While I think they did a good job and I like their products, they were super expensive and I still had 14 more windows that needed to be replaced. In May of this year I started to seriously consider getting the rest replaced. Enter Alpine Exteriors. They provided the third bid and landed in the middle price wise. They were considerably less expensive than Champion (no surprise) and slightly more expensive than a no name company that came out selling cheap quality windows. But Alpine Exteriors quality, service, and selection really stood out. I met with the owner, Hiram Molloy, at my home and there was zero sales pressure and no games. He has access to a number of different windows at all different price points, so he was able to find something in my budget and a quality I was happy with. They were installed a couple weeks ago and that was the real test. I'm pretty OCD and I want perfection. I'm never fully satisfied because that would be impossible, but the installers did a nice job. They were friendly and detail oriented. I asked a lot of questions and spent a fair amount of time watching the install and they were courteous and obviously knew what they were doing. They also cleaned up the mess and used preventative measures around my furniture to keep the mess at a minimum. Upon final cleanup they collected all the stickers from the windows and placed them on copy paper so I could apply for the rebate. Hiram followed through on his promise and mailed me all the rebate paperwork with instructions. If you are looking for a quality window company that offers a competitive price and does what they say they are going to do, look no further than Alpine Exteriors.

Instead, he wasted 30 minutes delivering an aggressive sales pitch about his product before even addressing the task at hand. After I redirected him to focus on measurements, he asked to inspect the windows from outside. He measured one window with a tape measure, moved to the next, and when I asked if he was recording the measurements, he casually admitted he wasn't, saying, "Oh, if you want me to write them down, I'll grab a pen and paper, but I can just count them for a bid." To my disbelief, he then walked around my house, visually glanced at all 30 windows without measuring a single one, and later emailed me a vague bid exceeding $100,000. The bid lacked any details about window types, material grades, or specifications. For context, this was my third contractor visit. The previous two contractors meticulously measured every window, discussed material quality and energy efficiency, and provided detailed bids ranging from $30,000 to $40,000. This company's lack of professionalism, transparency, and integrity is appalling--steer clear if you value quality and honesty.

Enter Murray Glass on 4800 South in Murray, Utah. they were able to straighten out the frame, but couldn't get a freakin' hinge from LEER to finish the job. They searched high and low for a substitute and finally settled on a stainless steel piano hinge. Putting this on was a "Hail Mary" pass! Long story short, the job ain't as pretty as I would have liked, but it works! I like the way the company worked to find a solution to my problem, and the way the team at Murray Glass work together to get a tough job done!

I have repeated problems with 3 windows that were replaced some years back, they have had to be…read morereplaced twice because they were put in backwards. The wood around them is now warping, apparently the installer caulked in the peephole. Again, 2 kids came out, changed out bottom peephole, used a ton of caulking and actually took the liberty to cut the wood out in odd little squares. I have been trying to get them back to fix the mess for weeks. The guy I have talked to is arrogant and condescending. Such a bad experience with Homestar, Milgards windows are great, Homestar installation, etc is not. At 71, I do not deserve to be treated like this, sick to my stomach, just hire some competent help and remember who you are working for, the customer.​​​​​​​

I've had to return to change my rating from 5 stars to 2…read more Here's the reasons- 1) Although our sales rep was great, a 90 minute appointment ended up being almost four hours long. 2) After telling our sales rep "no" multiple times, he called his supervisor ya know sale tactic of the supervisor giving us a better deal, we still said "no". Then the sales rep said "well I can give up my commission". Just a weird interaction but he tried hard and the explanation of product was good so he got the review 3) But then I've gotten multiple calls from the company everyday since. Despite me communicating to the sales rep, the sales reps manager he called, and the first call agent they keep calling. 4) I literally had to tell one of the agents calling me back why I didn't like the product again and deal with the agent tryin to question my no! Like they actually tried to do another sales pitch. Honestly such weird sale tactics. The desperation is what changed my review. If a company was as good as they are saying they are, there is no way they'd continue to push after such firm no's in the methods they are using. The fact that it's multiple calls a day (my cell and my partners) from different numbers is also crazy. Just weird. It was 8k for the sliding glass door alone btw
