Despite maintaining a clean diet, exercising five days a week, and rock climbing twice weekly, I continued to gain weight and live with constant pain. Working with Rita Rutland at Restorative Health has been truly life changing. She is exceptionally attentive, deeply knowledgeable, and takes a holistic, evidence based approach to care. Rather than masking symptoms, she identified the underlying causes and created a treatment plan tailored specifically to me. Under her guidance, I've lost 40 pounds after years of seeing no progress and have gained meaningful relief from chronic pain that once controlled my life. Rita also helped manage my post surgical pain following ACL reconstruction when other providers fell short. For anyone who feels unheard or stuck in a cycle of trial and error healthcare, I cannot recommend Rita and Restorative Health highly enough. They deliver what modern medicine so often misses: genuine partnership, deep understanding, and lasting results.

Last week I had an infusion. I find them to be either mind-blowing, eye-opening or super relaxing and just letting my mind do it's thing. It's so great. Now the people that work there are another thing... they are The Incredibles!! The front office staff is so welcoming, knowledgeable, and easy to schedule with. The doctors, Rita and Mercedes treat their patients with kindness, respect, and they are sincerely there to help people. Jamie will sit with you during your ketamine treatment. She seriously is 100% comfort! I highly recommend using guides your first few times at least. This is the place to go and the appointments are easy to get. Just call! =)

I'm just starting my diagnosis and treatment with this group, but I want to share my journey with…read morethem to share cost, experience, process & plan of treatment. First- I'm not into hippie & I'm not into non proven medical practices, but I'm also open to non traditional practices. I'm not rich so a doctor outside of my insurance was a little scary. Whatever I pay towards feels like a gamble. I had great reviews for this office and both Dr. Peterson and Seibold. I'm still taking my time to trust they can cure me but so far my experience's been positive. Details of a few areas below. 1) customer experience: Office manager Meghan/ Megan was soooo sweet & also soo knowledgeable. Even after my appt with the doc, she answered in-depth medication questions I expected the doc to only know. She wasn't B'sing either. 2) Blood work & check in done by Vicki/Vicky. It was the smoothest & painless I've done. I usually pass out or get dizzy. She warmed a pad for me, chairs were comfy & she was so sweet. 3) Dr. Seibold sat with me an entire hour! Ok that alone was such a valuable experience. someone care and listen. I've felt so passed off by Dr. Berman at Uof U. but Seibold shared that even when he practiced in traditional medicine he would have passed me along too because that's how they are taught so they don't know other forms of treatment for bacterial, nuero, fungal viral etc. Seibold said he's been practicing more whole body care integrative medicine for a few yrs but used to be a traditional nuts & bolts type doc. Lyme journey I've gone the traditional route was referred by my GP at UofU for a lumber puncture & MRI even though I've been sick for so long. He saw the tick that bit me & still didn't order tests. I may spend less here than what I'd pay for normal out of pocket limit with my insurance, which is 9k. I think I could save money too if I lower my current premium with my insurance.; if these treatments work. I'm still at the testing but I'll report back to share info on future experiences. Seibald shared science backed options that were non traditional and also uses traditional approaches for Lyme, such as antibiotics. Now these treatments aren't cheap but so far I'm thinking it will be less than my out of pocket limit. They have things I didn't need like weight loss stuff but they didn't make me feel bad for not being into or needing it. Just stay your course. They do a lot of stuff and don't get sucked into any up sell unless you are financially fluid. Insurance: Most things are not covered by insurance, but they will try to help get tests covered if possible.

I highly recommend Dr. Seibold as a functional medicine doctor and all around great provider. I…read morefound out about Forum Health and Dr. Peterson originally, through hearing numerous positive things within the Lyme and tic-born illness community. It is very difficult to get appropriate diagnoses and treatment of late stage Lyme, mold toxicity, tic-born illness, and common co-occuringI infections and disorders. Dr. Seibold, Dr. Peterson's colleague, had openings so I met with him. I am 55 and have had a lifetime of various physical illnesses that run the gammut from acne to chronic sinusitis to ruptured discs. He is one of the best doctors I have ever been to (CA and UT). He is kind, calm, respectful, and professional but approachable. He is fully present in the room when he is with you and makes sure that you have everything you need in hand when you leave (as you know this is unfortunately rare). He listens carefully and explains complex medical concepts in a way that respects your intelligence but also makes them easy to digest. I am facing 5-6 debilitating diagnoses that are complicated to treat and include mental health components. Both he and all of the staff have shown me an amazing amount of patience and compassion. I dont have enough good things to say about him and the staff from the front desk, medical assistants to the phlebotomist.

