We had our windows done by Window World about 10 years ago, but every time I have needed anything, they have been very helpful and either explained in detail how to fix something over the phone if it was an easy fix or they've come out and done any repairs that are needed. Recently, we had new siding put on our house and the company that did the siding caused our windows to shift when they were too rough with the prybar, pulling the old siding off. This left a gap on two windows on the inside of the house. Window World came out the same day that I called them about it and fixed it even though it was the other companies fault. read more

We had all of our windows replaced a few years ago through this business and loved them because the warranty was supposedly forever. We've had some problems with some of our windows and tried to get them fixed. The owners wife actually told us they won't cover them anymore because it's been too long and just to go onto YouTube and watch a video and fix them ourselves. The thing that was wrong with our window had the potential to cut someone's arm off if you didn't know what you were doing, which I told her. It took several months before someone finally came out because we told them we would be happy to pay to get them fixed. read more

We did not have a good experience. The customer service is terrible, after waiting for months for our window to be made it was missing parts. Then the install wasn't done how we had discussed with the salesman. The salesman came back out to look telling us no problem they would fix it. A month went by with no phone call. Two months later we still don't have the shelf that should have come with the window and the window is unfinished in our kitchen. Not once has the salesman called me to update me with when or how they are going to fix it. I have had to call him every time to ask for the progress. The installer who claims to be an "owner" had a terrible attitude and was rude. I was shocked that the owner would treat his customers so badly. He cut me off mid sentence and basically told us it was our fault that the window wasn't installed how we had asked it to be done. This window cost $2000 and has taken over 3 months of trying to get them to just finish the thing. Don't bother with these guys it is not worth your time and money. The window is almost two years old and has been having leaking problems. My husband had to use a sealant to get it to stop. I would not recommend or purchase windows from them again. Since then we have had windows installed in our basement from valley glass. The windows are beautiful and haven't had any issues through the weather. Go with them instead. read more

The prices and product may be okay but the customer service in Murray is horrible. They didn't let me know when my windows would arrive (10 weeks after ordering) and due to snow, they failed to show up on the scheduled installation date and FAILED to notify me that they wouldn't show up! I wasted half a day waiting for them to arrive and had to call and find out they couldn't drive in the snow. Horrible communication and customer service. read more

Steps of purchasing a window through Window World. 1. Get estimate - Technician comes to your home and measures the window. 2. Second Measurement - Must put down a deposit (half the cost of the window) at this step. For some unfathomable reason they don't take a sufficient measurement in step 1 so they come out and take another measurement. *** They showed up two hours late and likely would not have shown up if we didn't call to ask where they were.*** 3. They order your window which takes 10-12 weeks. 4. Not at this step yet, but I am guessing they eventually install the window. Will adjust review after completion. I don't know that their costs justify a 4 month buying experience. Their customer service is horrendous. I guess you get what you pay for. read more

It took a few months to have our 6 windows custom made & we were really nervous about having them installed in mid-January. But the installation went like clockwork. The installers, Kevin & Eric, were here on time & had the 1st 2 windows installed within a half hour. They were so fast I don't think the furnace kicked on. The measurements were so spot on there was no time wasted on any window. Plus that, they vacuumed & dusted & I think they left the house cleaner than they found it. We've had a lot of remodeling done & this experience ranks at the top of the list for quality. read more

The product is pretty great and the sales people really prove how great the windows react to temperature changes. The installers were friendly but left a mess. The Windows had some air coming in around it. I could feel a breeze, I was able to fix it myself, but I felt the installers should have taken the time to make sure everything was sealed. They also stepped on my flowers and crushed them:(. Overall the end result was great but it requires much more effort on my part than I get it should. read more

This is an initial review and is subject to change. We are replacing our front door. The salesman was very nice, engaging and easy to deal with. He was knowledgeable of his products, etc. The guy who came to measure the door was kind of a...well let's just say he had a bit of an attitude and I just couldn't bond. We got a call from the company asking us to change the install date from 3/9 to 3/10. Being the nice people we are, we said no problem. When the installers came with the new door, they were very nice and got right to it. They removed the old door, put the new door in and realized that the jam was about 11/2 inches too small. It was 51/2 and should have been 6 5/8 inches. They made a call and told me they could install it and have a guy come back and rig some trim to cover the remaining unfinished jam. Hell, I will have almost 5K into this thing and believe I should get what I pay for. Fortunately they didn't destroy the old door and were able to reinstall it. They told me they would reorder the new door with the correct sized jam. Due to travel, we will now have to wait until late May to get this mess finished. I have heard nothing from the company since. Sure, it's only been two days, but if it was my company that screwed up, I would be on the phone with the customer and reassuring that customer that this shit would be taken care of ASAP! I am definitely NOT impressed. Sure things get done wrong sometimes, I get that. I didn't begin to get upset with the installers as I realized it wasn't their fault. So I'm just left hanging here with not one word from these people? UPDATE: They must have read this review. All issues resolved! In fact, Rich is coming out today to look at two more doors :) The new front door is really nice, and at a cost less than my trusted remodel guy! read more

