If you're thinking of taking a trip down to southeastern Utah... Do it!! I had the privilege to stay at this hidden gem in the breathtaking desert and I can't wait to go back. I was greeted with genuine hospitality and the staff ensured comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. My room was immaculate and HUGE, decorated with a blend of modern amenities and rustic charm. I had a stunning view from my balcony, making the morning an absolute pleasure. I took advantage of Bluff Dwelling's amenities, including the outdoor pool and hot tub, which was a perfect way to unwind. The resort grounds were well maintained and the surrounding felt like a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There is even a trail to lead you to a beautiful overlook of the desert mesas. I was pleasantly surprised by the on-site kitchen and their menu options. The hours are a little wonky, but they have a menu to cater towards anyone and loved the atmosphere of the little hut. The resort's location is prime for exploring. Within driving distance, you can see Monument Valley (Forrest Gump Road), Mexican Hat, Valley of the Gods, and Natural Bridges National Monument! I could not recommend Bluff Dwellings Resort more. 10/10 stay. read more

If you blink you might miss this gem located in Bluff Utah. This resort is built into the side of a hill providing spectacular views. The rooms are beautiful and provide all the top amenities. The resort offers one of best restaurants in town; the firebrick pizzas are all delicious! The place balances modern and quaint. At night you can go outside by 1 of 3 fire pits. It's so quiet it feels like camping in a hotel. The staff was fantastic too. Bluff is a great midpoint between monument Valley and The Arches. If you needs a great place to stay in between this is the place stay. read more

What an awesome find in remote southeast Utah. Very well appointed rooms and facility . Best 4 nights sleeping on super comfortable bed. Sit outside you room out back around fire pit and viewing some towering bluffs to relax in the evening . Associated guide service was one of the best attractions. We did a ATV tour to Arch Canyon with a guide who had an extensive knowledge base of the ancients. Also went Canyoneering with Wild Expeditions and had a great experience. The small but capable restaurant on the site was a great addition. Didn't have to go off the property to get good food, better than other restaurants in the small town. We are so impressed we are planning to return soon. Very well managed small resort. Customer service was excellent. If you are seeking a serene location and access to a multitude of activities or just want to kick back, this is the place. read more

Absolutely loved our stay here! It's conveniently located from Monument Valley and 2 hours ish from Arches and Canyonlands. This was a good place for us after a long day of driving to Monument Valley to where we couldn't have driven any further, but wanted to be close ish to Moab for the next day. The lobby is super cute and the staff is very friendly. They sell a lot of the stuff you may need like sunblock and even swimsuits if you forgot one. The property is beautiful, nestled among the rocks with the most unique Pueblo style construction for the rooms. The rooms were beautiful and very clean, with a nice balcony. They also have the ability to connect your own Netflix which is super cool. The shower has two types of shower heads, the detachable one and the waterfall kind which is a nice luxury. The pool is super nice and also very scenic. I would happily come back again - we only stayed one night but I'd have stayed for two to go back to Monument Valley and even just to chill at the resort. read more

We had driven by this beautiful hotel many times on our way to and from Moab, Utah, and even stopped once to visit the lobby and gift shop and grab a brochure. We vowed the next time we came through we would stay here, and we are so glad that we did! The way this place was designed you would think it was an ancient community that somehow magically survived to the present day completely intact! No effort was spared in making the buildings--which are a mixture of hotel rooms, cabins and tipis--blend into the surrounding landscape, whose primary feature is sheer red rock walls on both sides of the canyon/highway running through the area. Just absolutely stunning! And inside the rooms you can see that the attention to detail didn't stop at the front door. There are gorgeous exposed wooden beams and stuccoed niches with interesting artifacts. And there are several communal features as well, including numerous fire pits, fireplaces, a swimming pool and hot tub and even a breakfast-and-supper place onsite. There is also a spa! We just did not have time to check everything out this first visit, but I can tell you we would love to return and explore it even more! What a truly quiet, peaceful, beautiful place! read more

