, the room was generally quiet and comfortable. The next morning, renovation work was going on pretty early in the morning. Thankfully, I wanted an early start anyway, so I wasn't bothered. This property worked for the night, but I'm not sure I'd return. Independent motels are always a gamble and, unfortunately, this one didn't live up to the past reviews.
