My prior experience with chiropractors unfortunately proved true the oft parodied and stereotyped doctor who is more interested in breeding patients dependent on regular visits/adjustments (and payments) than teaching the patients the healthy habits necessary to achieve health independence. Dr. Owens takes the latter approach. Through a prescribed regimen of physical exercises and healthy practices, I have reached a level of wellness I haven't experienced in years, with the added benefit of not being dependent on regular visits to the doctor.

Living with chronic ailments is a horrible way to live, so instead I invest in my well-being by doing what I can on my own at home then coming to Dr. Finlinson for relief. I learned long ago that if I let pain fester, thinking it'll subside or go away eventually, it gets worse and never better. This momma in pain is a cranky, sad momma. Getting chiropractic treatments sooner than later keeps my spirits up and pain at bay. And if you are in need of treating physical maladies, I recommend seeing a chiropractor first as they are more open to procedures and treatments that work instead of going the pharmaceutical surgical route. 5* = A top favorite. had an extremely upsetting experience with Advanced Sports Medicine Clinic…read more I came in experiencing significant lower back pain, and I specifically told the doctor that I was also having abdominal pain and symptoms that were concerning to me. The Doctor still proceeded and gave me two steroid injections in my lower back. Shortly after being seen there. my condition became significantly worse and I ended up in the ER. I went into urinary retention, required a catheter, developed severe weakness in my legs, and eventually lost the ability to walk normally. I was ultimately hospitalized while doctors tried to determine what was happening. What has been especially difficult for me is knowing that I was trying to communicate that something felt seriously wrong with my body before everything escalated. Regardless of what ultimately caused my neurological symptoms, I wish my concerns and the combination of symptoms I was reporting had been taken more seriously and that I had been advised to seek a higher level of medical evaluation. After everything I went through--the ER, hospitalization, skilled nursing home, loss of mobility, bladder issues, and the ongoing recovery, I was honestly shocked that the clinic had the audacity to call me and still pursue my copay as though this had been an ordinary visit after what they put me through, given the circumstances, I would have expected significantly more compassion and consideration. This experience has had an enormous impact on my life, and unfortunately I would not feel comfortable returning to this clinic or recommending it to someone experiencing complex or rapidly worsening symptoms under this clinics care.
