The retro-cool look of the Mokee Hotel! Awesome!

An amazing little place in a fantastic little town! The property is a classic old hotel that is very well maintained. Though we never met any of the staff, all of our needs were met very well. The town and the property are very quiet and relaxed. The hotel is within easy walking distance to Bluff Fort, which I highly recommend, and all of Bluff which is an awesome small town, where the people are super friendly . . .the drive in from Monument Valley was also great! I am very glad we stopped here. It was a flawless stop over and we will return.

We love the individual cabins and when traveling with family the larger cabins are perfect! If you are lucky enough to stay while their restaurant Duke's is open I highly recommend eating there for dinner. The breakfast is better than any I have ever had and the staff are all friendly and always helpful! I promise you cannot go wrong when staying here.

Super cute spot to stay on the Rez. I wish the amenities stayed open later like the washer/dryer…read moreand ice machine. The room we stayed in was nice and clean. I recommend better pillows though, we had like a million pillows on the bed but they were all small and thin. I would say hit the chair with a green machine because it seems stained, as well as the lamp shade was stained too. We had a toy roll under the drawers and it def needs a good vacuuming as it has other items under there too that we're not from us. It would be nice to have a little night light in the room as it's pitch black, we stayed with our toddler and had to keep a lamp on at night to see anything. Continental breakfast is decent, I'd like to have seen Apple juice since OJ is super sugary for kids. The WiFi is awesome! The TV channels are super basic so I'd recommend maybe install streaming Apps for guests. The staff is super nice and they all seem to like being there. Would def stay here again when visiting family again.

The place is and elevated motel in a quaint town of Blanding. You're greeted at arrival by a kindly and courtesy host. I love no door key to lose just a code to get into your room. The parking lot is nicely set up the lodge is surrounded by lovely plants and trees. We had a nice patio set outside which we used to have dinner. Our room was quite large w a big bed there's two night stands a desk area large tv on and dresser; another bed in an alcove is great for another person to have a bit of privacy w a night stand. The room had a microwave, fridge and coffee maker w a selections of coffee and teas. Bathroom was large and a great shower area w a nice shower head that had good hot water when needed. The amenities were awesome. The soap smelled great and had an amazing exfoliating seeds build in. The body lotion felt so luxurious on my skin. Towels and bed linens were perfect. If you read my posts about food you know I'm a water snob well when lodging in a sheet snob (my husband would say I'm like the princess and the pea). The sheets were soft and comfy. We had a restful nights sleep and awesome shower w great pressure. We then we welcomed to a breakfast all homemade even seemed the juices we fresher squeezed. I had the savory crusty bread w egg, tomato, kielbasa, ham and cheese inside it was so yummy. They had whole wheat cinnamon rolls that the frosting was great as well as the great flavor. The overnight chia was great loved the creaminess of the mixture but the fruit on top was fresh. The oj was as fresh and the coffee (I'm not a coffee drink but my mom said it was great). She gave us banana bread to take and it was dense and great. We ate breakfast in the back garden which was pretty and peaceful. They had patio tables, picnic tables but also had chaises and fire pits. I love that they had a bowl of chocolate to choose from rather than a chocolate on your pillow (which always seems weird and bring bugs. I would go here again and hope I get back to the area to do

The owner also kindly called to greet me. Rooms are very comfortable and tastefully furnished, a great back yard to sit and chat with other travelers, and up to date facilities. My bathroom window even moved position to keep out light from outside. Lovely place.

