What a hidden gem!!!…read more Some background info because I was shocked to find this place. I live in Grove City and work in Columbus. I've been to many Indian restaurants. Last night, I had a craving for butter chicken, and ended up getting it from a place in downtown cbus. I was disappointed because the food was not good. Today, my dogs had a grooming appointment in London. I like to stay in London while my dogs get groomed. I googled "Indian restaurant" and Apna Punjabi Dhaba came up- mind you, I was not expecting to find an Indian place even in London since there's not many non-chain or non-American restaurants there. I was shocked to see an Indian food truck! I still had that craving for a good butter chicken lol. I was very confused when I didn't see a website, fb, or ig. Saw a few reviews saying you have to call to know the available food to order. After seeing a lot of google reviews, I decided I would try it. I called the food truck and asked what they had available. The man I spoke to was super friendly. He said a total of 4 dishes I think, but I can't remember all what he said. I just know he said butter chicken lol. I ordered butter chicken and 2 orders of roti. Rice comes with the chicken. He asked if I wanted mild, medium, or hot. I went with mild because I like to see where the spice baseline is. He said it would take 20-25 minutes and asked if I knew where he was located. I said yes, but he still told me that's he's located on the property of the motel next to speedway. I appreciated that info because I wasn't sure where I was going to park. Thankfully the truck is bright yellow and easy to spot! Parking was easy since there's lot of spots on the motel property. Food took about 21 minutes. When I picked up the food, the two men that I interacted with were very nice. They take Apple Pay. I didn't eat my food until about 45 minutes later, when I got home. Wow was I shocked by how good it was!! The chicken wasn't dry at all and had great flavor. The sauce/gravy was nice and creamy, and the consistency was perfect- smooth and had good thickness. The mild spice was good choice. Lots of flavor, and still had a bit of spice to it. Next time, I'll try medium. The rice was good too, and the roti was very tasty. You can tell it's homemade! Really big portions! This will be at least 2 meals for me, if not 3. Butter chicken craving fulfilled!! I will definitely come back every time my dogs get groomed. This is the best food I've had in London, but it's also some of the best Indian food I've had in Ohio. Apna could definitely compete with the best Indian places in Columbus! Cant wait to go back and try other dishes.

I love Indian food. I love food trucks. And in the unlikeliest truck stop in London, Ohio you can…read morefind the best of both! Apna Punjabi Dhaba serves up delicious, fresh and authentic Indian food that rivals any restaurant. We had paratha, mutter paneer curry and rice. It came with yogurt as a side. We also ordered hot chai to drink. Everything was delicious and tasted home-made. Spice levels were about a medium. Portions were generous. And the owners are super kind and friendly. I can't wait to come back! It's the dhaba life for me.

I noticed a wood-paneled trailer at a local festival, and it turned out to have great barbecue…read more.. The menu was limited (he said the trailer was new and they were still getting things set up.) Brisket and pork sandwiches, macaroni salad, chips, and drinks. Sweetie and I (and Baby K) shared. The brisket was outstanding. Tender, flavorful, crisped a bit at the edges, no sauce necessary. The pork was decent. Tender, but with less flavor; I added a bit of sauce. Still good, just not amazing. The mac salad was unique- lots of mustard and pickle flavor, and in fact some pickles mixed in. Different, but very good. The tea was good, but not sweet enough for us. The lemonade was just okay. Service was super friendly and fast. Prices are reasonable. I'll definitely be watching for them at other events. Oh, and Baby K already loves BBQ, and chowed down on everything from here (we skipped the sauce for her.)

This place is fantastic! Dare I say it's one of the best places to get real southern smoked BBQ…read more The owner has been smoking meat for over 20 years, has won several competitions and is basically unknown in Columbus as of yet! Each day he has smoked brisket, pork and often has smoked turkey that is oh so juicy. They also do specials like smoked sausage and something called a ripper dog that's smoked then deep fried! Give this food stand/truck a try and I'm positive you will be back. I know I will be!

The guy has always asked if I want it to burn just today, or tomorrow too, and they'll crank up the heat accordingly. Tonight however, they convinced me to try the Surf & Turf roll and oh brother...outstanding! This one has loads of lobster AND brisket, delivering a knockout in flavor. Even at a hefty $32 for a roll and chips, I wasn't mad about it. This is a much larger roll than other lobster trucks out there and is seriously packed with meat and then loaded with toppings. These guys don't skimp on food or flavor. Plus, the dudes running the truck are funny and certainly give good advice on what to try. This one is a can't miss for me whenever I see them roll into town (which is pretty rare where I am). However...if you have little kids...maybe just send mom or dad up to order, as it can get spicy (just like the roll) sometimes.

I parked my car and walked over to the food truck, and I was lucky to literally be next in line. I ordered the recommended lobster roll from the fine gentlemen that was doing the serving. I also ordered a water because it was rather warm. I gathered my lunch walked over to a picnic table, nearby and sat down to eat. My first bite into the sandwich or roll as they label them was literally a shock to my memory, it took me back to being in Maine many years ago and getting a lobster roll at a restaurant. Now I know my memory is not what it used to be, but I can honestly say this was a freaking delicious lobster roll. I ate the entire roll, wiped my face with a napkin at the table. And went up and told the server behind the counter how good the food was and that I can't wait to literally find them close by again. I will admit, I did not eat all the potato chips, because I didn't need them, but they were also good. I just read on Facebook where they're going to be in Westchester on July 20 now I need to find out where because that's literally five minutes from my house. I truly cannot wait to order another lobster roll or two. If you've never eaten at this food truck, I highly recommend it. On the day I purchased my role. It was $29 which a lot of people might think is a lot of money literally for a sandwich, but I will tell you this it is truly worth it.

Literally right off I-70 (exit 59) in the BP gas station parking lot on Rt. 41 S, this food truck is GOOOOD!! Pretty extensive menu for a food truck, definitely something for just about everyone, from apps., breads, entrees, traditional drinks and desserts. I wasn't 100% excited about my dal makhani (spicy lentils w/rice) but that's on me, not them. It was a little too soupy for my liking, next time I'll try something else. My paneer paratha was a great alternative to the usual na'an, MUCH more flavor... I'd go for that option, or something similar, again. I asked for extra chutney, the green was great but the red was a watery mess. VERY reasonably priced, quick and friendly service, what's not to like? I'm almost POSITVE they'll get that fifth star from me on my NEXT visit!! Namaste, Nawab!!