Nice place to stay if you're visiting the bears ears area! Spacious clean rooms and comfortable bed! Wood fired pizzas were good from the cafe as well. Most people who come to Utah prob never come this southeast but it's absolutely gorgeous! And being in the middle of nowhere this hotel is a gem. read more

This was a great place to stay. Beautiful property, friendly staff, huge, sparkling clean rooms. We stayed in the Family Dwelling which was thoughtfully equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen. It wasn't quite 5 stars, more like 4.5, but I'll err on the generous side. The spa service I got was kinda meh, and the food at the "snack shack" while perfectly decent, took a very long time every time we ordered something, but those are very small and probably way too picky issues. Overall, this place was great and we will definitely be going back soon! read more

Perhaps one of the best paces we've stayed. Unique setting, wonderful room, nice staff! We stayed 5 nights in a Dwelling (king) and it is completely worth it, nice kitchen, bedroom, bath, and den. Plus the fantastic patio, (ok, the grill was a bit weaker than mine at home but it got the job done). The surroundings cannot be matched-you look upon an amazing bluff. Nice surprise was the Cedar Shack on-site. We had breakfast a few time from there; and pizza one night with excellent salads. Plus their smoothies are wonderful. The staff was always friendly and helpful. They not only helped with ideas for places to explore but even had ideas for local places to eat. And we were there during the height of delta-COVID and they had and followed all precautions. Respectful and professional! If we were in the area again, we would stay and, likewise, if you're in the area stay here! It is the best! read more

Oh my gosh we came here for our anniversary and it was the best! They called us before to ask if there was anything they could do to make it special, we told them it was our anniversary. When we arrived they left us a bottle of sparkling cider and some chocolate! We came while it was still a little cold, but it was still such a good time! They have a nice hot tub, and during the day we explored the town and history of bluff. We went to the spa at the resort and had THE BEST couples massage we have ever had! I had the best facial I've ever had. I don't usually write reviews, but all of the staff is AMAZING, and make you feel very welcome, and this place deserves 10/10 reviews! Overall, this place wasn't what we were looking for to treat ourselves for our anniversary. It's a decent place in a lovely location, but not for us. Pros: staff were friendly and helpful, and offered a full refund when I had a reaction the the room we were staying in (I have an environmentally acquired illness that can make me get sick in some buildings). The bluffs are pretty. The hotel compound has several things for an entertaining vacation. Soaking tub in the tower suite was enjoyable but not worth the suite price. Cons: This is straight up not a resort. Left out of all those wide angle and nicely lit shots on their website is the fact that the hotel is right next to the highway, not the secluded resort it sells itself as. The Tower Suite oversells itself as a luxury suite with private patio (with photo of vast patio, which is actually shared--the private patio the suite has is actually a normal sized patio facing the bluffs), but it's more of a large hotel room and a medium quality one at that, complete with wall scuffs, worn furnishings, and a firm and uncomfortable bed. To boot, they're working on new buildings down the way, which was not overly bothersome, but the moderate noise for sure took away from the vacation feel. The tower building (building 2) --and maybe they're all constructed like this--was very noisy. You could hear neighbors and housekeeping. It felt less like a vacation and more like we borrowed a friend's okay apartment for the night. They're lacking in the details you look for in a vacation splurge, but I guess the lesson is that we'll have to look in a different location and pay way more. read more