Errr Ma Gerrr! I love this place!…read more I recently stayed here as part of a car rally and I was immediately enchanted by the whole property. Living in a major city, you get used to the Cement Jungle, but when you stay at the Hat Rock Inn, it's a whole other world. First, there's the San Juan River right outside our door. It took me about an hour to realize the river was RIGHT THERE! I kept hearing donkeys braying, and locating them is how I found the river. In the morning, there were a bunch of cows! Now if you know me and have read my reviews, I'm all about the hot tub. This property was booked ahead of time by the car rally, so I was thankful that they had a working whirlpool. They have a beautiful outdoor pool/hot tub. You can see out to the stars. My husband and I spent a lot of time pruning our skin and debating whether we were looking at the Big or Little Dipper. It was heavenly. The staff are very nice and told us a little bit about the Hogan (Navajo Mud Huts). There was also a situation where the sink and toilet plugged up. I'm guessing they run on pumps because after I called the Front Desk to report the overflow, about 15 minutes later the water drained itself and all was good. The rooms were very comfortable and there is a small fridge included. Parking is right in front of your door. This place is great for active people. I would not recommend it for people that don't walk too much. The ground is dirt and rock around the area and you have to step up a 2 ft cement walkway to get into your room. If you have a wheelchair, I would mention that in your reservation so you get the room closest to the ramp. I would recommend Hat Rock Inn and look forward to planning a trip around staying here in the future.

Perched in a relatively remote location, the Hat Rock Inn offers a nice vantage along the San Juan…read moreRiver, with views of the bluffs from the lovely pool and patio areas. The rooms are comfortable and spacious enough, but service overall is a bit lacking. The front desk is not open until after 2 p.m., and the staff members are not particularly well informed, given that this is a town with almost no general service or supply options (e.g., the hotel itself offers no dining or coffee, and the person at the desk pointed us to a pizza restaurant that has been closed for months). The housekeeping staff left something to be desired as well. Service is upon request, but that means tracking someone down and ensuring a one-for-one trade of dirty and clean. Understandable, but when I ask for one clean washcloth and am instead handed two or three by a given staff member, I don't expect to be chided by another staff member standing with us in the supply room. What it lacked in hospitality and service, it did make up for in scenery.

Absolutely in love with our double queen balcony view room!…read more After seeing The View Hotel pop up on my Instagram reels a few months ago, I knew this is exactly where we needed to book during our motorcycle trip. I booked by calling the property directly. You will pay a $10/ vehicle charge to enter Tribal Land at the toll booth a quarter mile from the hotel parking lot. Make sure you keep this receipt if you plan on leaving the parking lot AND the one you'll get from the hotel front desk while checking in! We knew there were no laundry facilities on site, so plan accordingly. I brought over some soap bars from the hotel we stayed at before arriving to The View & washed what I needed to in the bathroom sink. Let my items hang dry at the balcony chairs less than 2 hours- dry as can be. The water pressure in the shower/ bath tub is amazing and there are shampoo, conditioner, & shower gel dispensers available. The scent reminds me of what greets you in the main lobby. I truly wish these toiletry items were sold in the gift shop, because they smell that good! In our room, there's a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker & personal safe for your belongings. Don't forget to claim your bottles of water at The View Restaurant! And redeem your gift certificate to shop at the Trading Post. Which offers a huge selection of Native jewelry, shirts, hats, and other goods. Although it says Complimentary Continental Breakfast available, on your check in papers- there are additional breakfast options besides sliced bread, bagels, & muffins. Assorted dry cereals whole milk & 2% milk. Crispy potatoes, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, pork sausage. Fruit cups, fresh apples, yogurt cups. A deli is available from 10am- 5pm, since The View Restaurant is closed for lunch. But, open for dinner (closes at 10 pm). Be mindful of the last seating time, I think is 9:30pm- since table service is provided. Staff has been friendly and helpful. There are no hot tubs & pools, for extra activities at the property. But, I think an exercise room is available. There are tour companies here at the hotel parking lot AND other tour outfits at the traffic circle - Navajo Welcome Center. We stopped at Basha's Dine' in Kayenta before checking into our hotel. That way we could have our snacks, bottled waters, and fresh fruit of choice before arriving.

The restaurant is 2/5 rating. We ordered navajo taco which cost over $20. The fried bread looked and tasted like socky naan bread at best. We asked if they can make them without beans, the cashier who took an order said they come already mixed, so no. No modification can be made. She also not friendly. Overall, the hotel itself is good. The service however lack friendliness. Staff here are not that welcoming. They are not rude but also not hospitable. To be fair, the reason to stay here is the view of monument valley. I still recommend to stay here for experience. One tip though, bring food. They have microwave and the fridge.
