When I was in Utah I generally found it easy to deal with healthcare as a self-pay / cash patient. Not so with this place. They constantly quoted me one price and then charged a higher price because my appointments took "too long." They kept coming up with ideas for expensive treatments that we provided by their own company -- interventional radiology, physical therapy. They are not responsible for the "opiod epidemic" but they are a huge part of problem, profiting from unnecessary services where the money goes into their pockets or those of sister companies. Then when there was a billing discrepancy, it took them two months to claim I had failed a drug test that turned out to be a false positive. They put me through a bunch of crap just to make more money and to be on the receiving end of the racket known as pain management. I don't want to provide more detail here because it would identify me to them, just look at all the reviews and find some other place. Or move to Nevada or CA and look into medical cannabis treatments :) read more

The nurses was good and friendly, explained clearly about medical and hip injured. Since we deaf, they immediately get interpreter to us before we show up at this place. No problem at all, I would give four or five stars. But, why one star? One of nurse called us "Deaf and Dumb", we big shocked. Interpreter was shocked too. I've been a chronic back pain sufferer for many years and recently moved to Utah and came to Utah Valley Pain Management looking for doctors that could help me manage chronic pain. I've been taking opioid analgesics for about 6 years and I found a dosing regimen that worked well for me. I saw two different doctors here and neither listened to me and only wanted to take away the one thing that helped manage my pain, opioid analgesics. These doctors hate opioids and will get you off them, whether they work or not. Find doctors that use a balanced approach to treating pain that may or may not include opioids. Also find doctors that will listen to you, these guys didn't care about anything I had to say. One star is too many. read more

I have been a patient for 3 months and have done everything they have asked me to do however my pain is getting worse. You don't get to see a doctor, only a PA. The PA has been extremely unhelpful and very accusatory. If you like being called a liar, then this is the clinic for you. read more

I have been going to Utah Valley Pain Management since 2009. They don't claim to cure your pain, but they do try their best to lower your pain and get you back to a better quality of life. I have Fibromyalgia, bulged discs and an annular tear. I have done epidural steroid injections, which typically help me for 1-2 years when combined with daily physical therapy exercise. Admitedly I'm a terrible patient and I'm not real consistent with my exercises. I know they work because I'm relatively pain free when I do them consistently. I recommend UVPM to anyone and everyone I meet! read more

The front desk staff was polite and friendly. However, that's where the good service ends. I have a good insurance plan for a reason. I was told I needed to pay over $400 up front just to be seen. Then while waiting in the lobby I talked with others about their experiences with the clinic. They said, like I experienced that their doctors in the Orem/Provo area referred them and have only had issues with scheduling, quality of care, and doctors who truly listen. I went through with my initial appointment, spoke with the doctor for ten minutes and they want to charge me for a comprehensive exam. None was given. I've been fighting the billing, and consequently will not be returning or recommending Utah Valley Pain Management to ANYONE!! Two stars rating for the nice front desk staff. Utah valley pain management...... Please don't waste your time going here. I had an auto accident last year and have been dealing with back pain. Utah valley pain has never called to follow up with after my initial appointment. After my first visit i was directed to go to an imaging center which was great the problem was that Utah valley pain had never sent the paperwork over. After many calls and voicemails over months I was finally able to visit the imaging center. After getting some injections I was supposed to call Utah valley pain management to schedule a follow up appointment. The problem is that they can't fit me in for a month. How is your back supposed to heal if you can not been seen for follow ups? On top of there lack of organization this has been going on for months. So between Utah valley imaging bad follow ups and lack of organization I will find someone else to assist me. PLEASE!!!! Do not waste your time by coming to Utah valley pain management. I hope they see this review and correct their ways. For now I will be going somewhere else! read more

I was very happy with the provider I saw until June 2020. In June 2019 I was taking an opioid. Megan Jensen Hill changed my med to Buprenorphine. Received no relief. Was referred for several procedures. Then nothing was helping. Begged to return to opioid for ONE YEAR. Always this excuse or another. Then came Covid19. What a perfect excuse. Finally went to primary care provider for relief. I was prescribed opioid after much searching about how to prescribe. All went well for a week. At 2 am woke up with muscle cramps I could barely tolerate. Called her office. I have worst withdrawal you can imagine. She gave awesome advice. 24 hours later still in withdrawal. Could last another 24 hours. 48 hours total. Then realized the dirty little secret. Megan knew this could happen. This clinic has no support for withdrawal. If you are prescribed BUPIRENORPHINE. RUN FOR THE HILLS. There will NO support! read more