I am posting this only because I have heard their ad playing on the radio of the good guys in the industry approach......DON't BE FOOLED!!! Our experience with window world began with a referral and tremendous hope after meeting with our sales person. He was personable and made my fiance and I feel at ease about the largest purchase of our lives outside a home/car. We were replacing every window in our home plus a sliding glass door. We met with a number of other companies but kept coming back to window world for their straight forward pricing/quality and promised customer service. After signing the order, we had about 8-12 weeks of silence but we were told 3 months so not worried. Shortly after that is when everything went down hill. Measurement guy came out measured every window in the house in about 15 min. That is 13 windows and sliding glass door measured in about a minute each...he must be a pro? Not he didn't right down 2 windows info and during the install process the installers mentioned he does it all the time. Now to the installers...watch their every move. They could careless about your home and the quality of their work. We noticed sizable gaps around a window that wasn't finished and they were about to seal up. We asked about it were told that it would be foamed as the holes are not perfect so gaps are normal. My fiance mentioned not seeing foam on the previous windows so after day 1 crew left we pealed back the trim and found every window installed had no foam and gaps over 1/8 most were 3/8+ gabs completely unsealed. You can spend all the money in the world on premium windows but if the cold/hot air can come in around them what did i just spend $7,000 on! My list goes on and on from metal pieces cover my yard, giant holes caused by the pry bars, zero follow up from management.....Seriously I could go on on on. Don't be fooled by them and look else where for your new windows. read more

I absolutely love my new windows and sliding glass door. Wish I could give a review on the storm door we ordered, but it had to be returned. Window world gets and A+ when it comes to their sales, installation and office team. Jared & Rebecca are AMAZING! I wish I knew the names of our installers because they, too, were AWESOME! Their owner, Doug gets an F- for customer service. Due to a wrong measurement on the initial and final measure appointment, the door had to be returned with no replacement option. (By the way, Doug did the final measurement and said it was our fault the door was wrong because we had a substandard size of door...wait, what? That is your job. Measuring. My windows weren't standard sizes either, but they were measured for twice and they were just fine at installation). We realize that circumstances changed the possibility of the door being installed, however, blaming the customer and a stone mason does not remove the fact that the problem began with faulty measuring and the inability to deliver the corrected door in a timely manner. It began with Window World, that is where the initial fault lies, and ultimately ends. We understand that because our stone mason moved forward on his work it caused the door to be "uninstallable". We own that. A refusal to come out an meet with my husband and I. A refusal to bring our door out (that we paid cash for upfront) so we could see what, if anything, could be done. Blaming the receptionist for not putting us on his schedule and missing the appointment when we were both home. Showing up when we weren't home (with no apt) to look at the situation. Window World should stick to windows. I wish I would have researched more reviews, as it seems they have had numerous problems with the door installations. I will take a screen shot of this review, as I'm sure it will be taken down like the one my husband posted about an hour ago. That is not honest Mr Llewellyn. The public has a right to all reviews, whether they favor you or not. Again, please let me say A+++ on our windows, sliding door, and the sales, office staff and installers. Hats off to you. So Doug came in and fixed both the door and the shelving.... unfortunately that's where the good times ended. We were starting to think that we could end everything on good terms. When he went to leave, he proceeded to tell me how the issues that happened were my fault and told me that I needed to be truthful and demanded that I take these reviews down. I told him my interpretation of what was fixed and not fixed was a little different than his loose interpretation of "fixing" something. Then he proceeded to belittle my knowledge of construction in the industry even though I had two independent contractors, 2 family contractors and a building official give me the information I was using. Then, he proceeded to tell me how the BBB was a worthless piece of crap and that it's a joke. So we debated a little bit about differences as to who was at fault and what a fix was and as we spoke his demeanor and tone quickly got worse. It wasn't more than 2 minutes before I had to tell him to leave my house and after several demands, he finally left. This guy is a loose cannon. I have young children and he was getting heated in front of them and my wife. If I were someone looking to get new windows, no way would I let this guy into my house. I will never do business with Window World again. read more

I had 11 windows replaced and wrapped. I live on a golf course where some windows were broken from balls and I also live about 300 - 400 yards from a highway with a lot of noise. Doug sold me on the "airplane" story where I paid additional for the laminated windows which he explained were comparable to airports where you see the plane but you don't hear it. That sold me right there. It's not true. While the noise is less, it's far from the airport example. So, that is my first disappointment. Next, they missed two windows in the order so this took another 6-7 weeks to finish. Then the last problem was the "wraps" that I paid extra for were poorly done. Wind was coming in through the patio door all winter. The joints weren't flush, no caulking, and they were poorly insulated. I called with my concerns. I was told Doug would call and come to check on the noise (he never called). I called again when a window fogged. They had some workers who were going to be in the area to check on the fog so I showed them my other concerns. They could see what I was talking about and are finally listening. They are here today replacing/redoing the wraps I still have on the house. I had some siding work done and the contractor replaced some of the wraps because he didn't feel it was done well. It's been over a year since we first signed the contract with Doug and even though the noise issue will never be addressed nor resolved I am grateful to have the wraps redone properly (hopefully this time). read more