Severe uvulitis with necrosis. {{Look it up!}} My son's soft palate was swollen + bruised hot pink/purple. His uvula was stretched out + *blood red*. "Hot potato" voice. Plus the sloughing off of gray matter for two weeks, and the now partially-missing uvula. It was a 30-minute procedure! This wrongdoing should never have happened. I suspected negligence? The anesthesiologist was Dr Keith Warner. I filed a complaint with Intermountain, and Dr Warner called me and we spoke about my son's condition. Dr Warner said he takes pride in his work. He excels to the point of being OCD, and he claimed to not understand how this happened. He said he was very upset that my son was injured. I'm giving two and a half stars because IMO a 1-star means life threatening/death. The trauma that was inflicted upon my son's airway took TWO WEEKS to recover from. For TEN days he said it felt like swallowing "fire" and "glass." His abdominal surgery was a breeze compared to the hell he's been recovering from. Dr Warner suggested using his pain clinic if we had further issues.

It seems useful for chemotherapy induced neuropathy (only heard about it recently from oncologist). Seems to be a method that also is non-narcotic option for the weird phantom pain/chronic regional pain/post electrocution/post-herpetic neuralgia pain type issues... (the dumb pain the brain makes when the actual insult is long gone whether it be post fire or surgery or chemical poisoning the nerve- probably not for folks still doing chemo or who have a massive tumor under it and less effective to diabetic neuropathy). But he also seems to be an all around pain specialist and does injections so bravo! Be patient as the office isn't always open; and staffing might not always have access to his schedule when he's doing full anesthesia duties at the hospital and it's probably shared staffing and so something you've had for months to years won't fix overnight and I'm betting if it's acute chest pain or abdominal pain he'll send you to the ER for the usual rule out first.

Then he works with me to manage my pain and since I started going to his clinic I am finally stable. When I first started going to his clinic I was in so much pain from my fibromyalgia, and ruptured disks in my back that when Terri Clawson, the PA I was originally seeing, touched me to check the sensitivity of the pressure points I was flinching away, then by the time she was finished I was sobbing. Terri left a few years ago to start her own business and partially retire. I decided to stay with Dr Chen and Alta Pain Physicians for a couple of reasons. One being I liked everyone I had seen at the clinic. They were all understanding, kind, and were knowledgeable about managing pain. And secondly because I had already had my primary care physician, who was managing my pain, retire on me. I didn't want to go through that again, if I could help it. I had already gone through a horrible experience trying to find a new doctor / ain clinic to help me. This other pain clinic i was going to just before coming to Alta Pain Physicians was a horrendous experience and was part of the reason I was flaring so much and in so much pain when I first came to the clinic. I definitely didn't want to go through that again. After Terri left I started seeing Shane Green. He was terrific too. He was able to work with me and after I started working remotely I was feeling even better since I could lay down on my breaks if I needed to and I didn't have to drive 40 minutes one way to work & home each day, plus getting up early enough to dress up each morning and all of that nonsense when you need to wear business dress for work. I was able to decrease the medicine I was taking because of working from home. There wasn't a bunch of pressure to do this but I was feeling so much better and I felt it was time to try to decrease my pain medicine. I was able to decrease my pain meds by 50% Shane said. I don't know if it was that much but it was signific and Shane said he was really proud of me since I did that all in my own. But the clinic helped me to much that it was't really on my own. They sent me to do some physical therapy with Mountain Land physical therapy, they specialize in patients with fibromyalgia. I hadn't been able to do much physical therapy before because it made me hurt more due to my fibromyalgia problems. But they found this place that stated the specialize in these patients and they were good to their claims. During this time I also was afflicted with neuropathy because my B12 became so low. I had to do daily injections for a while. And this is something that never goes away once your afflicted with it. So even though I was feeling a lot better I still had issues that will probably be ongoing, probably lasting for the rest of my life. That is kind of depressing but I have been dealing with the fibromyalgia for about 20 years. So, I guess I'm kind of used to it and I am still doing much better!! Shane left the clinic about a year ago and I really miss him. But Dr Chen takes excellent care of me even with some of the PA's leaving. He understands where I am at and where I have been. He's a talented kind doctor! I have never known a doctor who when he gives you an injection and you flinch, he apologizes. But that's his nature. I appreciate all he has and continues to do for me!!

What typically ends up happening is either they get concerned about them with the scripts they provide especially over long periods of time, despite the justification and either cut you off or start to say, you're a problem. Exactly what my 4 year PCP did. Just guided me along with further dependence and likely near a million dollars in insurance claims with my care. I stopped seeing him when he said he'd stay my dr but do 0 for anything regarding pain or chronic issues. The moment I asked for further help outside of PT and medications- things got worse. And staying did not make much sense. On a last ditch effort to advocate for myself- I tried this office in September 2025. I brought every scan, post surgical image I have and pleaded for help but with little hope given many stigmas I've been held to before. I have been nothing welcomed, heard, cared for and even accommodated with a recent insurance lapse for medications. This whole office is kind, understanding and non judgmental. That is beyond hard to find anymore! Are they semi- expensive, yes but very much worth the validation and support I have received. Thanks to Phusion I can live my life again with some sanity while facing many serious issues that have no cure. Thank you, Phusion!!