Overall (and especially for the area!) I am giving Bluff Dwellings a 5-star review. The great: POOL - we were literally out there for 4 hours with our kids, they loved the little slide. The pool is not large but adequately sized, and it is nicely outfitted with loungers under shade awnings, tables with umbrellas, etc. The food at the cafe was good and reasonably priced. We had pizzas for dinner and breakfast burritos the following morning. All served with a smile. Since dining is so limited in the area, this is a huge plus! Rooms are nicely sized (we had a room with two double beds) and have a microwave and mini fridge. I believe there are rooms that come with a kitchen as well, and I saw grills outside near the fire pits (which were also really nice!). Staff was very friendly. The little gift shop / market has cold drinks, snacks, etc. They really thought of everything you might need for your stay. The watch outs: If you have a bottom floor room, expect to hear the folks above you. We were still listening to very loud foot traffic (and kids outside yelling by the communal fire pits) at 10:30PM. I would need to get one of the stand-alone dwellings next time, although I'm sure they cost more. Or at least stay in a top floor unit. Another thing we did not appreciate was that there were four children using the pool who were the children of (or under the care of) one of the cleaning staff. Yes, I am 100% sure of this - not speculating. First of all, the pool isn't large so you're infringing on the space of your paying guests. Secondly, the kids weren't supervised at all (ranging in age from maybe 7-10?) when there's a sign posted that explicitly says no unsupervised children under 14 can use the pool. They were rowdy and making MY kids not want to use the pool. It wasn't appreciated. read more

When I booked the resort, the pictures looked beautiful, but oh my gosh, this place is absolutely gorgeous in person!! I was immediately impressed with the kind folks in the lobby who answered all our questions and accommodated all our needs. They offer plenty of excursions, and we booked a river rafting tour and our guide was with the resort manager himself, Dallin (we hit the jackpot!). The rooms themselves are situated within several separate buildings. Upon walking into our room, I gasped because the room was so large, clean and beautiful. We got the triple queen, which was perfect for our family of four. French doors led into our own, semi-private patio, and then a common area with couches, Adirondack chairs, a fire pit, and fireplace all built up against the cliff. Such a beautiful area to have morning coffee, meditate, read a book, and enjoy a glass of wine. The Cedar Shack Cafe was literally steps from our door, serving up delicious food at a reasonable price: specialty coffees, wood fired pizza, Buffalo wings, sandwiches, breakfast burritos, waffles topped with ice cream, smoothies, and more! Made life so easy to grab something here instead of driving. There's also a nice little market in the lobby that sells cold beer, drinks, candy and other snacks, along with beautiful Indian jewelry, river shoes, bucket hats, outerwear and more. The pool area is also dazzling! Beautiful area with beach towels provided. The hot tub is huuuge and the bathrooms were incredibly clean and air conditioned, unlike so many other gross pool bathrooms. There was also a great looking play area for the kiddos. Bluff Dwellings is truly a gem! The staff's attention to quality runs through everything, from the finishes and furniture, to the amenities and food, to the general desert/Native vibes. read more

Don't waste your money!! The walls are paper thin you can hear people walking up the stairs from your room with the TV on as well as conversations happening in the halls. Definitely not a "resort", similar to a 3 star hotel or motel. The customer service at front desk and manager on duty when I went were far from 5 star. Their onsite cafe that is like school cafeteria lunch closes early. This resort is in the middle of no where. Takes 2 hours to get to the closet grocery store. Only 3 restaurants that are not 2 hours away and it'll cost you over $35 to get a decent meal. Also there is one gas station with extremely high gas prices because it's also the only one for 2 hours. Oh and if you send an email to the "resort" you will get no response. read more

My family and I stayed here for just one night, and had lots of fun! The room was spectacular, clean, and comfortable. We stayed in the 3 bed Pueblo and had more than enough space! We had private fire pits outside our room, that was wonderful!! The pool is a fantastic space. They have small fountains in the shallow end, and a fun rock slide that goes into the pool! They also have a gorgeous hot tub, nice and large. We decided to all get massages from Sam and Skyann at the Hozho spa at the resort, and they were more then excellent! The staff all around the resort are wonderful, full of life, and very accommodating. the only downside is the small eatery they have on sight is only open weekends, but they're working on opening it week days as well! All in all my family and I had a wonderful time and would stay there any time again and again!! read more