Utah valley pain management isn't the best place I've gone to & I've been injured most of my life. Scheduling is always a joke and they hold it against you even if the mistake is their own. Thus is due to the fact that they seem to think they are right no matter the situation. You guys who couldn't get in are lucky, I've been going there a few years now and every time I leave that place I feel down and in general they leave you feeling you did something wrong even tho u havent. All the providers run under the 2 doctors that you will rarely even see and they have the employees reacting based on the last scare on the Internet it's annoying but kind of funny at the same time. From the moment you go there until you finally leave you will more than likely feel as tho they think you are a drug adict. They say that's not what they think but they won't take your word on any occasion nor display trust accept the few there for years without problems they will let you come back every 2 to 3 month's but only after like 2 years and even then they will not work around your needs. They expect you to work your life around them. Let's say you want to go in vacation or to a funeral far away. You better not need you meds filled because they don't care what you have going on and this is how they treat the compliant patients! If you are injured for an extended time I would skip this place if you can because they are the worst I've had the pleasure of going to. Insurance is the reason I have been stuck with them but I will find myself some other place. There has to be a way cuz this is the worst time I've had with any doctor of any kind in any country. They appear to trust no one and ONLY have them and their license and they're fears in mind because it's rare to hear them talk about anything else seriously. You might be thinking this guy had a ad experience and the place is maybe ok or maybe he is an adict who knows. All I can say is go there and find out and please if you do please come back here and give your honest review be it good or bad. Years ago I quit going to this office because they couldn't get my appointments scheduled correctly. I wish I had remembered it this time around when I was referred to go here again by my doctor. My first appointment went like this: I arrived and they said I didn't have an appointment and they didn't know who I was. I pulled out my smartphone and show them the email that I received from their office indicating that I had indeed scheduled an appointment for that day at that time. I waited for over an hour so they could fit me in. I started remembering my previous experience in this office but decided to give them a chance anyway. So I scheduled an appointment for the next day at 3:15 PM. As I'm driving to this appointment, having left work to do so, I get a text message saying that I had an appointment at 4 PM at the office. I called them and they indicated that they did indeed have me down for 4:00 PM and not 3:15 PM. All the while I am looking at the card that they wrote saying 3:15 PM. In my opinion if you value your time, sanity, and want to get actual treatment go elsewhere. ! read more

I have 20 years experience billing medical insurance and they do not even understand the basics of how to bill and read a claims payment. I had to call our insurance company and deal with everything myself as they refused to do anything. I have spent over 80 hours dealing with their poor billing services. I have been a patient for seven years and they where awesome up until IHC took over then the last three months have been hell. I was a firefighter and injured my back on the job after four failed surgery's there wasn't a lot anyone could do for me no spinal injections because of scar tissue no more surgery's so i was sent to Utah Valley Pain Management. it was good and had been doing the exact same thing for the past 7.5 years then when IHC took over they started changing what was working for me to be some what productive to now almost bed ridden and they do NOT care how bad you hurt although they had me on something that worked. Well today i went in and the doctor is wanting to take me off everything i hurt so bad every day and now take me off everything i would if i could function but i cant and they do not care pass the buck saying that it is CDC that is decreasing everything well that is not true as CDC states if you have Patients on more meds than there guide lines to just monitor them once a month and i was going every month. Well the doctor stated a med count was off in November and so if i was to change Doctors that would be in his notes i own part of that because i forgot my meds a couple of visits. So I have a third Party Looking over my pharmacy Record. and when i get them next week Records From This Office and Notes from the PA i have seen for years with no issues up until about three months ago as my third party stated today if you have seen the same PA for this many years every 28 days then how would anything ever be off and with him looking at it that makes sense. Another good point he brought up is my insurance will not pay if filled early. So if you are truly in pain and need Help stay away from here because they are under there own rules and could care less if you are suffering or hurting and after being a patient for this many years its really a kick to the face. They need to take pain management out of there Name because they are failing and causing patients of many years a lot of pain and suffering.Not Only Physically But Mentally and my family suffers with me no one wants to see loved ones go from being some what active to being in bed all most 24 hours a day and not sleeping. This was the worst doctor's office I have EVER been to. I guess if you are not in pain, want to spend a lot of money, and deal with incompetent doctors and staff... This is your place. I have had chronic migraines for 4 years. I have been to countless doctors and specialists. The staff and doctors didn't listen to me or let me talk (they kept interrupting). The doctor Google searched several medications on Google because he was unsure of risks in prescribing. The nurse practitioner left me in the room for 15ish minutes to consult the doctor and make a treatment plan with the doctor before I'd even talked with the doctor. When I did talk to the doctor he was uninterested in my severe anxiety and depression and in fact recommended I take Topamax. He said since I'm on Zoloft I should be fine to take Topamax even though its side effects include anxiety and depression... ?? Apparently he doesn't know very much about depression. His "plan" for me at the end was to send me to a psychologist and a physical therapist. I have tried multiple physical therapists and I have a psychologist already. I told him this, but he still insisted I should try "his" recommendations... These people are ignorant, rude, incompetent, and uncaring. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! My nurse practitioner at my OBGYN's office knew more about pain than any of the people I met here. read more