Stayed one night coming back from Moab and down into Phoenix area. Was not impressed with this place at all.... It is not a 'resort'. I would call it a nicer version of a motel and even though it was new, the decor appears to be 20 years old to me. Our room on the bottom was extremely noisy with people above. The rooms have hard floors and you can hear every footstep. We could also easily hear people talking in other rooms. There is no restaurant and I can't imagine what the 'spa' is like. I mean it, is what it is, a small boutique one-off place. The biggest turn off was when we mentioned that noise that the owner went off on how well it was built and this and that. Nothing about sorry... The pictures show the 'best' of this area, the rest of it is very rundown. read more

We had an amazing stay-- this place is beautiful, with lots of attention to detail that makes it just wonderful. The rooms are spacious and well-designed, the outdoor fire pit was a lovely place to relax and watch the sunset, and the outdoor balcony was wonderful for sunrise. The owner and front desk staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful, and our only regret was not staying for another night or two! We appreciated their extra attention to cleanliness due to COVID, and felt comfortable that they were doing everything possible to ensure our safety. read more

We stayed one night from 9/18-9/19 and although the pool and spa were lovely, the room was terrible. The bathroom had hundreds of bugs. They appeared in the evening and although we complained, we were offered NOTHING. We were told that's just what happens. They come out in the light or with moisture. BUGS are just part of the experience. We reserved a larger ground floor room but we were told they get up to the second floor. Stay here if you want to share the night with bugs! read more

When we got here it was just what the Dr ordered! Awesome pool for the kids and A hot tub with spectacular views! So clean and the rooms are so nice love the bathroom showers and tub! The room was nicely laid out and clean. The staff very friendly. It IS nestled in a nice location. The problem we had was in the experience. A resort typically is self contained, with spa services, food, and entertainment. I understand that with Covid precautions things are quite different. Breakfast in a bag was offered. The three places to eat in this desolate town shake the visitors down, even one swiping 20% tips without consent. In a town with $20 small10" pizzas and $40 chewy steaks to go....I would say find another place to stay. During the Covid crisis it's better to not expect an experience at a "resort". Our fault for thinking we could get an experience but the website should warn that their services are nonexistent or reduced so that expectations are not dashed upon arrival. read more

What a great surprise in the middle of nowhere! We booked it because with looked nice and was on our way but ended up staying an extra because it was awesome! The scenery was fantastic! The kids loved the pool and the little slide. The "hiking trail" behind the hotel was super neat and primitive and gave the kids a real adventure on the bluffs! The snack shack was shockingly impressive with great selections and fresh ingredients. The wood fired pizza was a fantastic surprise! The kids who are working the shack should be proud of themselves! Staff was great the small "store" had a good selection of treats, adult beverages and other necessities! The ONLY thing I could even wish for was an on property guest laundry but it deserves all 5 stars even with no laundry. If you are doing the 4 Corners, National Park All American trip, stop and stay here for an extra day!! Head there after Canyonland or Moab. The pool is heated, the hot tub was great, staff and grounds are really nice! Worth it!!! read more

This place was amazing!!!! The bed was beyond comfortable, the room was a perfect size, the rainfall shower head was a special touch! The back/patio area was relaxing. The fire pit was absolutely stunning, not one but two of them!! Everything about this place was well thought out, fantastic and a perfect getaway to relax from the world. It was newly opened when we stayed, due to covid a lot of things were still shut down but that didn't stop our fun. There's a grocery store about 15-20 mins up the road called Clark's, beer you can grab at gas stations, a tiny liquor store but the hours were odd. There's a grill out by the patio area if you feel like cooking, the pool was sparkling clean and the jacuzzi was the perfect temperature! Aside from covid keeping most things closed or take out only, it was in a perfect area. Nicely secluded, nestled at the bottom of a hill surround by cliffs. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful, gave us plenty of places to try for food even though most of it was takeout. They suggested different areas to explore for hiking. We went kayaking down the river and watched the sunset from Valley of the Gods. I can't wait to go back to this place! 4 days wasn't enough, plan on staying a week or so! read more
